"well worth the money"
For me to rent a steam cleaner from the grocery store, I need to pay $20. plus product, leave a fat deposit and hall the vacuum and the way too heavy collection tank up the stairs and then have the stress of making sure I return the thing on time. I've already used the quick steamer several times on several different days so I think anyone can do the math with all the money I've saved. While I was not sure about the brush on the quick steamer, because it is not motorized, I was relieved to see that it still helps to gently lift the nap of the carpet. The smaller vacuum motor still had great suction power and picked up a lot of the water and cleaner delivered into the carpet. In fact the carpet has been dry in just 2 or 3 hours each time I've used it. Seeing how much dirt gets overlooked by regular vacuuming has shocked me into steam cleaning the carpet more. Yeah, I'd love to have a motorized brush, a big 12 amp motor, and a built in water heater, but this thing is picking up plenty of dirt and hair out of our carpet. It's light weight and there anytime I need it. Meanwhile the carpet is getting cleaner and cleaner. If it were to fail tomorrow, It still would have paid for itself. We have the bissell spot bot pet and it is great for little spills and accidents, but the quick steamer is also good for when you need to clean the bigger high traffic areas.

"Great product for the money ! ! !"
This Supposedly re-manufactured product came with full quart of cleaning solution which did carpet cleaning perfectly the way it is suppose to. I am very satisfied with this product.

"Gets the job done, OMG!"
When I first opened the package, it does not look like it will gets the job done. Surprisingly, ir does, but you will have to baby seat the cleaning tank as it is small and you will lose cleaning solution in no time. The cleaning brush does not move, so you have to the extra work. In the end, I am happy with my purchase, thanks to Amazon for bringing us such nice offerings for budget price.

"Disappointed"
I read almost all of the reviews for this product before I decided to purchase it. As most of the comments were positive, I felt fairly certain that this was the carpet cleaner I has been looking for. Unfortunately, I was wrong.

The assembly was quick & easy and this Bissell IS very light and easy to move. However, the cleaning capabilities left much to be desired. The main areas that I was hoping to use this on was my entranceway from the front door and the carpet leading into the kitchen. However, after dozens of passes over those areas I could see less-than-stellar results. Yes, the water did come out dirty and Yes, it did remove dirt. However, you would get much better results from renting a Rug Doctor. The carpet in my apartment is only six months old, and people generally take off their shoes when they come inside. Due to same, I think that the level of dirt is pretty standard...I was not hoping to get out years of grime.

I was so determined to LIKE this machine that I even resorted to pouring a cup of cranberry juice on my carpet and then let it soak for five (agonizing) minutes before using the Bissell. It did suck up all of the liquid with no problem, and the carpet looked "pretty much" as it did pre-cranberry juice test. So...for recent stains it works. For anything else, though, I would keep looking.

I got this on special for $29.99 with free S&H and although I did not return it, I would not pay that much again.

"not a good product"
it lost suction after couple of uses and even its not able to suck the dust.

What our customer's say!

"Value for money", Good for basic household carpet cleaning. Easy to handle and operate. Removes dirt , but not deep stains.

"cheap, doesn't do a whole lot", got this hoping it would really clean the carpet, but it is clear it doesn't do much. we need to have a professional to come and take care of the really hard stains. it does come back with some pretty dirty water so I know it picking up something. no problem buying remanufactured. fast shipping as always. if had to do it over, would skip this product.

"useless", tried to get a stain up with it. wound up getting out my Hoover carpet cleaning spray and getting down on my hands and knees like normal. Then it came right up.

"Great Cleaner", When I bought this, I thought it was going to have rotary brushes and in all honesty thought there was going to be a lot more to it than there was. When I received it and assembled it, I was a bit crestfallen that it was so... simple. Then I bucked up and used it.

I was genuinely amazed that it worked so well! I mean, it's not a one pass solution power cleaner, but it will totally dig out some dirt. I have cats with Urinary Tract problems and bladder troubles ( Manx Cats with no tails which can result in nerve damage ) so my carpets are a little rough. This thing is pulling it all out so much better than I thought it would. If I had this when I first moved in and used it on a more regular basis I can't even imagine what a HUGE money-saver it would be, but I have it now and I'm pretty happy about that.

It cleans VERY easy, and I've been using Vinegar and Lemon Juice with the regular solution as an additive to help remove pet odor stains and it's doing a pretty fantastic job, quick to get started and to clean up.

If you live in an Apartment with Carpets, this is a must have home item.

"Great deal!!", The product is excellent and we cleaned our entire living room in an hour. The results were great and the carpets look so much better!

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Great Product for Unbeatable Price!", I received this product about 4 months ago and used it to clean all of my carpet (about 900 square feet) in one day. This product pulled up pet stains, drink stains, and rust stains really well. We bought our house in March, stained carpets and all. We didn't get around to purchasing this product until September, after our puppy had his way with the carpets and we discovered that we wouldn't be replacing them as quickly as we had hoped. After sitting for an incredebly long time, this steamer still managed to pull up most of the stains. I would have paid twice the amount to have professionals come out to do my carpets! Great Product for a fantastic price!

"Great little workhorse", I had wanted something more portable than my Big Green Clean Machine to clean those high traffic areas in our home. The Bissell 1970R is lightweight and I was surprised at how well it cleaned our carpets. It's so simple to use. I definitely would recommend it.

"You get what you pay for.", It doesn't do much, but since it only cost $30 with free shipping, I didn't expect much. It didn't clean anything but the very loosest and most recent dust off the carpet, but thus far (fingers crossed after reading past reviews) it IS extracting water pretty well. I'm still confused as to how they got away with putting the word "Steamer" in the product name. It most certainly does NOT steam. What it does do is take hot tap water and spray it on the carpet. It was a snap to put together since it only involved the handle and three screws, and the directions were fairly well written. The collection reservoir has a small, odd square opening in the back for pouring out the extracted water. It's in an awkward place on the back of the reservoir and has made a small mess each time I've emptied it.

I think the best use might be to use this in place of a damp mop with a canned "heavy traffic area" product.

"Remanufactured Bbissell", The Bissell I bought only turned on one time and then quit. I had to return. But Amazon was very gracious and paid for the return.

"swift and efficient", i bought unit refurbished. I did a quickie clean just to get familiar with the unit and it did a great job. It has good power and picks up well. The porportion of water picked up was nearly same as discharged--meaning the carpet is'nt left wet. It's light and manueuverable. Changing water solution tank and emptying dirty water is a snap. It's a downscaled from the bigger commercial size units but cleans just as well. It suits my needs perfectly.
