Others say...

"won't last"
This scrubber is made of wood. I have had it for less then a month. And have only used it about half a dozen times and the wood on the bristle part is already spliting apart. I don't see this lasting more then another month before it splits completely apart. I would not suggest buying this item.

"A must-have for cast-iron pots"
We recently switched to cast-iron cookware and didn't know how to clean it. We got two of these and they really seem to do the trick. The bristles are stiff and great for scrubbing off food and grease, and the handle is long enough so that you don't bash your knuckles on the pot while you're cleaning it. Definitely a must-have!

"Bristles fell out a week after receipt..but Lodge sent me a new one."
Not a bad brush, but some of the plastic bristles fell out about a week after using it. On the plus side I called Lodge and they were nice about it and sent me out a new one.

"Lodge Scrubber"
This brush cleans my Lodge cast iron fry pan with ease. The stiff bristles remove every bit of food. Would highly recommend.

"Very Poor Quality"
I usually love Lodge products, of which I have alot. This is cheap and fell apart on the first use. Brush not stiff enough anyway. Do not buy.

Regards, Mel

What our customer's say!

"why bother?", Just use a medium or firm bristle potato (palm) brush. Cleans Iron Pans (and woks) quickly because your energy is directly put onto the surface of the pan. Big plus... A potato brush cleans in seconds under the faucet-- no special care -- or you can put it in the dishwasher if its really dirty!Clipper Mill Potato Brush / Cleaner

"what a shame", I love Lodge products. I have 6 pieces in my collection. This piece misses the mark. Yes it is the perfect design to clean cast iron but quality is not a term you can reserve for this piece. I read several reveiws before buying and felt that the users were probably more the problem than the product. Well sorry to say that is the wrong conclusion. It fell apart on the first use. The head pulled out of the handle. Once it dried I put it back together with some epoxy that doesn't work either the wood swells so much the epoxy won't maintain a bond. The bristles are too soft and after less than a dozen uses they look like a worn out toothbrush and they stained to boot. Now the head is beginning to crack. Lodge could fix this brush easily. The price would go up some but at least the product would last long enough to get your moneys worth. A little resin impregnated wood to fix the unstable nature of the wood they are currently are using and a better bristle and this brush could last several years rather than the several months this one did. The ergonomics are great just the quality stinks especially when I have found an all plastic version very similiar to it for half the price that lasts a good 6 months. Oh by the way for those who think that it is the user at fault here. I have only exposed the brush to the water that it takes to clean the pan I'm cleaning and after using I wash out the bristles with a little dishwashing soap and hang up to air dry.

"Cheaply Made and Falls Appart", Unlike the excellent Lodge Logic ironware, this is a complete piece of junk. If you apply any pressure, the brush head disengages from the wooden shaft. That's because it's just pressed in and not glued. I made the mistake of buying two of these. That kind-of worked out since my first one melted because my wok was too hot -- Didn't see that coming but it actually worked better once it was melted -- Go figure!

"Buy another brush", On using the brush for the second time. The whole head popped right off! Can't go back on because it's cracked where the metal part that holds the head on connects with the handle. Definitely wouldn't recommend!

"Works great!", Glad I purchased it. Perfect shape to clean my Lodge skillets & Dutch ovens. The bristles are a little softer than I thought, but still does a stand up job.

"It works well but falls apart easily.", This brush cleans just about anything but try to keep it from soaking in water to prevent the craking and drying of the wood.

"A great kitchen helper gadget!", I do cook and bake with cast iron and sometimes food does stick and requires some extra effort to scrub off. This little scrubber brush is a great help. Treat it kindly-don't put in the dishwasher or let soak a long time in soapy water and it will hold up well.

"Finally!", I have used cast iron cookware in the past, but I've always had trouble washing it afterward. So many foods will leave a mess behind, and the last thing you want to do is to use a scouring pad: the non-stick qualities of your seasoned pan would be ruined. I'd used a nylon brush I purchased from a local store, and it didn't work very well. Not only was it hard to hold, the bristles weren't very rigid. This Lodge scrubber brush is ideal for cleaning cast iron. It is easy to hold (I have mild arthritis, and it doesn't cause problems for me), and it works great. My cast iron pans see a lot more use now just because of this great product. I highly recommend it!

"Scrub-a-Dub-Dub", There is not a lot to say. These are very nice brushes. They are well contructed, and they do an excellent job cleaning my cast iron pan. We need to replace them about once a year, but they are inexpensive, and well worth it.

"A little stiffer, please!", Talking about the Lodge Cast Iron Scrubber Brush, of course. For some stuff that cakes onto my new skillet, I could use a brush with stiffer bristles. I end up using my fingernails.
