"Dashboard mount that works" I have just started to do some traveling for work and purchased this unit as my window mount unit broke down. This is a great piece as it keeps it on the dash without movement what so ever. I recommend this to each and everyone who has a GPS. "Dash mount for StreetPilot" This product is so much better then the mount that came with the unit. it is a little harder to see the screen clearly when on a bumpy country road but it doesn't fall off the window anymore. For a company like mine the GPS is a must have. I have to travel for home to home all the time so it helps me get there on time. "Garmin Streetpilot platform" Platform worked fine for my SUV with flat dashboard but was useless on my sedan because it slopes down slightly. It would hold for 2-3 minutes then slide onto car floor. "Excellent solution " I purchased a Tyota Prius and the windshield configuration did not lend itself well to the suction mount that came with my existing Garmin 330. This dash mount is the perfect solution allowing us to place the unit in easy sight with ready access. "Good, but slips more than the beanbag mount" This mount will work very well on most dashboards, but will slip more than the older beanbag mount on harder, steeper dashes. It seems counter-intuitive as the newer mount has rubber feet, but on a recent trip our in-law's newer mount slipped all over the dash, where on a trip last year, same car, our beanbag mount sat like it was glued. If you have a soft-touch or relatively flat dash, this will work very well. If you have a hard plastic dash, as in many GM cars, I would avoid it, especially if the dash is really curvy or steep, and select another mount.

What our customer's say! "Great Accessory", I've had my C340 now for almost 2 years and love it. The one problem is the suction cup that comes with it doesn't stay on the glass very well anymore. The dashboard mount is really great! I've used it in my car and minivan and it doesn't slide around at all, easy to just set down right where you want it and it stays. I wish this had come with the GPS in place of the suction cup. "Fabulous Friction Base", We have a Garmin StreetPilot c330. Love the GPS unit; Hated the suction cup window mount. I used my original and 2 replacement suction mounts. Finally got to have the Friction Base. What a relief!!! Have had absolutely NO problem with it flying around in any of our 4 vehicles. Our GMC pickup has a very steep dash board and sometimes it will creep its way back a bit, and need to be reset minorly, but that's WAY better then having it fly off the windshield and land in my lap or bounce off the console as I'm driving down the road, which happened more than once. We really like this base a lot! It stays put very well. I would never, ever go back to the suction base. This is a great solution! "Bill", This product is very good, easy to use. It does tend to slip around on the plastic dachboard, but not enough to worry about. "Garmin Dash Mount", I have received this item in new condition. I am using this for Garmin C320 & its more convenient than Windsheild Suction mount. "John from Texas", The Garmin Dash Mount for my C330 GPS was the best investment I could have made. It works perfectly on my dash. I travel a great deal and always had a problem with the suction cup mount falling off. It is a very stable mount accessory for your Garmin GPS and you will be glad you made the investment. 
Read this reviews before You buy... "A very good product", I purchased this because the conventional suction cup doesn't work well in the extreme cold/hot weather. This new mounting kit works great with the Garmin StreetPilot C320. Its portable, can be hidden easily (when parking) and a very stable unit when vehicle is in motion. No regrets with this purchase. "works for me", This works for me as I had broken the power connection from the windshield mount, so I had no power. The mount itself worked better in my mom's car, a Buick that has a flatter dash, than mine, a Nissan Maxima with a more curved dash. It still works better in my opinion than the windshield mount, but it will slide off on sudden take off. "Love my dashboard mount", We have had this mount for a few months now and it has been great. The suction mount didn't work on our prius dashboard and we had to always mount it on the window which can present it's own set of difficulties. The dash mount has very little movement, stays put while driving and is easy to reach especially if you are under 6 feet tall! It is easy to store for our cars. It may present some difficulty if you have a smaller box to hide your items from potential thieves. On the upside, no more tell tale portable nav rings on your window. It does fit easily under your seat for hiding if needed. No directions needed for setup,just put it in the cradle and you are off and driving. I love it! "Great dash mount for garmin C series", The dash mount is quality and easy to adjust. You don't have to worry about a suction cup mount falling off your windshield every few hours. It provides better stability that expected. Good purchase! "older garmin replacement mount", This is much improved mount and power connection over the manufacturers supplied mount that came with the Garmin. I highly recommend this and for the price it would be worth getting even if your existing mount still works. |
