"Great Features, Poor Quality" I purchased this timer about three weeks ago, and have used it regularly since then. The features behave as advertised, and I found it easy to use and perfectly suited for kitchen use. Unfortunately, it completely stopped working yesterday, and is now a $15 piece of trash. My advice: try to find a higher quality product. I'm going to. "Piece of Junk" This alarm is just a piece of junk. I never bought something so bad these couple years. Audible alarm do not work Light do not work Vibrate do not work I ordered the replacement and it also didn't work. So I returned both of them. Very dissapointed. "Was defective.." This would have been fine, but the one I received was defective and the digital display was all jarbled. I returned it and got a full refund so it's alright but annoying. "GREAT timer" After having an OXO timer with buttons that were squishy, wobbly and difficult to press, I began my quest for a new timer. This time, I read Amazon reviews. I purchased this timer and it's TERRIFIC!! It fits great in your hand, clips on to clothing and stands up on the counter very sturdily. You can set it for hours/minutes or minutes/seconds. It has an illuminating alarm option that's very cool. It also vibrates but I haven't used that function yet. The alarm is all I need. I was a little concerned that the timer didn't have actual numbers to press but when you hold down the hour, minute or second button, it moves through the numbers very quickly so you can set your time in a flash. I highly recommend this timer! "Good purchase" A very nice little timer with multiple options at a good price. Good for meditation, work outs, etc.

What our customer's say! "Excellent Purchase", I bought this for my 5-yr old daughter to help with her homework that she needs to finish within a certain time. Now we also use it to help with the last 15 min of getting ready to get out of home, and using this timer is a lot better than me constantly reminding her to "hurry up, or you'll be late!". In fact it helps the grown-ups in the family too. Instead of just promising ourselves that we will do 5 more minutes of email before we get up and get ready, we just set the timer. Great price too! "Polder Timer", This is an excellent little timer that does exactly what it is supposed to do. It is simple to use and has given me no problems. I especially like the fact that it can be set for more than one hour. "First one didn't work, replacement is great", The first timer I received must have gotten damaged in shipping -- didn't work at all. I was very impressed by Amazon's customer service, however, which sent a replacement that came the next day. The replacement timer works fine, and is just as convenient as I'd hoped. I really needed a vibrating timer for times when someone else is sleeping in the room where I'm working -- and this one is very easy to use. The fate of the first unit means this product is probably pretty fragile -- probably wouldn't withstand being dropped -- but that's the only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5. "Made this purchase based on the reviews", and, I have to say, they were absolutely correct. I wasn't sure this was the timer I wanted but everyone's opinions were so positive. It is so easy to use and far more accurate than my old egg timer with bell. Since it is so lightweight, compact and portable, I find I use it far more frequently. One of my better purchases. "Plenty loud", I work in audio recording where I need to turn things off at the precise moment. The timer is loud enough if you place it on a table and put it on sound and vibrate. The vibrate is louder than the sound if it can rattle on a hard surface. I can also carry it on my belt if need be. 
Read this reviews before You buy... "It doesn't work - Don't buy it", The timer will keep time but the alarm (audible or Vibrate) does not work at all...so it's useless to me. The reason I purchased this one is because it would sound an alarm. "Great timer!", This timer does it all: vibrate, silent flash, and alarm. Couldn't be more convenient and even has a magnet on the back to stick on your fridge. "Pure junk", Count down timer worked. Audible alarms do not work. Light does not work. Vibration does not work. This is one piece of junk. Imagine reading about all these features that you need and then getting it and the only thing that works is a count down to zero from hrs/mins/secs that you can set. Pure garbage. "Great timer", Functional, very easy to use. Counts up and down. 3 different ways to be alerted that time's up: it vibrates, it beeps, and it lights up. What more could you ask for. "Good Timer, Good Customer Service", As all the other reviews suggest, this is a nice, compact, versatile timer. I bought two of them a year ago, and recently, one stopped working. I put new batteries in it, and still it would not work -- it emitted a very very faint alarm, that is all. I contacted the manufacturer, Polder, and a representative determined that it was defective. At first, it was unclear whether they would replace it, since I bought it from amazon and not directly from them. I mentioned that I'd write a good review for the product on amazon if they stood by their product, and a not-so-good review if they did not. From that point forward, the company was very responsive indeed! My replacement came in the mail today. So ... all is well that ends well -- especially when amazon helps us to have a little leverage! |
