"Very Poorly Constructed. Buy Something Else!!!" As others have stated, the manual is a joke. It does not properly explain how to put this together. However, it is not difficult to figure it out. The screws and nuts they sent were the wrong sizes. 2 of the holes drilled for the screws were too small. The fan will only stay positioned so it blows towards the ceiling. When you push/pull on it to pull the fan so that it blows where you want it to, it makes the clicking noise it should but will not lock into place. As soon as you let go of the fan it pulls itself all the way back and points so it blows toward the ceiling. There are many, many fans out there for the same price. (29.99) Buy those. You'll save yourself the trouble of returning this one. "Gotta go 3 stars becasue of Assembly" The fan was in more pieces than most I have put together before. The instructions are a joke, small diagrams and low resolution. One of the plastic parts you install to adjust the height was so sharp it cut me . Have to take the dremel rotary sander to file down the jagged edges. However once assembled the fan works great the remote is simple and easy to use with excellent functionality. "mm not to bad" its a good product good ship a good time, but with the instalation is a little dificult because the base is heavy, otherwise is good remote control , thanks "PIECE OF CRAPPOLA" Soleus Air FSD-40B 16-Inch Stand Fan with Remote Control I bought this fan thinking I was saving some money, which I did, but the assembly and end product was NOT worth it. Trust me, I am no genius, but I am very good at putting things together, and this fan, with it's non sequitor, unhelpful instructions took me the better part of 3 HOURS to put together. There are only a few parts to this fan, so that is just plain ridiculous. The fan itself is quiet, and does work, BUT it stands in the corner of my apartment literally taped together with packaging tape. Hello?? Also, the oscillator works well, but the head looses it's 'position' with every swing. You will have it facing straight ahead, and within two seconds, the damn head is facing upward. This is a very disappointing product. The remote is a nice touch, but honestly, I would prefer a well built fan/easily assembled fan that requires me to get up off the couch to adjust than a remote that controls a product not worth the bells and whistles. DO NOT BUY!!!!! "BUYER BEWARE" I purchased the fan...when it arrived the box was unopened however it was missing the hardware, remote and User's manual. After contacting the manufacturer and providing the proof of purchase they sent the hardware but still no remote or manual. All correspondence has fell on deaf ears do not buy.

Excellent fan "should have saved my money", I bought this fan off of amazon in January after our old one broke, we are both fan users all year long. Unfortunatly you can only buy fans during the summer around here, not in January, so we went online and despite all the bad reviews we went ahead and ordered it anyway. The manual is absolutely horrible, my boyfriend put the parts together by common sense faster than me using the manual. It's on the wobbely side and as the fan turns it rocks back and forth off the floor. After about a month, coincedently after the warranty runs out, the thing just stopped working, you can hear the motor working but the fan doesnt move. Evertime we want to use it we have to unscrew and rescrew the knob in the middle and spin the blades a million times to get the thing to start. I mean i guess its better to buy in the winter because i only paid $29.99 for it and now the same exact model sells for $129 in june but still, its a hassle, save your money!! I think i'll just trash it and buy new at walmart for 20 bucks. 
Read this reviews before You buy... "Malformed product dont buy it.", I purcheased this product 2 weeks ago. The base has counter sink holes to hold the pole. But on mine they were not open so i couldn't get base on the pole. Second the control panel does not light up. When I called the company they told me to send them a foot of the electric cord and they would send me another fan. But,now... I also have to pay to have it halled off $25 to have it recycled So,, I recommed you dont buy this product. "Fan or Baby Cessna", The only plus this fan has is the remote. We used in our bedroom and it kept us awake at night. Thinking I was sensitive I moved it to the living room but I needed to turn up the T.V. to hear over it. Even on low it sounds like a baby Cessna. I would not recommend if someone wants a quiet fan. Do not like the fast/slow function. One speed goes fast, then slow, the fast again. Do not like this product. "No problems.", I didn't have any problems assembling it. . . and actually the product I received looks a lot slicker than the one pictured. It has digital lights. I didn't double check to see if it's a different model #. But it probably is on the louder side, but that's probably because it's pushing a lot more air. I use it at night, and the noise is easy for me to sleep through. I even put it on high to squelch out the noisy neighborhood! This definitely beats any sort of "noise" machine in my book! "Love these fans", I have bought several of the soleus fans and I really love them, they move the air perfectly. They have multi-function remotes, you can change the wind from normal to a natural breeze flow, set a timer on the fan, 3 speeds, it's just a great product, and the price from amazon was terrific too. I would defenitely recommend this product to others. "Aircraft jet engine.", I give it a two because it does blow. I wanted a "quiet" fan for my bedroom. And based on at least one other review that said the fan was super quiet, I purchased this fan. I had an old fan that was starting to click and whine a bit. But you could hardly hear the fan portion. This thing is like an F3 tornado with the loud wind noise. It has other settings where it cycles to a lower speed then cycles to a higher speed continuously. I guess to simulate the fan rotating. But all it does is wind up being annoying. If I could cycle the thing down to 1/4th the speed that it goes at on "low" I would be a cappy hamper. As it is, I am going to take it to my shop and use it there. When Lowes brings out the summer stuff, I will actually try one before I buy one to make sure I get what I am aiming for. If you need a fan that can blow you down 40' away, then by all means buy this fan. If you want to use it in your bedroom, only buy it if you are deaf. |
