"WEAK" I received this skillet and the bottom of the skillet was dimpled in about 5 places. i sent it back. Looked very very thin for a base. For the cost its not worth it. Poor quality control. "Great Product, But . . ." I have had a love/hate relationship with this product. My first one worked wonderfully for about six months until the heating unit failed. While it was working, it was wonderful. Because I have a substandard stovetop, I use this product almost every day. I purchased another one. I used it almost daily for a year, and it again was terrific. Heats up quickly, and evenly, and has a nice, large surface area. Then, the nonstick failed. Now, everything sticks. I am debating whether to even consider this product again. "Cuisinart CSK-150 1500-Watt Nonstick Oval Electric Skillet " I bought this for my sister, who entertains frequently. It cooks evenly and clean up is a snap. She thanks me for it often. "It's beautiful" I owned my old electric skillet for 8 years. It was large and got lots of use.The old non-stick coating was wearing off and I've been shopping around for a new one for a while. It finally dropped and broke and I was forced to make a decision. I am so glad I opted for this one. It is deceivingly large, huge in fact. I had made spaghetti sauce and was surprised at how much extra room there was in the pan.I fried 8 potatoes and it just covered the bottom. It has a low profile and is very easy to store. Clean-up is a breeze. You practically just rinse it out. It was well worth the money spent. "Cuisinart Electric Fry Pan" I love my new fry pan! The price was great and it came in a matter of days. I would buy again.

What our customer's say! "Great skillet.", After going through several cheaper electric skillets, I am glad I finally went ahead and spent the $99. This is by far the best electric skillet I have purchased. You can feel the high quality of the product as soon as you take it out of the box, it feels nice and solid. Another great quality is it's not plagued by the unwieldly screw-on legs so many skillets have, it just has rubber feet that keep it firmly in place on your counter while you cook. I only have one complaint: the oval shape is not as convenient for me as a rectangular skillet, it holds less bacon at a time, for example. I highly recommend this product! It is attractive, seemingly well-built, cleaned up easily and did a great job cooking. Then, after three years of use (not real frequent use - maybe once a week on average, if not less), the thermostat stopped working. Like some other negative reviewers here, I discovered that all of a sudden it started cooking everything on the highest possible temperature, no matter what temperature I dialed in on the thermostat. Given the cost of this unit compared to most others on the market, I would have thought it would last longer than (coincidentally) it's warranty period (i.e., 3 years). I would NOT buy another one. "Great value for an electric skillet.", The coating in the electric skillet seems to be very high quality. This has been the problem with previous skillets that we would just throw away. This one seems to be a winner. "rethinking the electric skillet", I bought this skillet anticipating it would be handy while my kitchen is being renovated and I'd be without cook top facilities. The skillet is beautiful and has nice features but I decided it was not really necessary at this time. The size of it, quite large, could only be justified for me if it was getting consistent use as storing it would be a challenge in a house I'm trying to downsize. I'm returning it but for no other reason than I didn't think I'd make use of it enough to warrant the purchase. 
Read this reviews before You buy... "With Lady said not a Good Product", I too use my Electric Fry Pan almost every night. I bought this one and it looks nice, easy to clean BUT as the other reviewer said after about 6 months the heating element goes haywire. No matter what you do it cooks at the highest temperature and it smokes. If you only use it once in a while fine. I sent it back, they sent me a new one and in 5 months same problem. It states dishwasher safe, I do not even use the dishwasher clean by hand to avoid water on the plug in and still same problem. While it looks nice it is only good for occasional use and only will last about 5-6 months, then even setting it on warm cooks full blast. Everything burns. I am still looking for a great skillet, but looks like no one makes a good one. "The Best!", Truely a cut above the pack in the world of Electric Skillets. We have had many and none come close to this. Worth the extra investment! "great product, but too big", I think the product is the best on the market, however, unless you want to cook large quanities at a time it is too large. A skillet about 2/3 the size would have been better....even a little smaller. We liked everything about it except for the size. "Cuisinart is good", I bought this for my dad and he loved it. I had a real hard time finding an electric skillet that wasn't made from aluminum, so to me this was worth the extra money to have a good quality product versus a cheaper version that might only last a year. Until I bought this skillet, I had been using a Farberware electric wok which, after three years of nearly daily use, finally gave up the ghost. I decided that I wanted a replacement with more surface area. So, I bought this Cuisinart. Joy, joy, joy! Like other reviewers, I use this skillet everyday for making breakfast and for dinners not requiring an oven (I mostly use a Farberware convection oven for that). The size and shape are perfect for making breakfast for four or even more. Meats brown beautifully, eggs can be cooked without over-cooking, it cooks evenly and nothing sticks. So far, I have no issues with the non-stick surface even though, like another reviewer, I was initially looking for a stainless steel surface. I really haven't found anything this unit doesn't adapt well to cooking. Spaghetti sauces, fried chicken, one-dish rice and pasta meals all cook perfectly. The temperature control is very sensitive so one can even make delicate sauces without burning them. It keeps cooked food nicely warmed without overcooking. The size and shape offer one many options other electric skillets don't allow. Obviously, I can't say anything bad about this purchase. I'm delighted and consider it well-worth the cost. I don't own stock in Amazon or Cuisinart but I'll telling you ... do yourself a favor, take the plunge and order this product. |
