"perfect for singles", This little set is perfect for those who live alone or live with another person. I don't need a lot of different kinds of pots and pans. I live alone in a small apartment and my kitchen is very small. The less I have, the better. This starter set is the perfect size. I can cook just about anything with these.

"Excellent Set - But Wait for the Sale", I purchased this set about 7 months ago when it sold for $62.99. So my first bit of advice is to wait for a sale.

Many glowing reviews on this set. The Cuisinart Chef's Classic line is very affordable, and well regarded for the price (there was a review in CooksIllustrated). Handles are very comfortable. And if the pots/pans become discolored by heat, just use BKF (Bar Keeper's Friend) to make them look new again.

To round out the set, get a 2-quart saucepan and a 12" skillet... TJ Max/Marshalls has great prices on open stock.

"Great set, but the skillet sticks a bit", I love this set, the stockpot is just great for soups and stews and when you have to make large amounts of mashed potatoes or pastas. I also love the sauce pan to make sauces and such in. My only negative is the skillet. It just sticks a bit much for me. I use my non-sticks instead for frying. Other than that I consider this a great set.



"pretty n efficient", this seemed like such a deal, i couldn't pass it up. i'm sooo glad i didn't. they are shiny, and purrty, and i didn't think they would work as well as they looked. Alas, they do!

Conducts heat very well, and has just enough weight to be balanced on my gas stovetop. the handles don't get hot, so i am able to drain pasta, pour off broth, etc without the 'heat grimace' or the pre-blessing on my pot-holder's heat resistance. I'm very happy with these, and i would get them for everyone i know if i could financially do so. ;)

"I LOVE my Cuisinart Cookware!!", This item doesn't need another positive review, but I'm writing one because I'm crazy about this cookware! It's simply the best stainless steel cookware for the price. It has the beautiful appearance and superior performance of All Clad, but you won't have to take out a home-equity loan to buy it. Amazon has the best prices I've seen for the Cuisinart sets and with free shipping, you can't go wrong.

I've had my Cuisinart set for a month now, and it continues to please me every time I use it. It conducts heat so well that low heat is all that's needed. It's easy to clean. I love that the pieces are oven safe to 550 degrees. A saute pan can be put in the oven; then, you can serve from the same beautiful pan.

The 5 Piece Starter Set includes the most-used pieces, and is a good beginning for your Cuisinart collection. The lid to the stockpot fits the skillet, too. I did order a 2 quart saucepan, because that seemed to be the only essential piece missing. This is "forever cookware", and I'm looking forward to adding pieces over time.

Because Cuisinart pans are oven-safe, the handles and lids are not "cushioned" and can get hot. Just develop the habit of using a pot holder when grabbing a pan or lid.

This set would make a nice wedding or housewarming gift. But buy a set for yourself first - I promise you will love it!

"Wonderful set at a great price", I just ordered this set to replace my teflon coated set I got as a wedding gift (also cuisinart - which I loved but being teflon had reached the end of their life). First kodos to Amazon for both price and shipping. I did the free shipping and got the set the next day (ordered on Dec 21). That same day I was putting them to good use. I made scrambled eggs in the omelette pan. Nice even heat and it cleaned up just as easy as the non-stick pans I've used before. I made spaghetti sauce in the sauce pan. A huge pot of spaghetti in the pot and the handles actually stayed cool enough to lift and drain without needing a towel (the handles in general are a nice shape and feel good in your hand). The next day I made pecan pie filling using the sauce pan (so basically like making candy) and it heated evenly. I even left the sugar mixture uncleaned in the pan while busy with other Christmas prep and it still cleaned up easily. All and all in my first test run everything has performed beautifully.

I love the weight and size of these pans. They have nice heavy bottoms for even heating but aren't clad all the way up the sides so you can actually lift them when full. Some of the other brands are impossible for me to lift and drain spaghetti on my own which renders them useless in my mind. These may not be fancy but are perfect for the every day cooker trying to get meals on the table for the family.

As for the pieces in this set itself they really do make a great starter and the bare bones of what you need to set up your kitchen. I don't like the huge sets since I prefer to add in some speciality pans (I have some copper and cast iron) and see no need to have a huge set of matching pans cluttering my limited cabinet space.

At this price you will not be disappointed.

"When Can I get that good price?", Question to customer service: (don't know if there is any otherway to contact customer service) I wonder when Amazon will give that good price again. I wanted to buy and thought I might missed the good price. Should I wait or Amazon will adjust my price if I buy now and they reduce price later?
