"Great for the price", I found that the stainless end of the tamper was a bit too small for my espresso maker, but the "handle" end fits perfectly, so that's what I use. Not what the manufacturer intended, but it works for me, and for this price, you can't beat it. The weight is very good, and even though the handle end fits better in the hand, the business end isn't bad either.

After getting the hang of using it again I decided that I should get some accessories now that I was becoming a regular barista (in my mind anyway). I purchased this tamper and am pleased with it. It is a bit on the small side as it's diameter is about 1/4 inch or so too short. Since it was one of the few I could get free shipping on and had decent reviews I purchased it and it's worked fine. I recommend unless you can find a larger one at a close price point which can ship free.

"Does it's job well!", Before purchasing my espresso machine, I was unaware of the necessity of tamping, but now I can get the best results with this tamper; it facilitates the job!!

"too small", the diameter is too small, about 45 mm. The plastic tamper that came with my machine is about 55 mm. The diameter of my coffee machine cup (where the coffee is tamped) is about 60 mm. The plastic tamper works much better because of the bigger diameter.
