Others say...
"T-Tal iron" Brilliant! I recently moved to the US from England, and my iron there was a T-Fal. I tried another make and it died far too soon. I was actually using the converter along with my English iron, and decided to try to find something I could use without a converter. I was absoluely delighted when I found the T-Fal. I love the bottom; it glides over everything. I love the way the water fills. It really is a wonderful iron. "Terrific for Quilters" I love my T-FAL Aquaspeed Iron! I was skeptical when I'd read the review saying you only need to make "one pass" to press an article of clothing, but they were right! I prefer to press my clothes only as needed (as I prepare for work), so speediness is a plus and my clothes always turn out great. I use mine more as I quilt, which requires lots of pressing. If the iron has shut off (a great safety feature), it takes very little time to warm back up so I can press and return to my sewing. The only feature that I have trouble with is no "off" switch, but you just have to get used to the automatic shut off (and the blinking light indicates when the iron is off). I highly recommend this great affordable iron! "Glides like silk" Bought this for the man in my life who loves to iron (yes...I am lucky). He complained about every other iron that we have had in the past...but he is now in love and smiles when he is done. So based on his high standards for irons, I would say this was a great one! "Great iron" Everything about this iron is great except the auto-off function. There is no on or off switch hence upon pluggin the iron it should automatically comes on... however it doesn't do that and so i have I thought it was just a glitch so i was watching this and it got worse it wouldn't come on most times, and i have to be playing with the iron/ heat settings for it to come on. I called amazon but they told me its past 30 days so i must check with manufacture for warranty. This was a prob i called gave the iron model and was given a facility to ship iron for repair or exchange. I am awaiting its returm. "T-FAL Aquaspeed is HOT!" I am very pleased with the T-FAL Aquaspeed FV5155 iron. I've had two Rowentas, but I like this one better. The Rowentas tended to drip water and were very difficult to fill. The Aquaspeed is a breeze to fill, and as long as I turn it off and turn off the steam, it doesn't drip. I've had it a month-and-a-half and done LOTS of ironing. It gets hot enough, and I like the bigger base for better stability.

What our customer's say! "Great Iron", Pretty happy with this iron so far...A lot of thought has gone into makeing this iron from the wide base to it's ceramic ironing surface...The easy to fill water reservoir is one of the best I've seen before and the swivel cord (Along with 10 feet length) is very convenient. Best of all, it works like a charm so far "great iron but it leaks out rusty water and stain the shirts", I love that it does the job well when it does not leak out rusty water. The iron glides well but abit heavy to use. I have always use T Fal irons and for some reason, this one doesn't work so great. "Great iron", This is probably the 20th iron I have purchased over the years and it is the best. Lots of steam, extremely fast, you don't need to go over and over the fabric to get tough wrinkles out. The base is wide so it doesn't tip over. Highly recommend. "T-Fal AquSpeed 155 Iron", I have used many irons over the years, including Rowenta. This iron beats them all. The steam button really makes a nice crease instantly. I highly recommend it. "Need an Iron?", This is a great Iron. I like a heavy iron, and this one is on the heavy side. I would definatly buy this iron again. Love the Auto off, and it makes TONS of steam. ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "WORTH THE MONEY", THIS IS THE SECOND T-FAL AQUASPEED IRON I HAVE PURCHASED, BUT THIS IS BEST PRICE BY FAR AND EVEN INCLUDED AT $15.00 REBATE. I LOVE THESE IRONS BUT UNFORTUNATELY, I IRON A LOT, AND UNFORTUNATELY THIS MODEL SEEMS TO LAST ONLY A COUPLE OF YEARS. BUT I'VE GONE FOR ANOTHER ONE. "Best iron", I love to iron, and unfortunately, I'm hard on them. When I bought my first T-fal, I figured it would last a month, maybe two. It lasted two years. Probably would have lasted longer if I hadn't dropped it. My second one lasted even longer..until I put it on the stove to cool and inadvertently turned on the burner it was sitting on and cooked it. My third one was purchased to replace this one, and was my first lemon. It only lasted a year, then started spewing black goo on everything..and when I went to buy a new one, I could only find the basic model..which was okay, but I liked the fancier ones with the lever instead of the dial, with more steam holes, etc. Couldn't find one anywhere, until Amazon, and since they are only available sporadically, I buy one whenever I can. I now have six in storage. I love them..they are easy to use, they iron wonderfully, and even work on heavy fabrics like denim, and light fabrics like silk. And they look really cool!! No other iron has as many features..lots of steam holes (which means lots of steam!) easy to clean plate, a long cord, and bookoo ironing power. I would wholeheartedly recommend the T-fal iron for anyone..esp anyone who's hard on irons like me. Now, if I could just stop burning myself on the darn thing!! "Nice iron with a few minor problems", Nice iron for the price. Made in France. Quality comparable to Rowenta. Large non-stick soleplate. Heats up quickly. Water fills and empties from the bottom. This means you have to disengage the unit and flip it over in order to fill it. The base is heavy and sturdy which prevents tip over, but the power cord unfortunately can easily get hung on the corner of the base during use. "Good iron", It is a good iron. It glides over my clothes and makes ironing a breeze! "What's all the fuss about?", I bought this iron on the strength of its rating in a comparison done by someone who writes for Slate -- he rated it the best of the ten irons he and his mother tested in the comparison. My hopes were high when I first plugged it in, but by the time I finished ironing a silk blouse which seemed manageable enough with my old, broken-down iron, I had to go into a state of denial so I could continue to believe that this iron was the best I'd ever used. The first thing I found that I didn't like is that the steam level is tied to the temperature, so if you want a lot of steam, you have to raise the heat setting. That's not good. Second, the Slate reviewer said this iron glides over fabrics better than any of the others tested, yet when I ironed a polyester knit, the iron dragged and pulled. That had never happened when I ironed this same article of clothing with the old broken-down EuroShark. Then, in the course of trying to maintain the iron so it would perform at its best (?), I soaked a component in vinegar and water for 4 hours (which you're supposed to do monthly), being careful not to touch the tip (which the instructions warn strongly against), and the iron was rendered inoperable when I inserted the part back in the iron. The steam just stopped coming. I realize that this iron's fans are legion, but I am here to say that I don't like it. It doesn't do the job, by a long shot. ![]() |
