Others say...

"Exactly what I wanted!"
The old style of basting brush is totally out. I remember all too well having to pull 'hairs' off of what I was basting, but no more. Also this basting brush cleans up so much better. With my old brush I never felt like I got all of the butter out of it...which is gross and unsanitary. How nice to have this new brush with its soft touch and easy to clean bristles. The weight is nice and heavy too...does not feel cheaply made.

THe draw back is that it is made in China!

"what a brush!!!"
I'm not using a paint brush any more. No more bristles in the food. This brush work great and cleans easily.

"Not convinced it is MIU"
I just received this and have not used it yet but nowhere on it does it say MIU and it has a "made in China" tag. Construction may be ok but certainly isn't as good as my other MIU products. Convince me it is MIU Amazon.

"Love this baster!"
I love this baster...it isn't really for delicate pastries when you first get it as it is quite a sturdy/weighty little thing, but once you get the hang of using it then you'll be fine...I plan to buy a few more.

"Basting Brush"
I purchased this brush to multi-task in the kitchen. Becouse it is silicone it is great with hot liquids or foods. It also works as a pastry brush for liquids or dry brushing.

What our customer's say!

"Easy to clean", Got it because it looked easier to clean. Turned out correct. Way better than old paint brush type.

"Functional, easy to clean.", This is what it says it is.

Sincerely,
Ira Carmel.

"Easy to keep clean.", I really like this item for its ease of use and the fact that it is so easy to keep clean and is very durable....on the downside, I think that it is just a tad too heavy and the balance seems a bit off....though a guy would probably love it!

"Love Kitchen Gadgets", My husband and I really like the silicone basting brushes because they hold up so well, they don't rust like some basting brushes we've had in the past and they clean up spectacularly well.

"Handy barbeque basting brush", I really like this- it's dishwasher safe, and I've used it inside on the stove top and outside on the grill. I can't complain!

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Doesn't Carry Anything", If you're using this brush to move something around after you've already poured it onto a surface, great. However, if you are trying to use this to brush something onto a surface, bruschetta for example, it takes about four swipes to do what can be done in one swipe with regular brushes. I resorted back to using my paint brush.

"Doesn't say MIU, but works very well", As other reviewers have noted, there's nothing on it indicating that it's an MIU France product, but it works very well nonetheless (I used it to spread oil around a very hot cast iron skillet for searing meat, and it didn't melt, which is why I had to replace my last basting brush). It's true that it doesn't carry quite as much stuff as a nylon brush, but it doesn't melt, which is more important to me.

"What a great brush!", This is a great brush for all the reasons everyone mentioned. No bristles in your food, it's not hard to clean, and it's easy to use.

It is large, 9.5" long, 10.25" if you count the ring to hang it with. And heavy. But the head is oblong so you can choose to baste wide or narrow.

All around a great tool.

"THIS WORKS!!! ", Other silicon brushes I have tried don't hold liquid very well to brush or glaze with, it just slides off, but this one does! The end of each "bristle" has a teeny-tiny little silicon ball, so the brush retains glaze and liquids much better than most.

After brushing bread with olive oil for garlic toast I simply blasted it with very hot water as I massaged in a little dishsoap, rinsed and hung back up -- SOOO much better than natural bristles which are impossible to clean.

"Larger than shown", I guess the one thing about buying online is that the size of things can be deceiving. I like the look of clean stainless steel and the fact that I will no longer have to pick bristles off my foods. However, I was quite surprised by the size of this brush. It's bigger and heavier than I would have liked. I have other metal utensils, but they don't feel this heavy. I would probably order a wood or plastic handled one if I did this over.
