Others say...

"The designer never used this timer"
This compact, attractive, inexpensive timer has several flaws that make it practically unusable.

- The numbers are so tall and skinny that they're hard to read. In addition, they're recessed quite deeply into the cutout in the case, so that if you tilt the timer just a little bit up or down, the tops or bottoms of the numbers are cut off.

- There's no button for resetting the time to 0. You have to press two other buttons at once, a clunky arrangement for a function you use all the time.

- The alarm is too soft to hear from more than one room away. (I replaced the battery it came with, but that didn't help.)

- When you set the timer on its stand on the kitchen counter, the face is nearly vertical, so you can't read it when standing and looking down at it from normal height. When you close the stand and stick it to a vertical surface (like the range hood) using the magnet, the face angles downward about 15 degrees, and again you can't read it.

- The magnet is too weak to hold it securely. The timer tends to slip and rotate. If you press a button while it's stuck to something, the magnet releases and the timer falls off. You ALWAYS have to use two hands to do anything with it.

I wanted to like this timer, but it's a complete loser.

"Simple to use timer."
Easy to use. No frills. One nice feature is it will also count "up" as well as "down." Loud alarm. Excellent.

"Arrived Broken"
The LCD was broken when the product arrived. One of the numbers would not display. Aside from that, the product felt very cheap. I guess if it had arrived in working condition it would be worth the six bucks (hence the 2 stars), but I had to go buy something better.

"Great item"
I have been using this timer for about a year now and it's perfect. I love the stand and the magnet back and the clip for my pocket. Works well in any situation I am in. Great for kids time-outs too.

"Digital Timer for Exercise Motivation"
I lost my previous timer and didn't exercise that day. I had been exercising for nearly three years (except for sickness). After several more days, I had to have another.

I mix up my cardio, but want a minimum of 30 minutes. With the timer, I can set it for the 30 minutes, then it beeps when I reach my goal. Or I can leave it at 0, start it and work out.

I like the large digits. I can see it without having to stop (my work out). I don't think I can ever do without it. And it's not a complicated piece, just three buttons, clearly marked, and a two-button combination to clear. Nothing else to learn.

My timer also helps me to slow down my Weight Training routine (for maximum benefit). Besides exercise, I use it to push myself to do other chores I don't care for. I really this timer.

What our customer's say!

"Timer is fine - clip/magnet broke off", I received this as a stocking stuffer (yes, as a college student I still receive stocking stuffers :-)).

The clock itself works fine. It can count up or down. I do not believe it stops beeping at any point once the alarm goes off (at least it continues to beep for 5 minutes). This might be a pro or con depending on what you are looking for. The neat little clip/magnet on the back was something I wanted in a timer, but on this Taylor timer, the clip broke within two months of occasional use. The plastic is cheap, so that is probably what is to blame. Overall, I'd suggest another timer because the clip/magnet was really what I liked in this cheap little timer.

"Neat little item", I received this some time ago and it is definitely all you could ask for at the price. Works well, buttons are easy to push. Magnet seems good although I don't usually keep mine attached anywhere, as I use it mostly for exercises.

"Just okay...", The timer works well but the alarm is way too soft and makes it hard to hear unless you carry the timer around with you. If you're in another room, you'd better keep your eye on the clock. It does a number of things for an inexpensive device, however.

"tiny timer", This tiny timmer is great. My chiropractor uses this same timer for the therpy groups at his office. It is so, easy to use. I just decided I would buy one for home to make my workouts easier there also. I love the ease of use. I have tried several different ones but, this one it the best I have found.

"Timer", This is a good timer. I was looking for a louder ring, and this wasn't nearly loud enough for me, but might be OK for people who hear well. For a louder ring and easier use ( 10 big buttons to program the time period, instead of repeatedly punching the seconds & minutes buttons)I prefer the Taylor 10-key Style Timer, also sold here. Fast delivery.

"Its a time, what else can you say?", I wanted a cheap digital update to my egg timer that broke and this was it. Works great. One tip that I didnt see in the instructions was how to reset to zero, if you hold min and sec buttons at the same time it will set back to zero.

"Great Little Timer!", This timer is great! Very, very easy to use, easy to see the numbers, magnetic strip on back and can also stand on it's own, and can be clipped on to things, as well! Very handy!

"Little Timer, Great Job", We use this product for timing our machine process. The beeper is nice, easy to use. Very durable. I bought one for home use. I time my baking, my laundry, hair coloring, facials. It has a magnet, so that I keep it on the refrigerator and I can locate this all the time.

"Pure Junk....", Junk, Junk, Junk....

I bought my first timer at a local store, started to use it in my meditation practice. The thing was never used in the kitchen, never dropped or exposed to water. Well...the display failed within two weeks. I then took it back to the store and they swapped it out without any hassle. However...~two weeks later...the display failed in this unit.

My wife saw a nicer model made by the same company (Taylor), so I swapped the 2nd unit for that one. Guess what...the display worked just fine...but the timer chirped at the 5 minute mark...no matter what time was entered. (Strike #3 against the OEM.)

My wife then contacted Taylor, and they sent us a replacement. However...when unit number 4 arrived...it had the same flaw as unit number 3!!!

To make a long story short...look for a different brand than Taylor. I am very dissapointed with their product line.

"timer", excellant timer, easy to use, no annoying extra 1 minute reminders, use as magnetic or clip on
