"Never say NEVER" I have had this hose about 2 months and it kinks! One kink is so bad that the water barely comes out. Sort of like when you fold the hose to temporarily stop it...except mine is permanent. I have tried everything to straighten it out...No luck. And this hose is barely used because I have auto sprinklers. Just use it to wash down the patio every now and then. Like someone else said, if it was not such a hassle, I would return it. Not much of a guarantee in that case. Cannot recommend this product. "NEVER IS A LONG,LONG TIME" I'm not to sure what to think about a company that would name a product, "NEVER KINK" and have it do nothing but kink. The only time it didn't kink was the 15 mile ride in the back of my truck as I was bringing it back home from Lowes. I have stretched it out the entire 100', let it sit in 100 degree + sun for hours only to have it kink at least 5 places on the hose when I unwound it. It's going back to Lowes tomorrow. "need heat" This hose comes tightly wrapped in a container. Until the hose is completely unraveled and subjected to summer heat it is not very flexible and does kink. Afterward it is less subject to kinking. Neverkink is a misnomer. "apex neverkink hose" This hose kinked the first time I tried to use it... If returning it weren't such a hassle, it would go back... "Apex NeverKink 2000 5/8-Inch-by-100-Foot Heavy Duty Ultra Flexible Hose #8605-100" I am sorry to say that this item kinks up more than a rattlesnake trying to get away from a coyote. After many years of using premium, life-time guaranteed rubber hoses from a huge retail company, I decided that I was tired of the black marks that were left on my concrete and bricks. I was aldo tired of the hoses kinking - no matter how I used them. Walla, I saw this and decided to try it. It does not leave black marks. That is good. Howver, it is very stiff and it kinks every bit as much as my premium rubber hoses. I do not recommend this item.

What our customer's say! "Not too bad", This is one of the better hoses I used thru the years. It does kink occasionally, but much less than others I've tried (that's why I gave it a 4, not a 5.) It seems to me that there is no such thing as a hose that never kinks - but if it only kinks 2-3 times each time it's used rather than several times each time it's used - that's about as good as you can expect in this price range. I've also found what helps eliminate kinks is if the hose is stored on a hose reel after each use - this made a dramatic difference in the less expensive hose I had to use this past summer. "Uh...It KINKS! WTF?", Paid the extra bank for a hose that says it doesn't kink and it kinks. Other than that it performs as well as any other good quality normal hose. Maybe it should be called "IMAGOODHOSEBUTISTILLKINK". "defective after 3 uses", I just bought the darned hose and after the 3rd use, I noticed a section of the hose expanded to 3x the diameter--the thing is ready to blow already! KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS--either for return or to make use of the lifetime warranty. also keep the cardboard product insert as you will need this for warranty purposes. Buy this local as I think this hose is made cheaply and they do not count on you keeping the packaging or your receipt! "CHEAP HOSE with NO redeeming features .. KINKS and CHEAP ", The hoses branded NEVERKINK are cheap hoses which are poorly made and use the same materials as the cheap ones sold at Wally World and the Orange Box Stores. Buy a hose on sale and save money or look elsewhere for a true high quality hose. "garden hose for no crank hose reel", Got this hose to go in the Apex No-crank hose reel. Product is of good quality and works great in the hose heel. Hose has a good size rubber stop on the end to prevent hose retracting too far. Like the whole conbination of reel and hose so bought two more. LOVE not having to wind up the hose, just set the reel to auto and it winds itself. perfect if you don't want or can't wind a heavy hose yourself. 
Read this reviews before You buy... "NeverKink Hose", So far, this hose is fine (and 100 ft. is better than connecting 2-50 ft. hoses)! However, it is heavy to drag around the garden once it is filled with water. "Great hose", This is as promised. Even at 100', it's easy to handle & really doesn't kink. What's not to like? "Apex JustOneKink", I just used it for the first time today and it seems to be a good quality hose, but ironically, my NeverKink hose had a kink in it - right at the output end of it, the end *without* the black plastic cover - right out of the box before I even removed the packaging. Because of the hose's weight and because it still works, it's not worth shipping it back, but I'd never expect a hose called the NeverKink to arrive pre-kinked. Just a bit disappointed. "Kinky in Summer - Stiff in Winter", I've had this hose through summer 2007. It frequently kinks, it's heavy and difficult to straighten...and, coiling it is a real wrestling match...with the hose often "winning". Now that it's getting cold, the hose has stiffened to the point that I cannot put it on our hose reel. My Wife struggled with it for 30-minutes the other day, just to untangle it and make 3-foot coils on our front yard. When I find a new, better hose...I may GIVE this one away to someone I really dislike. "nice product", i've only used it a couple of times, but the hose is of good quality and has not kinked on me yet. You will want to buy the nozzle attachment as well. |
