Since the US kitchen terry mills went out of business most of the imports from China, India and Pakistan have been junk. It's obvious to me that an expert American textile designer provided the technical expertise to the Chinese for these wonderful towels.

The first thing I noticed is that the loops are made from two-ply yarns. This prevents the pile from laying flat and provides longer product life. The towels are generously sized yet not too thick which is important when drying stuff like glassware.

To me the most impressive details are the distinctive dobby weave borders and hems. This styling touch is not required for utility purposes but certainly improves the towel's appearance. It's a costly detail that most manufacturers skip. There are also 8 stitches per inch in the hems which prevents puckering. Most have 6 or less.

These kitchen terries are loom state(unfinished). Be sure to wash them before using as you never know what type of chemicals the Chinese use. Mine came out great after washing.
