"A GREAT coffee maker" Hamilton Beach 47454 BrewStation Deluxe 12-Cup CoffeemakerThis is a great product. The carafe keeps the coffee hot a lot longer than a regular pot and it doesn't have a warming burner. "I miss it" This was the absolute best coffee maker I've ever owned - until the carafe shattered. I searched for a replacement carafe, but they were either impossible to find or cost as much as an entire new machine. I recently picked up a Cuisinart Grind and Brew for double the price, and there is just no contest - I want my Hamilton Beach Stay or Go back. "Has worked great for me !!!" I've been using this coffee maker for about 2 years or so and has functioned flawlessly. The carafe is truly exceptional as it keeps coffee hot all day long. I often brew a pot before breakfast and only have a cup or two, then another cup or two after dinner. Works quite well. The coffee quality is good. I grind the coffee beans just prior to brewing (Green Mountain) and appreciate a good coffee, but certainly no connoisseur (obviously since I drink 8+ hrs old coffee). If you're looking for just a regular coffee maker I have no problem recommending this one. "Excellent coffee maker" This coffee maker lives up to the other positive reviews and makes an excellent cup of coffee which stays warm for hours. "Great coffeemaker!" This coffeemaker brews really fast and makes great tasting coffee---faster and better than many more expensive coffee makers that we've had previously. Thermal carafe is glass lined with a large opening so it's really easy to clean---much easier than most stainless steel carafes. And it keeps coffee hotter for much longer than most stainless steel carafes. I would have given this a 5-star rating except for 2 things: 1) The water filter is is option that needs to be purchased separately. I previously owned one of these and if you have hard water the filter is well worth making the purchase ($8.99 on the Hamilton Beach website) or upgrading to one of the more expensive models. 2) Questionable reliability. Our previous one lasted only 15 months. We use our coffeemakers a lot so we don't expect a really long life but 2-3 years has been the norm. We're hoping our first one was a fluke---if it happens with this one, we'll need to purchase something different.

Todays Concept offers this stuff with condition New, new for:
What our customer's say! "awesome!", I love this coffee maker! The glass insulated carafe keeps the coffee hot for hours--all day, in fact! I accidentally broke the glass inside of the carafe so I bought the newer model. BIG MISTAKE!!!The newer model has a stainless steel inside, not glass. It does not keep coffee hot for very long! If anyone knows where I can get a new carafe for the older model, do tell! "so far, so good!", I am overall very pleased with this coffee maker, and would buy it again based on initial observations. Once I put the new machine through its initial requisite three cycles for cleaning, I made my first pot of coffee using Melita No. 4 paper filter and increasing the coffee measurements about 25% because it looked light to me. The brew was good and fast, but I think I would increase the grounds by 1/2 to get the depth of color and aroma I want. Also, if one were to use a finer ground of coffee, (mine was regular grind) the brew would probably be darker. Everything on the machine works the way the directions say, it is a great buy at the price, and I am happy with the small footprint and short height under the cabinet. Also it emits minimal steam from the top, so this is a nice plus. Lastly, the complaints about having to "pre-heat" the carafe before brewing to make the coffee stay hot are silly; you have to wash the carafe between uses anyway, just leave it until right before you brew again - use really hot rinse water and you are good to go. Like other reviewers, my only complaints are fairly minor: the clock has no light and isn't visible in low light; the base upon which the carafe sits is rather slippery, hard to seat the carafe neatly; the travel mugs have lids that don't fully close - the drinking slot stays open all the time, making it easier to spill, and cools off faster; the coffee maker requires filters, none are included, have to get them; the interior of the carafe is a glass thermos, and therefore breakable. [Knowing my husband, I'm immediately looking for a replacement carafe for when it breaks.] I am wishing the travel mugs were more tightly-closable, and that the carafe were virtually unbreakable - stainless steel. Otherwise a great, inexpensive machine that works terrific right out of the box. It would be interesting to see if the "steel carafe" model of the same coffee maker is all steel or if it is also a glass-thermos interior. I am shopping around for a similar shaped all steel carafe. Anyone know of any? "PERFECT!", This is a great product! I love the option of making coffee in the to-go mugs or in the carafe. The carafe is low maintenance, easy to clean and pours without any spills. Making coffee has never been so clean and efficient. "great except for small caraf", I have had this same pot with the stainless caraf and it keeps the coffee hot for hours on end. My only complaint is the little 8C caraf "Convenient, but messy", Coffee quality is fine. The "go" cups can be very convenient. However, the base of the machine, where the carafe sits, is very slick with no indentations to help you seat the carafe properly. If the carafe is even slightly out of place, coffee will go EVERYWHERE. I've cleaned up after this thing more times than I can count. The top of the carafe is also poorly designed for pouring, and drips and spills a great deal. I wouldn't buy this product again. ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "Could be MUCH better", Simple enough design & controls to program. Base for carafe is very slick with no impressions/detents to hold it in place. Worked fine for about 3 months, then would intermittently not feed water either manually or via timed operation for brewing. Very disappointing. "Perfect, save a few quibles", Originally bought one of these for my mother after her beloved Mr. Coffee finally went to its' maker. After reading many reviews, I felt fairly confident purchasing it for her. She makes a pot in the morning, and has a cup or two before work. With the thermos, the same pot is still plenty hot when she comes home from work and, she claims, as good as the first cup. Well, I got deployed to a warm and sandy place (I'm Army, guess where), and decided to get a new maker to replace the piece of cr*p the previous tenants were using, and ordered the #45224 for myself and my crew. It arrived promptly, considering (thank you Amazon!) and was soon pressed into heavy duty service. Thought the thermos would be useful, but frankly, a pot of coffee doesn't stay full for long here. But so far it's performed like a champ, making 8 to 10 pots a day. We use bottled water exclusively, so didn't bother with the filter. Our only quibbles are there's no way to tell if the thermos is empty till you pour that last drop. Also, the brew light is fairly dim, and unless the pot is directly in front of you, difficult to see under florescent lighting. However, everything else about the machine is excellent. I'd write a nice review on the included mugs, but the CG took a shine to one of them and it's now in his office, and I couldn't even begin to guess where the other one went (things that are good tend to "get legs" around here). I will be buying this maker again in the future. "Awesome Coffee Maker", This is the BEST coffee maker I've ever owned. The pot keeps the water warm ALL day. I was amazed. There's a changeable filter that makes the water taste funny the first few times, but it ends up getting better after the 2 to 3d use. I haven't used the cups yet because I'm so pleased with the carafe's performance. I'm sure they will be equally as good. The programming feature is a time saver if your husband remembers to turn it on that is. :) Anyway, this thing is great and I would recommend it to anyone! ![]() |
