"Hamilton Beach Can opener"
This can opener is made by Hamilton Beach, a reliable maker of small home appliances. Their electric can opener opens short and tall cans with ease and precision. So far, no rough edges to worry about. It comes in black and looks great on the counter top. The price is excellent at under $15.00. This product lives up to its name as the Open Ease can opener. Great product; excellent manufacturer.

"R E L I A B I L I T Y............P L U S !"
I don't know if this is the same can-opener I have -- because, even
though it looks exactly the same, no mention is made of a bottle-opener
in the back, (or maybe I just didn't read the editorial reviews carefully
enough.)

At any rate, this is one great can-opener! No fussing -- this can opener will ease your can to the right spot for opening immediately. The blade comes off for cleaning, and is easy to re-insert. The height of this can-opener allows it to open over-sized cans with ease, as well.

This can-opener has a bonus of being shaped somewhat like an old, cathedral-type radio.....which can bring back happy memories to even baby-boomers like myself, who have only seen a cathedral radio at our grand-parents' home. For those in older generations, it's quite a delightful little minature cathedral radio mock-up, to bring back even more happy memories! There is no dial, of course, and no speakers -- for this is a can-opener, not really a radio, don't forget. But it truly opens cans with ease and aplomb....leaving more time to do leisurely things like explore the interent, watch DVDs....and, oh yes, listen to the radio!

"Great opener"
I have had this can opener for several years and use it multiple times daily. Easy to clean and has never failed. A good value!

What our customer's say!

"convenient", Opens tall and short cans with ease. A little tough to get the can locked in initially, but it may be due to my rheumatoid arthritis, which is the reason I bought this instead of using a hand held opener. Overall, it does quick work of getting the cans opened and the knife sharpener in the back is handy thing to have!

"It's a can opener, what more do you want?", Recently purchased this model to replace the same thing that had seen numerous years of use.

Another poster expressed concern about the extension that holds the magnet is a bit flimsy. On my old can opener this did get broken when the can opener fell off/got knocked off the counter. Under the circumstances, it would be hard to expect it to not break!

Forget about the bottle opener and "sharpener" function. It's a can opener and that is what it does very well.

"Good product at a good price!!!", I recently bought this opener to replace an old one. I am impressed with its sleek design.....the picture shown is exactly what I received.
My only complaint would be that the magnetic lever seems too delicate and I am hoping it is stronger than it looks. Also a personal preference would have been to have the bottle opener at the front.

"do not buy", Do not by any Hamilton Beach Opener. They have a faw in design and will fail to cut after some use. I tried working with company, I have done everything they've asked, including mailing in item and cost of shipping, but they will not refund or replace.

Try another brand.

"Great for everyday can opening duties", We've owned this for a couple of years and while I'm not a big fan of electric openers, this one does alright. My major fear is always that the whole contraption is going to fall over. For that reason, I never use it for anything larger than a standard size soup can. In spite of my paranoia, we've never had a spill.

My only complaint would be that the cutting assembly is a little difficult to clean, hence the fours stars instead of five.
