Others say...
"Poor design" There is nothing easy about using this product. The sticks which came with our set were much smaller than the slot for them, so they float up out of the slots at strange angles. You have to let the icepops partially freeze (about 1/2 hour), then remeber to jam the sticks in. Also, the only way to get the pops out is to run hot water on the mold, which defeats the purpose of having a nice icy pop. There must be a better product out there. "Not a good design" It's really a lot easier to make pops if we use individual molds. The fact that these share a bottom makes it hard to get out just one or two pops at once. I recommend Tovolo or Cuisipro popsicle molds because they are stand-alone. "Popsicle Maker" Works well - but picture is a bit deceiving. This tray makes the larger popsicles NOT the type that can be easily broken into (2) popsicles. (Like the ones you buy in a store) "Not the best" I bought 3 different popsicle making sets to have some fun and make some healthy treats. This one is my least favorite of the three by a long shot. It doesn't come complete apart so to get a popsicle out you have to soak the whole thing in water. Then it is wet and you must dry it before putting it back in your freezer... unless you would like it frozen to your freezer, of course. Also, the lid was a pain to get off. The first time I just ran it under water and that helped a bit (still wasn't as easy as I'd like for the little ones), but it's better just not to use the lid at all. Freeze the pops partially, then insert the sticks. I was most greatly disappointed that I can't take it completely apart though, that's the worst part. "Excellent" I love this product, I already had one and purchased this as my second. It's a well made prodcut, no complaints at all.

What our customer's say! "Get this popsicle out of here!!!!", With really small, tight holes, what seems like a fun and simple product turns into a complicated nightmare. This is not for use with regular popsicle sticks. Now I have to find some skinny designer sticks so that I can keep using this product? Lame. "Yum!", If you soak the sticks in water for about an hour before you use them, they won't float up or expand...making it easier to get them out of the tray after the popsicles are frozen. Enjoy!! "Works very well, read reviews for helpful hints", I read all of the reviews before I bought this and I think the negative ones are really overdone. Yes, you should not fill the juice to the top, because it will expand a little when it freezes and maybe stick to the top. I think the best way to manage the sticks is to let the juice or whatever you are making freeze for an hour or so and then put the sticks in because in liquid they will just pop back up, there is no way to defy wood from wanting to float. You could I suppose not even use the top at all in that case, but you might as well, you bought it didn't you. Freezing alcholic beverages by the way doesn't work so well, it doesn't freeze solid and margarita sticks seemed like such a great idea. Ok, so don't fill it all the way to the top and put the sticks in a little later, the inconvenience is really minor considering all things. Then they just pop right out. "great product", I purchased this product after reading the previous reviews, not sure how well they would work. I absolutely love them. There are a couple minor issues when using them, but they are common sense things. You do have to submerge them in hot water to get the popsicle to come out of the mold and sometimes the sticks don't move as smoothly thru the top as you would like. But all in all they worked great. Would buy them again and have suggested them to friends who asked where I got mine. "Don't buy it.", We got this because my husband though that it would work in spite of some of the negative reviews. The popsicle sticks have to be perfectly straight or you can't get the lid off - and the sticks move and pop up while the liquid is thawed. WE tried once and are ready to throw it away. It was a total waste of money. ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "Great Product", The ice pop maker is a sturdy product, well made and easy to use. The top is a little tricky to pull off from the sticks after the pops are frozen so instead I let the pops freeze without the cover until the sticks can be inserted. The top then really isn't necessary. I've made lots of flavors by blending instant pudding mix with milk and adding chocolate chips, chunks of cereal or packaged crumb crusts as I pour the mixture into the molds. A few hours later I run hot water over the plastic to unmold. Wrap the pops in waxed paper and place in a zip lock freezer bag to store in the freezer. Try combinations using flavored syrups for coffee drinks. "Great product", We have only made popsicles once with this so far but they were great. Just remember not to shove the sticks all the way to the bottom of the mold like I did :-) "I don't know what the others are complaining about...", ...The popsicles come out pretty easily if you run the molds and top quickly under warm water, then squeeze the molds to loosen, and they pull right out! Just remember to not fill the molds completely to the top as to avoid the popsicle expanding and sticking to the lid when freezing. I love how this set has 10 molds! "Can't get the popsicle out of the container", I was really looking forward to this product. After attempting to use it to make pudding pops, icecream pops, koolaide pops, etc, I have finally decided that they don't work. The popsickle does not come out of the plastic container. I called the company that makes them and they did not have any suggestion as to how to make these work. They told me to return them to the company that I bought them from. Well, my husband threw away all the information because he was frustrated so now I have these plastic things that are worthless. I don't recommend these to anyone. If the company would like to contact me and do the honest thing and let me know either now to make them work or how I can get my money back, it would be nice. I am sure this won't happen. I guess this is the way you learn your lessons the hard way in this world. What a rip off! "NOT EASY USE", Once they are frozen, it is a fight to get them out without wetting the container, and then what does one do with them after they are all loose? AND, if you try to leave them in the container to refreeze after you take out the one you wanted, then just try to get that stupid top back on ...Grrrrr! And if you do manage to get it on, it falls off anyway! Grrrrrr.. ![]() |
