"Waffler" I just love this waffle iron! It's compact, heats up quickly and produces great waffles! One of the best purchases I have made in a long time! "Good Enough" I like the size as I have very little space in my kitchen. The cord wraps around the bottom which is a nice feature. The waffle come out okay but for a crispier waffle I found that it needs to cook a couple of minutes past the beeping sound. What I didn't like is that the icons and print was completely wiped off as soon as I used a damp paper towel on it. This says to me that it's a cheap made in China item. Overall, the price is much too high for what it is. Whatever happened to quality control? "VERY PLEASED WITH MY SELECTION" Selected this after reading MANY reviews on the large selection of waffle makers... Very happy so far with my choice. I have had this 2 weeks and about 20 waffles (2 each sitting) for breakfast.. Every one has come out perfect. Restaurant quality.. I am using Golden Malted pancake/waffle mix. I was hesitant to buy this because i do not cook at all .Everything frozen and microwaved/ or toasted..Encluding frozen waffles. NEVER again.. Can't say enough good things about this .. No Negatives. "awesome!!!!!!!" This is my first waffler. It is great!!!! Waffles are perfectly crispy!!! Also, I chose free shipping and received item within 3 days of order. Only complaint is that heat settings rubbed off--maybe non-stick spray had something to do with it????? HIGHLY recommend this product. "Bachelor Bliss!" A middle-aged bachelor, I developed a desire for waffles as a quality breakfast staple. I performed a large scale research project, here on Amazon, and (with Alton Brown's endorsement), purchased this VillaWare waffle iron. I considered less expensive models/brands, but feel I'm money (and satisfaction) ahead spending a little more for a superior product. It's been an excellent addition to my kitchen, and I use it weekly. It performs exactly as described, and I'm (nearly) completely satisfied. My only reason for not rating it five stars is because of the somewhat "iffy" browning control selection lever. It has a little play in it, but once placing it in level six (more or less) as best I could estimate, I've not moved it, since the waffles produced have been delightful. The complaints of the "done" signal are, in my opinion, overreaching, and simply not an issue. I didn't deduct any star value from my rating because of the beep. I've used recipes from Alton Brown and Amazon reviewer Gardenia Holly, and both are delicious. I generally double the recipes, eat one piping hot, and refrigerate/freeze the extras for simple microwave reheating. When doubling Gardenia Holly's recipe, I'd suggest cutting back the butter to 1 1/2 sticks. I've a standard soup ladle that I've found, with a heaping ladle-full, delivers a perfectly sized waffle. A little simple experimentation and you'll be zinging out waffles like a short-order chef! So from a bachelor who's not entirely inexperienced in the kitchen, I heartily recommend this VillaWare V2002. Purchase with confidence!

What our customer's say! "VillaWare Waffle Maker", I have used the waffle maker several times, and I have been very happy with the results. The waffles are cooked consistently to my taste. The alarm that notifies you that the waffle maker is pre-heated, and when the waffle is ready works perfectly. There is no on and off switch, but you just have to unplug it. One thing I did not like was the slider that controls how long the waffle cooks. The switch is a bit flimsy. "yummy waffles", GREAT IRON! easy to use followed recipe in product book and waffles were delicious well worth the price "Great purchase", I purchased this waffle maker as a gift. It does everything as advertised. The waffles that it produces are crisp on the outside and light and fluffy in the middle. The unit is also very easy to keep clean. Just wipe it down once it cools off is all that is needed. My only complaint is that all of the writing on the unit has already rubbed off from wiping it down after each use. I would certainly purchase this unit again. "Villaware Belgian Waffle iron", This is a heavy duty, good quality waffle iron. I had purchased a different brand, less expensive waffle iron and ended up returning it because it felt flimsy. The Villaware waffle iron is a quality appliance that makes greats waffles. "Good as Recommended before", Followed the previous recommendations. Right on !!!!!!!!! Wonderful product == works as advertised -- makes G R E A T waffles. 
Read this reviews before You buy... "Makes great waffles", I bought this waffler to replace one that had a broken handle. I like the overall structure of this model because it is so sturdy. the hinge on the back is huge, so I know it will last. Also there is no flipping involved so there wont be strain on the handle. I love the audible beep. Its really loud, which for me is a good thing, since I am always doing something else while the waffle is cooking. I love the variable heat setting too. That is a nice feature since I sometimes do dessert waffles which need less heat. I love the compact design. Its small enough to fit nicely into my cabinet. The cord has a nice place to tuck into to keep it from damage. As for its ability to make waffles, its excellent. It makes beautiful, fluffy, classic style Belgian waffles. I have been using it every weekend since I purchased it about a month ago, and every time my waffles come out perfect. My waffler has turned out to be one the appliances in my kitchen that gets regular use, and has become a favorite kitchen toy. The price is great too. Not too expensive and such a quality product. I also own the villa ware pizzelle maker and have had it for years without any problems. I recommend this waffler to anyone out there looking for a good waffler and cant make a decision. You wont be disappointed. "Great!", I bought this one because Amazon's good review. This is the third belgian waffle maker I purchased. Other two were Waring belgian waffle maker. The first Waring belgian waffle maker could not flip any more. The second Waring belgian waffle maker suddenly quit working within a year. I have been using this VillaWare belgian waffer maker for a month. It makes a good waffle as good as Waring. It browns both sides. I am very satisfied. I hope it will last longer than Waring. "Enjoying the waffles", We're happy with the VillaWare Waffler. It makes a nice, deep waffle just like you get from the makers that you turn over, but the VillaWare is very compact and easy to store. Storage size was important to us. The previous comments to start out cooking the waffle on #7 setting were very helpful. Ours turned out well from the very first waffle. My son let's his go another 45 seconds to get an even crispier product. We also bought the Golden Malted mix. One batch makes 3 nice waffles. We add a couple of capsful of vanilla extract for extra flavor. This waffler was a good purchase for our family. Thanks to the previous reviewers. They helped us decide and it turned out well. "No more pancakes", This is great, it cuts my cooking time in half. No more pancakes for me. Lets say if im making a batch of pancakes it takes me about 1 hour. With this thing in half an hour im done. The waffles taste the same if not better then the pancakes and you get a lot more crispy parts. The alarm signal is great, 4 beeps and get ready to pour or take out, for me a setting of 5 works great with any type of flower. Enjoy! "Nice Waffler", So far, so good. Purchased this one as a replacement for another VillaWare Waffler that wasn't as sturdy. Makes great waffles (setting between 6 and 7 for me on the dial). Don't make waffles all of the time, but look forward to them when I do. |
