"Good Buy"
I bought this for my DVD's. It looks good and was easy to put together. It's adjustable for DVD's, CD's and Tapes. It's sturdy and worth hte price.

"Nice Rack"
It took a little bit of intuition to assemble for my needs. That's because it is flexible to many needs. The instructions were not great but not that hard either. If you don't want to assemble it...invite a smart friend over to do it for you. It holds much of my collection well and fit's under my living room window.

"Atlantic 3533-5009 Elf Jr. Multimedia Rack"
So much better than stacking games and movies on your desk, entertainment center, etc. Very simple to assemble, but it may be a bit time consuming. The backless design is okay, but make sure to use the easy-to-use arches that keep the cases in place, or they may fall over and drop out of the back.

Overall, I recommend this cheap rack to anyone.

"We bought it again and again and again!"
I initially purchased this unit to handle the over-flow of DVDs that were being stored in our family room entertainment console. After viewing what was available in furniture stores and all of our local "Super Box Stores", I decided that this shelving's small footprint and excellent pricing made it an ideal choice. I was able to butt the unit up to the side of my oak console without it appearing to look out of place, and all the movies were in close proximity to each other.

After having the shelving for a short period of time, our oldest began to complain about all the CDs and DVDs that she had stored in a cardboard box in her college dorm room. I purchased a second unit and she found that it actually took up less space than the box, all of her titles were clearly visible and CDs were no longer falling out of their cases. Again, it sits compactly next to the TV, unlike some of those DVD towers that tend to get easily toppled.

A remodel of our lower level led to the purchase of our third unit. All the Disney VHS Classics that we purchased years ago are beautifully displayed, and even the VHS tapes that were packaged in "clam shell cases" fit easily on the shelves. The top shelf can accommodate 60 CDs, all in their original jewel cases.

Assembly was straight-forward; however I don't even refer to the directions any more! The sliding stops are easily moved from one shelf to another, and ensure that the cases remain vertical, even when a nosy cat is pawing at them, nor has the cat ever knocked the shelf over; the base is very sturdy. Two units will stack quite well; however to date I have not had the need to do so.

Our second child is preparing to leave for college this fall and we will not hesitate to purchase yet another unit. This is an excellent product offered at a good price!

"Great stand great price"
I bought this dvd stand after reviewing several options, I wanted an open stand because of lack of space to open and close cabinets. What really stuck out was it was stackable for my growing dvd and video game collections. It fit perfectly next to my tv and is very sturdy even on my carpet. I would gladly recommend this to a friend. Great price for a nice stand.

What our customer's say!

"Great product at a great price", This dvd rack is one of the best I have seen. My in-laws have the bigger one and the look is wonderful. It holds a lot of dvds, blurays, cds, etc. Very lightweight and stylish. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone.

"Great rack, sturdy and attractive", I looked around for a CD rack for quite a while. One of the things I didn't like about most other racks I looked at was that most of them had fixed shelf spacings to accommodate both CDs and DVDs, which meant that if you used it for just CDs you would have a lot of wasted air space between shelves. This one comes with enough rods to set up 4 shelves if you are just using the rack for CDs. I like the black and metal modern style of this one with the low profile design. My one stylistic complaint would be the "donuts" at the top intended for stacking two racks together, but I just chose not to install them. It leaves a half-circle cut at the top, but that doesn't bother me.

Reading the other reviews before ordering this, I had been concerned about some of the criticism about the build quality and assembly instructions. But I was perfectly satisfied on both of those counts. The rack seems plenty sturdy enough, with wide feet to keep the rack stable even on carpet. I've had it for over a month and I haven't noticed any significant sagging of the rods on a fully loaded shelf as another reviewer mentioned.

The assembly instructions are mostly in pictures and don't spell out everything in words, but all parts are properly labeled, so if you follow the pictures carefully as you're assembling it, all of the information is there to build it correctly. I didn't find any errors in the instructions.

Overall I'm very happy with this rack and wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.

"Good", The DVD case works well. I have had one for years and finally needed to add another. The only down side is though they are stackable, when you put one on top of the other, it reduces how many DVDs total you can stack. Whereas apart, there are three rows for DVDs, on top of one another, there's a total of 5 rows. But it's still a good product and saves a lot of space.

"Easy to assemble, not easy to fill, looks good", The assembly instructions, contrary to other reviewers' complaints, are actually very easy to follow, even if they require more steps than one might think ought to be necessary for the putting together of a CD rack.

Once assembled, though, I'd suggest loading many CDs at once--else, if you try to put just a few at a time, they are very likely to fall through the "shelves" repeatedly. This is really a minor complaint, though, to be fair, loading CDs onto a rack shouldn't require as much skill as the Elf Jr. demands.

Lastly, this baby does look pretty swanky, if you care about that sort of thing.

"great!", awesome dvd rack! its not to big and fits great almost where ever you want it and because it is expandable, i might be getting another one soon! When i have more DVDs than it can hold.

"Small, functional, classy", Although I've ripped all my music to digital, I still like to have the actual CDs around. They reflect my musical tastes, the printed material provide background, and they're durable backup!

But where to put them? The previous rack I had was neither large nor attractive, so I went looking around without much success. The narrow single CD stackers look odd, and they don't hold much. Many other stackers are made out of plastic that is neither attractive nor durable.

Then I saw an Atlantic Elf Multimedia rack in a store. It looked sharp, sturdy, and well-suited to my needs. Alas, it was a bit bigger than what I wanted, and cost $100! This motivated me to go looking on Amazon, where I found the "Junior" model for a great price!

The unit is just like its bigger brother: solid, attractive, and functional. I like that it has style as well as function; it's not just some plastic thing sitting in the corner.

Prospective buyers, please note that the unit comes completely disassembled. I thought the instruction manual was reasonably clear. The parts are *very* clearly marked; small parts are in plastic bags that are marked with a letter, large parts are individual marked. The drawings are good. The design and construction are quite good. They even include spare parts. I was impressed!

Still, I am a big do-it-yourselfer and home mechanic. Your experience may vary.

"Great product for the price", We purchased the Elf Jr. for the audio/visual department at our church. The product is compact, lightweight, solid base, holds a generous quantity of (VHS, CD & DVD). A great buy for the price and free shipping is a bonus! If you rely solely on written instructions for putting things together, you may have a difficult time. If you can follow pictures you will have no problems at all. If you need a good solid rack that looks great and hold a variety of audio/visual items and you don't want to spend a lot of money, we recommend this product.

"not entirely perfect--but still all right by me !!!", This attractive media storage rack by Atlantic can stores combinations of CDs, DVDs and even VHS tapes. Of course you can use it for just one of the three types of media, too. In that case it can store up to 232 CDs, 120 DVDs or 60 VHS tapes. It fits nicely up against a wall and the design with its titanium coloring goes with most contemporary and modern décor.

The rack is easy to lift and carry around your room or your home. One cautionary note: I wouldn't move the rack when it was full or even just partially full, either. Empty the rack before moving it so that you don't risk media spilling all over your floor or shelf dividers coming loose and falling onto your floor.

This rack is particularly useful for persons with large CD collections. Amazon correctly notes that the rack holds up to 232 CDs--excellent! At less than three feet high it won't get in the way of most windows or artwork hanging on the walls of your home.

I have some concerns about the overall construction of the unit and its assembly. Frankly, the instructions were very difficult to understand and I had to actually get a friend to help me assemble this thing! Ouch! There are a gazillion small screws connecting things and the assembly can take some while. In addition, please be careful not to overload a shelf--it can cause the shelf to bend downward because of the weight on it and then it looks pretty ugly. Even after you cover up that shelf with media, the media themselves are not even because the bent shelf on which they rest is uneven. Sigh.

Although they say you can stack these, I can't comment on that because I haven't attempted to do that. Sorry!

In short, this is a good rack as long as you are great with mediocre instructions that can be rather cryptic at times. It reliably holds a fair amount of media but as I mentioned above it cannot be manhandled--use care when moving this rack! Once you do get past the instructions, however, I would highly recommend this media storage rack by Atlantic for anyone with larger media collections.

"Good Stuff", Great product - easy to assemble - when I finished the first section I found I needed more space - purchased another one and added it on - worked great

"Try to get it in town. got damaged in shipping twice.", I ordered two Elf racks because one rack was too small. They shipped them in a tight fitting box with no protection of coarse the ends were dented on both sets. I sent them back and they shipped some new ones out in a big box with padding but the padding moved and one of the racks were damaged. I sent them back for a refund. I noticed they have the exact same rack at Target but a foot taller with an extra shelf but with a Target brand box. I got that instead. Since the Target one holds another row I didn't need to buy two of them so I saved a lot of money plus if there was any damage you could easily return it and was $39 which is cheaper that Amazon's Elf.
