"Works fine, lasts long"
I bought this fan in 2004 and it owes me not a penny. It did finally stop working about a week ago. Am planning on purchasing another - It's quiet (okay, maybe the beeping that a few poeple mentioned might bother sleeping babies), fits in a fairly small space, lightweight, and generates a very good breeze. The remote never gave me any problems and I can't remember the last time I had to change the batteries. I kept the fan on all night, every night, and for long periods during the day so it got quite a workout.

"Lasko tower fan review"
Very silent and quite powerful when circulating cool air. It is very sleek and fits in my living room very well.

"Lasko 2530 Tower Fan"
Haven't had the fan long, but it was easy to put together...and gives a wonderful cool breeze and is reasonably quiet. Light weight, too, so it's easy to move from room to room if needed.

"Very Nice Fan"
very quiet and compact , has all the features I enjoy. The remote works well from any angle.

"Needless Beep"
The fan's industrial design is compact and sleek. The build quality is sub-par - rubber pads that keep the unit from scuffing the floor have all fallen off, the fan makes an annoying ticking sound for about 10 minutes and then mysteriously goes away. But the single worst thing about this fan is that the engineers designed it to beep whenever a button is pressed. The fan beeps to turn on, beeps to change speeds, beeps to oscillate, and most annoyingly - it beeps when you turn it off! Why? Parents who would consider buying this to use around sleeping children beware. The only time it doesn't beep is during auto-off in sleep mode - mercifully. I do not recommend this fan.

What our customer's say!

"Nice fan--quality is ok", I decided to purchase a new tower fan after my Sharper Image tower fan started making some unpleasant noises. Although it still works after about 10 years, it was hard to sleep with the noise.

After doing some research I decided to purchase the Lasko. I would have given the Lasko a 5 star rating; however, I am disappointed in the quality of workmanship in this and many other products today. The fan has manufacturing blemishes on it that at first I thought was damage to the fan. Also, when I received it, the back seam was "pulled apart." Fortunately, we could snap it back in place, but for the price, you do expect that this would not be necessary. I am also somewhat disappointed with the remote. It is not sensitive like my old remote on the Sharper Image fan. You absolutely must point it correctly to make changes to the fan. It is a little hard to do in the dark.

The above points aside, so far, the fan has worked properly and goes through all of its cycles fine and is quiet. The fan was very easy to assemble and the instructions were clear. I just hope that it lasts as long as my old fan and I will be perfectly happy.

"better than the old fan", I love this tower fan, it's quiet and I love the sleep setting. My old fan was loud and creaked when it moved, this one can go on for a sleep cycle of 6.5 hours and then turns off by itself, that way I don't wake up in the wee hours of the morning cold from the fan.

"Best "Tower Fan"", I purchased this fan many year's ago......it's the best, this summer it finally "gave out"......of course locally non available anymore, so I was thrilled when I went to Amazon.com and found you had it, so much so.....I ordered TWO!!! Everything was right there to easily put it togther, and once again....would highly recommend this "Tower Fan" by Lasko as the best one out there!!!!

"Cool Fan!", We are very pleased with the way this fan functions in our garage where I normally groom our 3 Irish Setters. It's safe for the dogs and powerful enough to keep the area nice and cool!

"Lasko Tower Fan", Very quiet and nice cool breeze. Just as advertised...love it! The only problem for me is that when you move the fan the bottom comes loose and it feels a little unstable. Highly recommend!

"Cooling air with low noise", I bought this fan for those days that were just not hot enough to turn on the AC or not cold enough to sleep without some cooling. Because I needed it for my bedroom, I was willing to pay extra for a quiet fan. After some research on Amazon and other sites, I could not find any sort of index or grade system by the manufacturers or sellers that would allow for comparing how quiet different fans were. So I took a risk with this model. After almost 2 years, I can say that I am very satisfied with it. I only use it on the lowest speed; it generates enough air flow for me. The noise at this setting is also minimum and I can easily sleep with it. Moreover, I do not think that the noise from the second and third speeds is very much different than from the lowest one. The remote control is excellent and an exercise in simplicity. Overall, I am very satisfied with this fan and I hope to continue with it for several more years.

"Tower fan quiet, powerful, not so remote-controlled", I researched fans in depth before I settled on the highly recommended Lasko Elite Wind Tower Fan. After using the fan for nearly a month, I am extremely pleased with this product.

The fan is both sturdy and elegant, with a plastic body that resembles brushed metal, modern clean lines, and a display that is professional and easy to read from across the room. It's best selling point, however: an ultra compact design. Because it rotates on a tower pedestal, you can place it in very tight spaces without knocking into furniture or blocking open paths in a room or hallway. Also, I was surprised how useful the hand grip in the back was for transporting the fan around the house. We use it everywhere, so luckily it is lightweight and very portable.

It has three speeds, the lowest enough to maintain a comfortable bedroom, the highest enough for a large room on a hot day. You can save energy - especially when using the fan at night - with the easy-to-use timer. As with any fan, it produces some white noise, but at low levels. I was accustomed to the hurricane decibels of box fans that rattle and blow in your window. By contrast, the Lasko Tower Fan has a soft, pleasant whir.

I'd give the fan five stars, except I have had issues with the remote control. Although I replaced the batteries twice, the remote control only works 10-20% of the time. Not a huge problem, but it does reduce functionality from across the room.

Overall, despite the remote control issue, I highly recommend the Lasko Elite Wind Tower Fan.

"Lasko 2530", Have had great luck with the product, works well. Great product and well built, have had no issues thus far. I have owned this product for about 3 months or so.

"Works well for a little while...", I bought this and spent the extra $30 over the cheaper tower fans thinking my price premium would buy me a longer life out of the fan. Turns out i was wrong. I had the same oscillating/clicking issue after just a month of use. now the oscillating gear is done and it either makes loud creaks & noises on oscillate, or it is stationary. At least it still works though!

it isn't as quiet as i'd expect either. Having seen some friends' fans from Crane & Honeywell, i know this could be quieter. Lasko isn't one of the better brands, there is just so many more of them out there...

"This Fan totally Sucks Don't get one!!!", I tried this fan for not a week and it completely stopped working period!!
I tried a replacement and the same thing happened in just one day of operation!!!!
Go get something else not by this manufacuture Lasko!
