Others say...
"Very pretty, so so functionality." They look beautiful but are not very comfortable when trying to grab hot pots, they do not fold correctly or easily. They also let too much heat pass too fast. More style than function, barely acceptable if function is top priority. "Great protection but inflexible disposition" I love these potholders! They really provide great protection from the heat and are wonderfully easy to clean (just "run them under the faucet" or wipe them and re-hang them). I actually like the holes at the top to hang them by and do not agree with the review that said the holes were hazardous (unless one can't figure out NOT to put your finger THROUGH the only opening that is not protected! DUH?) So what would I change...they are very inflexible and that makes it difficult to take things out of the oven without a lot of fiddling to make sure you've "got a grip". I would definitely buy them again but they are so sturdy I can't imagine having to replace them and with the handy little holes to hang them I don't plan on losing them. "happy with mine!" i'm very happy with my potholders. i've used them quite a bit and haven't had much of a problem with them flopping into food as other reviewers stated. they aren't extremely stiff, so you ARE able to control the portion you fold over, and obviously where you bend makes all the difference. i like wrapping them around my le creuset handles. GREAT as trivets too, and i even opened a jar with one once! =) "Just okay" Clunky, clumsy, stiff, if you successfully use padded potholders (or even kitchen towels) these are not all that pleasant. I've pretty much used them as hotPADS for beneath hot pots and not as potHOLDERS. I should have spent my money on new cotton padded potholders. I suspect these will end up in my FreeCycle bag. "nice product" I love that this product is so heat resistent. What I find hard is that occasionally they are slippery when taking something from the oven. If you can get a good grip on the item before taking it out of the oven that helps alot. But I love the color and I use these for trivets too.

What our customer's say! "Silicone Potholder", Was hoping to get a potholder that I could easily wipe off rather than my fabric ones dipping into foods and getting messy quickly. Was very disappointed. This is not a product to be reaching into an oven with. Fine to set hot pots on, but not to be used to pull food out of an oven. "MIU Silicone Potholders", The pros of these potholders are that they work well and look sharp hanging in the kitchen. The only con is that they are on the small side, so if you don't hold them just right you could get a finger over the edge and burn yourself. Handle with care! "Extremely versatile *I Love This*", I purchased 2 sets of these MIU Silicone Potholders in Black (4 total). I purchased them mainly to use as trivets, but oh my! I love them as potholders, trivets and jar openers. I will never own any other trivet or potholder ever again. Quick wash, almost no storage space, multipurpose! I highly recommend. "Potholders/Hot Matts", These work terrific as hot matts, but not very well as potholders. They are not very flexible which makes them difficult to use as a potholder. "You can buy it at a dollar store", Ummm. They work great but you can buy the same thing at a dollar store. ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "not all that", I really thought these would be nice to have but turns out they weren't. They sit in my drawer and are never used. They are difficult to use because they flop into the food. I'll just stick to cloth. "Trivets at best... Cannot pick up a pan without getting potholder in the food.", When you try to pick up a pan in the oven the potholder folds over into the pan and often touches the food because they are very rigid. For the price I was not dissappointed because they are ok for pot handles and as hot plates on the counter. They are very easy to clean, you can put them in the dishwasher. "Great product, great price", These babies really do work nicely. Whether you're using them as potholders, trivets, or jar openers...they come through with flying colors. And you can't beat the price. I bought black because it hides any dirt. But that's just my personal preference. Buy these and you won't regret it. "These rock", They insulate well, they have much better feel since they aren't thick and lumpy and you can throw them in the dishwasher to clean them. "excellent product, highly recommend", I absolutely love these potholders!!!! I have four sets of them. They are great as potholders but they also have other uses. I place them under cutting boards to keep them from sliding on the counter when I am chopping. I also use them to keep bowls firmly on the counter if I am whipping cream. I also use them as trivets when placing hot pans on my counter top. My only caution regarding this product is that you need to be aware of the location of the hole in one corner of the potholder. I didn't pay attention one day and got a nasty burn pulling a very hot pan out of the oven. If you are a bit of a klutz, like me, best to keep 100% aloe in the house just in case you do what I did. Repeated applications of aloe took the burn out of the fingertip in a few hours. I was very fortunate. I hope this doesn't happen to you. I highly recommend this product. ![]() |
