"Rowenta 8800 makes ironing a breeze" I never knew how easy ironing could be until I got this iron. Shipping was fast and the price was right, all in all I'm very pleased ... thank you amazon. Judy "Randomly stopped working" i've had this iron for less then two years......i loved it.....it would almost instantly take out the wrinkles.....and then about a couple of weeks the ago, the "burst of steam" button just stopped working....now although the iron still works it takes a much londer time for me to iron my clothes and it is not as crisp as before.....also it always leaks water as i'm ironing....overall when it was working properly...it was the bomb!!!....but i never expected it to break down in less than two years after spending so much money for it..... "excellent" I really like my Rowenta. In fact I have given two as gifts. It is a good heavy iron with a lot of steam power. Pat Wade "electric cord failed" The electric cord on ours failed after 1.5 years. The swivel point where it attaches to the iron is not robust enough for a household where ironing demands are pretty light. "Rowenta Iron" Love this iron! This is our second purchase of Rowenta for the past ten years...couldn't be happier. Husband's slacks look beautiful each and every time!

What our customer's say! "Rowenta DX 8800", This is by far the best iron on the market. You just can't find an iron this good for double the money. I highly recommend this product. "Rowenta is made in Germany (NOT CHINA!)", Rowenta is made in Germany (NOT CHINA) and to me, that's a selling point in its own. This is our second Rowenta. The DM-88(?) was our first model that was still working but starting to leak after about 4+ years (from too many operator error drops I'm sure). It paid for itself many times over. This new DX-8800 has been used for about a week now and its obviously another solid Rowenta iron we look forward to using for some time. It makes even shorter work of my self-ironed work dress shirts, pants and on the rare occasion that I iron jeans, the extra steam burst will lay em flat in no time. The 1750 watts on this unit trump the 1400 or 1500 on the prior Rowenta and even then it seemed to be alot of power/steam. I purchased this with a credit card that will extend the great 1 yr mfg warranty another full year. What else can I say, SOLD! "Worked great for 2 years", This is my second Rowenta and it seems that they only last 2 years... If I can get parts to fix this one... I'll keep it... If not hello Black & Decker!! "Rowenta Iron", I love how easy it is to add water to this iron. I had another Rowenta that was more difficult to fill (That one worked great too, until I dropped it one too many times). This iron is a great product "Keeps shutting off during ironing", My husband just purchased this iron because he didn't like my basic Black & Decker. The darn thing keeps shutting off while I am ironing. It's only supposed to do that if you set it down and leave it for 8 minutes. For example, I set it down vertically to go lay the pair of shorts I was ironing on my folding table, and when I turned around, it had shut off. I had only left it for maybe 20 seconds! I have to fiddle with it to get it to come back on again and then it keeps happening even if I just set it down to turn an item of clothing over to iron the other side. Also the dial underneath the handle is in an awkward place. I am so frustrated that I just want my plain and simple Black & Decker back! 
Read this reviews before You buy... "Rowenty Iron", This is our second Rowenta Iron and is certainly a quality product. We are happy with it's performance. "DANGEROUS Product - Do Not Buy", The Rowenta Professional Model DX8800 is a DANGEROUS product. One would expect excellent customer services and quality from an iron costing over $100 but Rowenta doesn't provide. We received this model for as a wedding gift and within a few months of use, the unit burst into flames. Rowenta's only response, send it back and we'll take a look at. Given the circumstances, I would have expected an apology for producing a potentially life-threatening consumer good, but that wasn't there response. I repeat, this is a DANGEROUS product do not buy. "It was good for 4 months", It was a very nice iron. Unfortunately it stopped working after four months. At first it started to spill water. I tried all kind of water to fix this without any help. Now auto-off switch shuts down iron in the middle of ironing at random times. Sometimes iron will not turn on at all. "Rowenta DX-8800 1750 Professional Iron", I purchased a Braun iron at the same time I purchased the Rowenta. The Rowenta cost twice as much. It is considerably heavier, and does not steam as well as the Braun. The water input area is also difficult to access. "consistent quality", I purschased the Rowenta DX-8800 1750-watt Professional iron. The weight of the iron combined with the abdundant steam really shorten my ironing time. This is my second Rowenta, and I would not purchase any other brand! |
