"Kitchen Aid Processor"
This is a great food processor! We use it weekly. The only complaint is that it can be difficult to get the small bowl out without making a mess. Other than that it works really well and does a variety of jobs!

"lower price elsewhere"
returned the unit because I found the same on another web site at a much lower price.

"Well Built Food Processor"
I bought this machine a few weeks ago. The quality of the materials is excellant. The plastic parts are durable. I discovered that the parts are dishwasher safe. The machine runs extremely quiet. I observed that when the machine is in operation, it stays put, unlike the cheaper food processors, which tug and jerk at the counter. I have only used the shredding disk so far. The machine does an excellant job of completing the task. I can't wait to use the other attachments.

The appliance is heavy. A separate covered tray allows for safe & easy storage of the attachments. The instruction book contained a few recipes and suggested uses for the attachments. I would only suggest that the instruction book should be more detailed with attachment usage and contain more recipes.

I am very happy with my purchase and recommend this appliance highly.

"Love this Food Processor!"
I had a Braun food processor that lasted me at least a decade but I always had problems with the switch and the latch that kept the bowl on the machine. By the end of it's time with me it was getting harder and harder to turn it off as well as remove the bowl from the stand. Even though it still worked, I ended up throwing it away due to frustration with having to fiddle with it every time I used it.

I decided that since I like to keep these things for a long time I wanted the best. After a lot of research I decided on the Kitchenaid 12 cup in Empire Red.

It is gorgeous to look at for starters! It is also has a very powerful and relatively quiet motor. It is really heavy and has a very solid feel. There is no vibration or rattling. It is very easy to use with three buttons: on, off and pulse. Everything on this machine feels solid and tight. I can tell already that this one will well outlast my Braun.

This is a great investment that I can tell will be in my kitchen for decades.

"Good purchase"
I bought this mostly to grate carrots which it does great except for the last skinny little bits which end up between the blade and the cover. My dog gets those! I've used it once to knead dough which it did great, but may not knead a double batch very well. I look forward to trying other things with it.

What our customer's say!

"I love this food processor", I chose this processor after comparing it with others via various reviews. My cooking products magazine selected this as their first choice, user reviews were also top notch and superior to the Cuisinart (which I have used for years and was inclined to buy again). Since the price was comparable to a good Cuisinart and since it had better reviews, I bought the Kitchenaid. This particular processor has a great feed tube and came with a good assortment of slicers, etc. I love having the little processor bowl--I didn't think it'd need it but now use it a lot. HOWEVER, the first thing I sliced with the slicer attachment was cabbage. I must have overfilled it because the blade lifted up and actually shredded part of the cap, just at the bottom of the feed tube. This added shredded plastic to my cabbage--all had to go in the garbage. So, just don't overfill yours and you won't have a problem. Otherwise, it has handled everything I've put in it so far, no problems whatsoever. The problem I had was user error, not equipment related.

"Great food processor!", I have owned two other top name food processors and this one exceeds the others by far. It is very heavy with a powerfull motor. The small bowl is great for chopping nuts. The grater worked great for sharp cheese. I also needed this to process dry dog food mixed with hot water for young puppies. It realy mushes the food great for them! I could not be happier!

"great processor", What a powerful machine. I absolutely love my processor. Shredded 2 bunches of carrots in about 10 seconds flat for carrot bread...delicious. One problem, I made Scalloped potatoes and got plastic shavings from the feed tube in the dish. It was probably my own fault, in my haste I may not have attached all the attachments properly. I still recommend it, so far. Just take care with the attachments and blades.

"Great Food Processor", I love this food processor. I did lots of research, trying to decide between this and a Cuisinart. I found lots of people who love both but in the end, went with this one since it was named "Best Overall" in at least two reports: http://www.consumersearch.com/www/kitchen/food-processors/. It was also a great deal on Amazon.com and I found a $20 rebate online which made it even harder to pass up! This replaces my Cuisinart Duet which didn't work well at all. I'm amazed by how quickly and perfectly it dices an onion and my kids think grating cheese is the coolest thing ever! The 4 cup mini bowl is an awesome feature for those smaller jobs!

"Great Product", I've never had a food processor before but can't imagine a better one. So far, this has done every job very well. I've used it to grate cheese for fondue, mix meat for meatballs, and chop herbs and onions (used the smaller bowl). It's heavy duty and handled all the jobs with ease. As I mentioned, it is very powerful so the first time I chopped onions I ended up with onion soup. Next time I used the pulse button. It's suprisingly quiet as well. Everything (but the base) cleans up great in the dishwasher. The only negatives are the weight, it's pretty heavy and it's fairly large, so finding a place to store it might be a problem.

"Food processor", Having never used a food processor before, I went by others' recommendations on this one. Once I got used to how the food processor works, I really like it. It comes with a case for most of the attachments, but not all. (One of the blades gets left out so I have to store it in the food processor for safety's sake). I'm having a lot of fun with this, and looking forward to learning more ways to use it. I recommend this product.

"Great!", This product is great! It works perfectly and is better than the smaller version. It shipped fast and was very well packaged. Amazon had the lowest price, plus there is a $20 rebate. This was a great buy!

"no complaints", I bought this in February and still have no complaints. It works great...there have been no problems. The step down capability to process smaller batches has been very handy. Since the construction is sturdy, I'm thinking it'll be around for many years. Yeah!

"Love it!", I've had this since Christmas 2007. I got this to replace my ancient LaMchine food processor, and couldn't be happier. This is real quality - not to mention heavy! It works like a charm and is amazingly quiet.

I love that the accessories come in a storage case - much easier to deal with than having to find room in a drawer for all the loose pieces. The case has slots for each accessory so the edges stay sharp.

One thing I love is the piece in the food chute with the hole in the bottom. This is excellent for adding liquids while you're processing. I used it when making pesto to add olive oil while the machine was running. It adds the oil in a nice, continuous stream, rather than dumping it in all at once.

I know there are a million other uses for it that I haven't tried, but I'll explore those before long, too!

All in all, I highly recommend!

"The right tool for serious home chef", ATK recommends it highly, so I bought it. They are right. This is definitely a must-have tool for any serious home chef who want to elevate his/her cooking to a higher level.

At a minimum, it will make your cooking tasks so much easier.
