"Great bargain.", These are excellent towels for the money. They are not super absorbent, but they do get the job done. I really like the fact they are nearly lint less when cleaning my glass cooktop. Washed up great, wrinkled some in the dryer, but I buy my dishcloths for work and not looks anyway. Not that having handsome patterns in a lovely shade of red hurts. With three rambunctious grandkids running the house these days, all thoughts of things like color coordination in the kitchen are just a fond memory. I am happy as long as I can find the coffee press and tea kettle. I do find these towels to be an excellent, excellent bargain. I intend to buy a couple of more sets. And as always good ol' Amazon's shipping was super fast.

"a tendency to wrinkle", Some of these towels come out fine in the wash and others really wrinkle. I think with a couple of washings they will be fine. I do like the fact that they are absorbent and I would buy them again.

"Practical selection for co-ordinated kitchen! Soft & absorbent!", Since my family hasn't chosen a color scheme for the kitchen and adjoining dining room of our new residence, I chose this neutral color of tan (titled "linen" by the manufacturer) for our kitchen towels. I ordered six sets so we could use the old ones as cleaning rags. Admittedly, they're not that raggedy, but they're not color-co-ordinated so ... what the heck!

For the kitchen decor we're thinking of a light yellow with a complementary shade of green ... or perhaps blue. But meanwhile, since these "linen-colored" towels will blend well with almost every shade, we can't go wrong. They also come in other aesthetic colors, any of which I would have chosen if we had already selected our decor.

I chose this set because it has five towels for the same price as others that have only two, and they're attractive in a soft, elegant way: coming in assorted patterns of gingham, plaid, houndstooth, and two striped (refer to the above photo). Since these towels are 100-percent cotton, they're extra absorbent and machine washable. In addition to those practical features, they're the 18x28" size that I've always preferred.

The manufacturer warns that some shrinkage may occur, but I found that to be minimal to non-existent, and was pleased that these towels kept their shape so well.

I got a big LOL from the manufacturer saying that by having various patterns, drying dishes would never get boring. That's a bunch of nonsense, and has nothing to do with boredom. Although my reward in drying is the satisfaction in keeping one's home running smoothly, the only time I'm not bored with that job is when a sociable family member (or friend) washes while I dry. It's the companionship and friendly banter that makes an everyday, ordinary household chore fun.

Would anyone like to come over and wash dishes while I dry? Or I'll wash, if you prefer. I guarantee that neither of us will be bored.

"Quality", Kitchen towels were purchased to line Easter baskets for family members. Glad I purchased extras for myself. Very good quality. Will continue to look out for special pricing and obtain more for upcoming packages (birthday, showers, etc).

"Basic towels", Nice set of extra towels. I'm using two of them for decoration. They do wrinkle, especially at the edges. There is one fairly absorbant towel in the 5 pack, the rest are pretty thin. I got these for $4.99 as a filler. Not a bad deal for $5.00.

"Not exactly as advertised", The towels were advertised as "linen". At the going price I was suspicious, but ordered anyway. They are cotton,but not not linen. Bottom line: they are well worth the price, they are attractive, well made and work well. I am still looking not for cotton linens, but linen towels.

"Great looking and nice to embroider on", These look very nice, expensive, and feel nice. I embroidered on them for gifts and they came out beautifully. (you can see the embroidered towels on my personal site [...]
UPDATE: I've since ordered several of the other brands in the same price range and they can't compare to these. For the price, it's a very good value and I plan on purchasing other colors as well as more of these. I should have given them FIVE stars!

"These are very nice looking towels and dry great too!", What can I say other than they look great and do the job well! Good towels for the price!

"Kitchen towels", the towels are beautiful to look at, but it will take a while to get all the softener out of them. They seem to have a lot of softener on them.

"Nice Linen Kitchen Towels", I have not had the chance to use these as yet, but was impressed with the quality and color.
