"Love it!"
I've had this since Christmas 2007. I got this to replace my ancient LaMchine food processor, and couldn't be happier. This is real quality - not to mention heavy! It works like a charm and is amazingly quiet.

I love that the accessories come in a storage case - much easier to deal with than having to find room in a drawer for all the loose pieces. The case has slots for each accessory so the edges stay sharp.

One thing I love is the piece in the food chute with the hole in the bottom. This is excellent for adding liquids while you're processing. I used it when making pesto to add olive oil while the machine was running. It adds the oil in a nice, continuous stream, rather than dumping it in all at once.

I know there are a million other uses for it that I haven't tried, but I'll explore those before long, too!

All in all, I highly recommend!

"The right tool for serious home chef"
ATK recommends it highly, so I bought it. They are right. This is definitely a must-have tool for any serious home chef who want to elevate his/her cooking to a higher level.

At a minimum, it will make your cooking tasks so much easier.

"Excellent Food Processor"
An excellent food processor. No complaints what so ever. My wife has made several different kinds of dishes with this appliance and all have turned out great. Her Pico de Gallo rocks!

"Excellent value for the money"
This processor is a work horse. Well designed, easy to clean and quite sturdy - well balanced for large recipes. Having two different sized work bowls is wonderful! Convenient case to store attachments and blades. Love this machine and highly recommend it to those looking for a large food processor.

"Kitchenaid self-mutilating food processor"
This machine is the best one I could find and that is a sad thing. When the slicing blade is in use, the container does not fill evenly. The softest vegetables pile up in one spot when it is half full pushing the blade up which begins shaving plastic off the cover into your produce. I have about 10 jars of organic red sauce with plastic shavings that I could not detect until after canning. Also, the blade clogs easily and then the machine begins to roar and rumble and jump off the counter. When slicing several onions, be prepared to open and remove clog at least once per onion. What do the rich and famous do for a food processor these days? Surely not this. Not with a bang but with a whimper do things become obsolete before we bring them home.

What our customer's say!

"Love this Food Processor!", I had a Braun food processor that lasted me at least a decade but I always had problems with the switch and the latch that kept the bowl on the machine. By the end of it's time with me it was getting harder and harder to turn it off as well as remove the bowl from the stand. Even though it still worked, I ended up throwing it away due to frustration with having to fiddle with it every time I used it.

I decided that since I like to keep these things for a long time I wanted the best. After a lot of research I decided on the Kitchenaid 12 cup in Empire Red.

It is gorgeous to look at for starters! It is also has a very powerful and relatively quiet motor. It is really heavy and has a very solid feel. There is no vibration or rattling. It is very easy to use with three buttons: on, off and pulse. Everything on this machine feels solid and tight. I can tell already that this one will well outlast my Braun.

This is a great investment that I can tell will be in my kitchen for decades.

"Good purchase", I bought this mostly to grate carrots which it does great except for the last skinny little bits which end up between the blade and the cover. My dog gets those! I've used it once to knead dough which it did great, but may not knead a double batch very well. I look forward to trying other things with it.

"Food processor", Having never used a food processor before, I went by others' recommendations on this one. Once I got used to how the food processor works, I really like it. It comes with a case for most of the attachments, but not all. (One of the blades gets left out so I have to store it in the food processor for safety's sake). I'm having a lot of fun with this, and looking forward to learning more ways to use it. I recommend this product.

"Great!", This product is great! It works perfectly and is better than the smaller version. It shipped fast and was very well packaged. Amazon had the lowest price, plus there is a $20 rebate. This was a great buy!

"no complaints", I bought this in February and still have no complaints. It works great...there have been no problems. The step down capability to process smaller batches has been very handy. Since the construction is sturdy, I'm thinking it'll be around for many years. Yeah!

"Fast & Sturdy", I'm very pleased with this machine. It grates cheese like a dream and make a few mere minutes work of my loads of zucchini. It's important to do all things according to the instruction booklet, such as with cheeses. This is indeed not a very good machine for liquids however, as others have stated. You Can do some liquid items, just don't over fill and do expect a little drippage down the center hole of the work bowl. Otherwise, it hasn't frozen up or given me any trouble thus far. The mini-bowl is also useful for when you want to chop a little something up and/or when the bigger work bowl is already dirty and you don't want to mix flavors or wash it just yet. The accessory box is also handy for keeping things organized.

"A kitchen must", What a great handy tool. Easy to use. Well made and features easy cleanup. The 12 cup is the one to buy. Really love this indispensable kitchen appliance.

"First rate processor", This product was almost flawless. It's only fault was some dificulty in getting it's bowls to lock with ease. It required to much adjusting.

"So glad I bought this!", I had been looking at this for a long time. It is so efficient, quiet and pretty. I just love the pink! A great addition to my kitchen, while supporting breast cancer research.

"the best one yet", Works great!!!! Would be nice if it came with wide mouth stock then have to buy it
