"Great slicer for the money"
This slicer works real well. So far we have used it to slice turkey breasts, ham, roast beef, and homemade bread. It works best if you can have a "block" of meat. With that said, ham, roast beef, and bread work best. Your results will also be better if you let your meat cool or chill ahead of time.

"If you are looking for a commercial slicer...."
If you are looking for a commercial slicer don't buy this one. It will only give you a reason to gripe! It is not a commercial grade slicer but it does not claim to be.

But if you are looking for a good household slicer, this is a good deal for the price. I have owned mine for more than two years and have sliced everything from semi-frozen meat to cheese to tomatoes to potatoes. I have even used it to take corn off of the cob for freezing.

We do a lot of entertaining and I have used it to slice meat and vegtables thin enough to put on a stone for cooking. I have used it to make 2 inch square blocks of raw meat to put into stews. I have used it to slice brisket, sausage and chicken off the pit. I do not put commercial demands on it and have yet to be disappointed in it's performance.

"do not buy this"
This slicer works fine if you dont have to clean it. However the blade is attached with a plastic screw!! I read the reviews before I bought this machine and all the negative reviews mention this, so I was prepared. I made sure I did not over tighten the blade so I would not break the screw. The very first time I used it I sliced a beautiful roast no complaints, but when I went to clean the slicer up I broke the flimsy plastic screw. I knew it was fragile. I took care not to break it, but it is impossible not to break. Do not buy this machine!!!!!!

"Awesome Food Slicer"
This product is great. We use it almost daily. Very easy to clean. Cuts cheese, turkey, ham, tomatoes, onions and lettuce better than the deli. Would recommend to others who would like to save money by cutting their own lunch meats and cheeses.

"deli slicer delight"
This is so cool to slice up your own food. Do you know how much you save per pound by cutting meat yourself rather than buying prepackaged sliced deli meat ? Alot !!! Meat, cheeses, vegies and fruit slice beautifully. Clean up only takes a few min. Great buy...

What our customer's say!

"Chef's Choice 610 Review", I have been using this to slice various summer garden grown vegetables for canning. It's worked perfectly and the cleanup, as stated by other reviewers, is a snap.

"Chef's Choice 610", Arrived timely in excellent condition. Works as described. However, it doesn't do a very good job making "deli-thin" slices. Thicker (1/16" and greater) are fine.

"Decent for the money", The picture makes it look better than it is. Keeping it sanitary will be a big concern as it packs the meat into a crack on the bottom. Some of it can be cleaned by removing parts, then there is the those other places. Someone also mentioned that it doesn't cut slices evenly, which is true. You can flip the meat over, or push slower, either helps. Overall, it is decent for the money and I would recommend or buy it again.

"Works great, cleans up quickly----well designed and made.", My title says it all. Well designed, well made, cleans up easy and does what I need it to (slice meat for jerky).

"Making pleasant looking food was never easier.", I have only used my slicer twice since I received it. First, I would like to remind purchasers that the blades (I bought the ham slicer blade) are very sharp. However, used according to instructions keeps fingers on your hand and a smile on your face. I had great success by allowing the meat to sit in the refrigerator long enough to become more solid. After slicing I applied a glaze then baked an additional time. I again used the ham slicer blade for a beef brisket following the same procedure. It provided perfect presentable slices which were placed in sealed bags and frozen. The meat was used later for curry, Stroganoff, and sandwiches. Slicing the meat extended the meat over more servings. I highly recommend this slicer.

It does take a while to clean up but if done immediately after use it is quite a snap. All the parts necessary for cleaning are exposed for a cloth to reach.

Remember: Be careful around the blades they are sharp. After all that's why they work so well.

"Lives up to reputation!", I had two slicers before but always have trouble with them staying put and the motors weren't nearly as powerful as this one. This one is heavy enough, that it stayed in one place. It also is very powerful and didn't bog down. It did a very neat job slicing cold meat so I am sure that it will slice anything else that I put on it. I am very happy with the item. I most definately would recommend to anyone looking for a low cost, useful slicer.

"Unhappy with Amazon", The item is great and I recieved it promptly and in good condition.
I do regret that Amazon seems to insist on recording my personal info in order for me to buy something. That is, in order to buy the slicer, I had to CREATE AN ACCOUNT which I did not want to do since that would leave my personal info in Amazon's files making that info retrievable by the bad guys. I therefore need to create and then remove my accout info everytime I want to buy something. That takes some time.

"Very good home slicer", This slicer does a good job of cutting and is easy to clean.
NOT plastic junk but is solidly constructed.
It has a good weight that is not to heavy to be stored easily.

"Slicer is Excellent, Cuts Paper Thin any Meat", This slicer is great and we love it. Cheese, Carne Asada, Vegetables, Chicken Breast no bone, Boneless Pork. Works on all these and cuts paper thin. Locking washer and nut that hold blade must be taken care of as it tends to get tight easily and sometimes hard to take off. I use pliers sometimes or a flat tip screwdriver if this happens. It doesnt disrupt the operation or safety of it but takes longer to clean due to it. We have saved a lot of money buying in bulk at Costco and buying the block cheese and meats. We slice it at home now just like the deli's. Food taste Deli Fresh and stays well longer due to this at home. This a much better and versatile option over a Mandolin that we thought of buying at first.

"Chef's Choice 610 Premium Electric Food Slicer ", for the price this is very good slicer easy to clean and the motor has power to slice meat with no problem this is a very safe and easy to usa
