"Excellent quality for the price" The quality and craftamanship of this product is outstanding by the price you pay , I highly recomend it "Sharp and fits in a drawer" It was time to replace an ancient flat grater - read the reviews and determined this was the best. It's sharp and fits in a drawer. The bonus was the little rectangle box with measurements on the side and a cover. Just right when a recipe calls for a 1/2 cup of grated cheese. Cheese that is freshly grated is so, so much better than what comes out of bag - that icky coating may keep the strands from sticking together, but it definitely affects the texture and taste. "Another OXO winner" At first I was a little skeptical because this grater is smaller than the traditional standing grater, but in reality you don't actually use that much surface area of a grater's face, and the compact size makes it easier to handle and store. I find a lot of OXO products to be best-of-breed (you'll have to pry my OXO peeler out of my cold dead hands!) and I'm adding this one to the list. "Excellent, well designed grater." I purchased this based on a review by Cooks Magazine. It is everything I need in a grater. First off, it grates very well. Beyond that it has some excellent design features. The handle is very comfortable to grip and the bottom ring keeps it secure on the counter top. It is very easy to clean as your hand with a sponge fits easily inside. The cup has a lid and is a handy addition for grating and then storing. The best thing is that the cup with its lid fits up inside the grater for storage. A real plus for people with limited space like me. This is my 3rd or 4th grater purchase and don't think I will need another one for a very long time. "sturdy and great quality" I am a huge fan of good grips products. Their quality is always great and they have great durability. This cheese grater is no exception...

What our customer's say! "OXO GRATER", LOTS OF SURFACE AREA. THE COLLECTOR IS A GREAT IDEA.Oxo Good Grips Box Grater "Much love for this grater", I love this grater. Each side has a different size grater on it, making it quite versatile, and the box that attaches underneath is very convenient. The box also comes with a lid to keep your unused grated substances fresh. The handle is soft and very comfortable to hold and both the bottom edges of the grater and of the measuring box are lined with rubber to prevent slipping. This is a fantastic grater and you certainly can't beat the price. I would highly recommend this to everyone. "Great Grater", There is nothing that I do not like about this grater. First it was bigger the I originally thought which is a plus because surface area is so important. Next I liked the catch container because clean up is minimal and you can even store items in it if necessary. The container even comes with a lid. The container stores up in the Grater to make storage minimal which is a great plus. I highly recommend it. Enjoy "Excellent", Excellent grater and grates the perfect amount each time without pulling a chuncks off. There is a nice measuring cup on the bottom if you need to measure for recipes. Read this reviews before You buy... "Very Handy to have", Oxo has once again priven how good its products are. The fact that it stands up on its own makes it very easy to use. The plastic container on the bottom is perfect for catching the grated carrot and even more perfect for storing the leftovers. "Best Box Grater Yet!", I purchased this product because it was recommended by America's Test Kitchen, a public television show produced by Cook's Illustrated magazine. It's easy to hold, easy to use, easy to clean, and easy to store. What more could I ask for? It's hard to beat OXO Good Grips products, and I wish I owned everything they make! The clear storage container (with non-slip ring, lid, and measurement markings) is a super feature. "Grateful;-)", Finally, the cheese doesn't haven't to be all over the friggin' place. Most of it does collect in the container. Takes some practice. Don't push so hard, and not so fast:-) I use it for making bread crumbs and shredding veggies. Does a great job on your knuckles, too, so be careful; it's real sharp. "Good concept, but imperfect", I like the little measuring tub on the bottom, but you still need a cutting board (or something else) under the grater, at least with hard cheese, because they flake off on the outside of the grater as well. Not a dealbreaking flaw, but a flaw nonetheless. I do like that it's on the flat side, so it can be easily stored and put in the diswasher, and the tub is easy to put on and take off. I"m going to use it for a soft cheese tonight, and I'll update my review if necessary. "Handy grater", Positives: grates well; face of grater is wider than usual; collection container fits well both in use and when stored in grater and has sealing lid. Negative: some of the food being grated (e.g. cheese) falls down the front of the grater, therefore outside of the collection container, necessitating use on cutting board or plate. |
