"Kitchenaide 9 cup processor"
I originally purchased a 7 cup processor without doing much research on it. It only came with one reversible blade. I took that back and bought this one. It was marked down (by almost half) because the box had a mark on it. Big deal. The processor has been awesome. I have used both the main bowl for salsa and the mini bowl for stir fry. I couldn't be happier with this processor.

"Kitchenaid Food Processor"
We saw this 9-cup food processor in a Dept store for $168.00 (not including 7% sales tax). My wife saw some of the TV chefs using the prosessor, and they highly recommended it. I got it through Amazon for $30 less, no tax, and it was delivered FedEx to our front steps within 4 days of placing the order...a full week before it was supposed to be here. The machine is excellent, and works as advertised. This is a robust, well-built machine, and I expect it to last a lifetime.

"Good ,Quite Machine for Home use."
Good Machine for home use. The bowl is a bit shallow so food may drip out of center. It chops well with just a few pluses.Doesn't liquidfy everything. I use it everyday. Easy to clean the motor is completely incased in it's housing.

"Disappointed fan"
I have long been a kitchen aid fan and am very disappointed in this processor. I have a relatively new machine with light use, but beyond warranty, and the large plastic bowl broke while chopping tomatoes. One minute it was fine, then a piece broke from the handle. Now the handle falls apart and I must hold it just so in order for the machine to work. I wouldn't call this durable. I have also been dissatisfied by the short center post that allows fluids to leak when the bowl contains just over an inch of food. Bad design! I regret having bought this appliance and do not recommend it.

"Versatile"
I love that it has two different size bowls; however, if I mix anything pourable, it leaks out through the middle hole - not much capacity.

What our customer's say!

"Good food processor", I have been pleased with the 9 cup. It's so quiet and quick. Though it is a bit heavy to drag out of the cabinet, I'm using it regularly. I was not impressed with the 3 cup insert when I tried to chop onions. The large bowl and blade work great, however.

"Kitchenaid food processor", Great!! Love it. I was afraid it would be too big to use on countertop, but it is wonderful. Chops a lot at a time or use the small bowl and chop a little.

"Food processor", It has nothing to do with Kitchen Aid, it is a good processor, but it lacks adequate cutting components so that everything comes out virtually chopped and ground. I mean there is no way to alter the coarseness or finesse of the cuts. Would not have gotten it, had I known it was like that, because I had an old Cuisinart and that was in comparison a work of art and great to use. Furthermore, the recipe book sent along by Kitchen Aid, was meager and a grim example of what I was trying to express all along.

"Quality product and fast shipping", Replacing another food processor, no comparison. Wonderful product. Shipping was fast. Love it!

"Perfect", I have only used this product twice and found it fits my needs perfectly. I would recommend it to everyone that needs to purchase a food processor.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Very short lifespan", I bought the KitchenAid 9-cup food processor KFP740 in December of 2005. I have used it carefully, kept it clean, never dropped or damaged it, and not used it all that often actually. Fourteen months after I purchased it, the large plastic bowl began to deteriorate. Little pieces started breaking off it. I wrote the company, and they said they could do nothing except tell me where to take it for repairs. Now, 20 months after I bought the food processor, it has totally died. The handle came off in my hands, and as I examined it, it crumbled into dozens of plastic pieces. The machine is completely unusable now. It looked nice and ran well as long as its cheap casing lasted--but beware if you want this to survive beyond warranty.

"OK for fine-cutting and slicing jobs", ...but doesn't do coarse chopping too well. Useful item to have in kitchen, but a bit overpriced for its functionality.

"Best processor EVER!", There is nothing like this food processor. It is heavy duty and you can tell how powerful the motor is the first time you turn it on. I was shocked, however, at how QUIET it actually is. When you feel how heavy it is, you'll think, man I bet this beast is loud....but then you turn it on and it purrs! Amazing product. I'll always buy KitchenAid from now on....no more Cuisinart for me.

"Kitchenaid KFP740 food processor", After looking through the local stores for full sized food processor and finding nothing under $175 I was very pleased to find this unit (top rated by Consumer Reports) for a very good price. Delivery time was 4 days and shipping was free. My experience with the unit is similar to the reviews I read before buying this unit. It is quiet and powerful and everything seems to fit tightly and perform as claimed. The only thing that keeps it from getting five stars in my book is that it can't hold more than about 1" of liquid without the liquid overflowing the sleeve of the processor bowl that fits over the blade drive shaft and leaking out all over everything.

"Terrific", Quiet, powerful, and easy to clean, this processor is great. Excellent value as well.
