"I love this thing!"
I picked this mini blender up at Wally World a few weeks ago and have been pleasantly surprised by its power and utility. Haven't had any problems blending frozen fruit or ice cubes. I suspect that some users aren't putting enough liquid in, hence the negative reviews, but if you do it right, this thing will work like a charm.

I started out throwing huge chunks of hard-as-rock frozen fruit in this thing, but in hopes of making it last longer, I have a better solution: I make up small tupperware containers of mixed frozen/fresh fruits and defrost them in the fridge (or on the counter if I'm in a hurry) for and hour or two before mixing. Should help prolong the life of your beloved blender, and make it more convenient for those of us who buy fruit in bulk!

All in all, an excellent, cheap kitchen gadget that I highly recommend!

"Burned out the motor after 6 months"
Another shameless throw-away item that is built not to last. In this age of environmental melt-down, manufacturers have a responsibility to step up and produce lasting goods, not ones like this cheap blender that breaks after 30 uses and ends up in the landfill forever!

My mother had an Oster that lasted 40 years or more - now THAT is manufacturing integrity. (I do not work for Oster.) But I do believe the earth can no longer ingest all the throw-away garbage we are buying and tossing out because this cheap junk is built to break, not to last.

Shame on them for making this junk and shame on us for buying it.

"Perfect for senior citizen"
My 92-year-old mother loves making smoothies with this blender! Not too difficult for her to operate.

"Price is great... but"
I had a bullet but decided on this because of reviews and price. The good of it is its size, simplicity, and price. The bad of it is the low power of the motor (although I was able to blend ice so it does what i need) and while the attached blade makes the design simpler it is easy for food to get under the blade and then not blended. for example you learn to put the milk in first *then* the protein and fruit.

"Best Money spent"
I never write reviews for a product, but this one made me. I have had this product for about 3 months and use it twice a day. It makes the best protein shakes you have ever had. If you are looking for a great shake maker, look no further. Its small but still can make a double shake no problem. Add some chocolate protein and a frozen bananna and its better than frosty from wendys, I kid you not. Awesome product dont hesitate to purchase.

What our customer's say!

"two years and going strong", My blender is over 2 years old with nearly daily use and is still going strong. I just ordered one for my wife who is now into protein and fruit shakes. Sure beats draggin out the Oster.

"overpriced shiping costs!!", The price for shipping this item is more than the item itself, a little over $19. Find it in a Target store near you unless you are truly desparate!!!!

"PERFECT smoothies EVERY time!! Best Personal Blender EVER!", I don't often review a product, but I must say that this blender is AWESOME. I've only had it about 2 weeks but I have been making all kinds of smoothies and protein shakes. I used to [try] and make smoothies with my old full size blender years ago but the consistency was always off and I ended up burning out the motor on what I thought was a nice blender.

HOWEVER, this little blending powerhouse blends everything quickly and evenly...every time! The size is perfect for one person. The fact that you just drink it right out of the blender is handy... less dishes to wash.

Plus, I have the black version and it's the only kitchen appliance I don't mind leaving out on the counter -- It's nice looking and compact!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BLENDER TO ANYONE LOOKING TO MAKE A QUICK SMOOTHIE OR PROTEIN SHAKE ON A REGULAR BASIS! You won't be sorry! Oh yeah... and helloooooo it doesn't get much cheaper!

"Great and Great Smoothie Tip", I agree with most of the reviews that say this is great for simple smoothie recipes. It DOES work better than my full size blender for this type of job and I have been very happy with it.
One other thing I've learned is to just leave your serving of frozen fruit (or ice cubes) out at room temperature for 3-5 mins. FIRST, then make your drink. You could always microwave the fruit for 10-15 secs. if you're in a big hurry. This simple step will make the job that much easier for this or any blender to do.

"Perfect for One!", I love this blender. I use it mostly for making a smoothie after working out, and there's virtually no clean-up. So quick and easy. Blends good, I only use a few ice cubes at a time though, and it seems to break up the ice easier that way. Very light and compact, I would highly recommend this for someone who wants a quick mixed drink/smoothie without all the bulkiness and hassle of clean-up.

"Tiny and rather powerful", This is pretty good for a mini blender. Start off putting in liquids first before adding solids like fruit or powders. I don't know how it would deal with ice, it really doesn't look powerful enough for that. If you'd like a slushy, try freezing your fruit first instead of using ice cubes.

I do find that the lower mechanical portion is rather hard to clean, which is why I give it 4 stars and not 5.

"fragile and overpowered", I bought one of these at Walmart. The power of the motor is amazing. In fact, that is the problem. You can't fill it up half way unless you hold the lid on, or you will blow it off. The motor is so strong it torqued the cup, and snapped the retaining rings off on both sides of the bottom of the blending cup. They are rather cheesy, flimsy pieces of plastic. This would be a wonderful blender if it had better securing to the base, and a top that didn't have to be held down. I took mine back and got a standard blender. I had hoped to use something smaller than my vitamix for small jobs, but this isn't it. Back to the vitamix, which, of course, is the best. Vitamix wants 80 dollars for a smaller blending cup. I would rather spend the money on a complete blender. 80 bucks for a blending cup is a ripoff.

"Amazing ....... I give it my full support", This thing is sooo amazing .... I was scouring the markets for almost 3 months looking for a good reliable blender for making milk shakes and stuff... It is perfectly sized for a personal drink and very fast and just basically awesome...

I've been using this thing everyday for almost 2 months now with absolutely no hiccups....

best thing ... its inexpensive, and it does not have like 10,000 accessories that you have to keep track of ....

"Great value!", I bought my HB Personal Blender a couple of years ago, when I was on a weight loss program that included powdered drink and shake mixes. I found those things just about palatable if they were properly blended - meaning more than just shaken or stirred by hand.

I was pleased by the simplicity of the unit and its ease of use. I was delighted by how well it worked. The whole thing is so small and lightweight that I could even take it to the office to mix up drinks during the work day.

After I finished the weight loss program I put this gadget away, but I recently took it out again to mix up some fruit smoothies. It still works fine.

Unlike some others who have reported success using this blender to chop ice, I wouldn't challenge it to chop up a lot of heavy or hard stuff.

I also have a Cuisinart DLC-2ABC Mini Prep Plus, Brushed Chrome - another inexpensive small-scale kitchen machine. I will use it to chop any really hard or frozen things rather than putting this little blender to that much stress.

A person who doesn't need to whip up large batches can use this little blender (about $17) or the Cuisinart Mini-Prep Plus (under $40), for most chopping, grinding, mixing and blending jobs. You can buy both of these machines for less than the cost of a high-end blender - with money left over to buy the ingredients. And they don't take up much room - which is a bonus if you have a small kitchen.

"Magnifico!", WEll talk about making ur own Smoothie During deployment, what a better drink after PT? The best purchase by far!
