"Ridiculous design! Don't buy into the industrial-chic look!", I don't know how to describe this coffeemaker except to say that it is ostentatiously over-sized in an attempt at "industrial chic." It has no visible water gauge on the outside, and it's difficult to fill unless you are very tall in order to look down into the interior water reservoir. That seemed an easy enough problem to solve merely by filling the carafe with the amount of water to measure, and pouring it blindly into the small opening of the reservoir, but it's almost impossible not to spill water while pouring it. The machine brews very good coffee, but ours has broken within three months of our buying it, because if any coffee grounds spill into the filter-holder when there is no filter in it, the works of the machine are gummed up forever. We're thinking of going back to the enameled drip pot I bought when I lived in New Orleans and used for thirty-five years. I'm beginning to think "low-tech" is best!

"great coffee maker", I've been using this coffee maker for a couple of months now and I am very happy with it so far. The instructions in the manual make it easy to set up the clock and the auto on feature. I like that it comes with a water filter and permanent wire basket/filter as well.

The coffee made by this machine is far superior to my previous coffee maker.



"So far so good!", I have only had this coffee maker for 1 month so I am not sure as to the value of this review, however, here it is. The unit has performed flawlessly so far. The coffee tastes great and the unit is very simple to use. We love the adjustable warming plate and the 1-4 cup option setting. The unit seems easy to clean and maintain. The unit is fairly priced in my opinion. Go ahead and buy one, you will not be disappointed.

"Attractive and Functional", This is a fantastic, well-priced coffee maker. It is very attractive and matches well in the kitchen. The coffee is also quite good. Programming is easy. And there is even a setting to adjust the temperature for 1-4 cups of coffee. I would definitely recommend this coffee maker to anyone wants a better coffee maker but does not want to spend over a $100.

"Terrific, Problem-Free Coffeemaker", Purchased this as a gift for my parents 4 years ago. They still have it and use it on a daily basis. It still works, and looks, just as good as the first day they pulled it out of the box. I plan on replacing mine with one of these sometime soon.

"Cuisinart DCC 1200 12-cup", I now own two and feel it's the best out there. I'd rate it a 5 if they found a way to open the lid so that the condensation would't drip down the side of the coffee pot, but almost all coffee pots do this. This pot has the ability to adjust temp's after the brew which is great and you can set the auto shut off for 2, 3 or 4 hours. I love it, I have one at work and one at home. You will not be disappointed for the extra bucks spent.

"I love my coffee!", When our electric perk machine quit making coffee good and hot, we decided to go looking for a new coffee maker. We have never liked the traditional drip makers (except for the Bunn we had years and years ago) because they don't produce the flavor that I like. It is my belief that you need the water to be HOT in order to get all the goodie out of the coffee grounds. After reading all the reviews on Amazon about different makers, we decided to try the Cuisinart. Boy am I glad we did. I am very pleased with the programmable features, although if you're not good at figuring things out, don't hope the product manual will be of assistance, lol. It's not that helpful. Anyway, the coffee is HOT, I can program when the warming tray shuts off, I can program the coffee to be ready to help wake me up in the morning. (Do you know how awesome it is to have your NOSE wake you up rather than your ears??)I also like how this machine looks in my newly (almost finished) remodeled kitchen. The machine cleans nicely, it looks and functions wonderfully. Couldn't ask for more!

"Makes a Good Cup of Joe", I've had this coffee maker for over a year and it works fine. It makes good coffee and looks good on the counter.

"Nice coffee maker", Makes great coffee and keeps it very hot. The only thing I don't like is that the numbers for the water line are on the inside of the coffee maker, not on the outside, so it can be difficult to see the water line from the inside. Otherwise it's very nice.

"Great coffee maker", I did a lot of research on this one. I had a bun for years and loved it but couldn't afford to replace it when it died. I ended up with this one and love it. Easy to pour water in. It beeps when done and stays hot. It beeps again when it shuts off (auto off). It takes a while to make a pot of coffee, but it's well worth it. Great coffee. I would buy again.
