"Not a dinner set"
The saucers, cups, bowls and luncheon plates were fine. The dinner plates were a mess, a different design on one plate and ink smudges on the other 3. I ordered these as a replacement and now have a good set for 8 of luncheon plates, but not dinner plates.

"Great Set of Dinnerware"
I bought this set of dinnerware because I had several pieces of this pattern already (I have a "fruit" theme in my kitchen). The dishes are beautiful and I have no complaints. This is my third set of Corelle that I use for my everyday meals. Corelle is so durable with kids and grandkids around. I would have given this set 5 stars, but my set came with the 4 piece set of drinking glasses and the colors on the drinking glasses were quite faded and not at all like the color bands and fruit on the actual dishes. I bought 3 sets of 4 (service for 12) and 2 sets out of 3 had the faded looking glassware. One set was fine. It really was too much of a hassle to return the drinking glasses (and glasses don't last as long as dishes anyway). It doesn't appear as though the current set of dinnerware being offered comes with drinking glasses so perhaps this is a mute point.

"Abundance of family use, Great set except stoneware cups"
I bought these at a Corelle store 4 years ago. Third set of Corelle in family. Abundance wears well despite my fears that the larger pattern appliques in the cutting area of dinner plates would scratch or wear off -- no problem in several years daily use. I agree with other review that these are great for kids because this pattern has more of a lip or sloped edge to prevent food from rolling off the plate. Love the generous size of the soup bowls and lunch/salad plates too. However, stoneware cup handles easily crack off if dropped, so I would have preferred to have no cups or saucers; instead, a dessert plate option would have been preferable. [Are you listening Corelle?] But highly recommend to families and use with small kids!

"This set contains the 8.5" salad plates, not the small dessert plates"
I bought the blanks for this Corelle pattern many years ago at an outlet store. They still look virtually new and survive utensil marks VERY well. While my set does not have the fruit pattern on them, they are the same plates.

These plates have a fancier mold pattern than most other Corelle patterns. It adds a touch of elegance to the plates without the need of any additional adornment. I wish Corelle would bring this set out in both solid white and cream.

The 8.5" size salad plates that come with this set are the most used plates in our home. This 8.5" size is MUCH more versatile than the small 7" plate found in most of their sets.

I haven't yet found the perfect coupling of Corelle pieces in any of their sets. My ideal set would include the blanks for this set in a solid color. The pieces I would like to see in a 20 piece set would include four of each: dinner plates, 8.5 inch salad plates, soup/cereal bowls, 8.5 inch pasta bowls and 5.25 inch berry bowls. Forget the mug or coffee cup and saucer or glasses--these are generally not "Corelle" and are just junk.

I would like to see the Corelle company make what they make best and forget the addition of glasses and mugs unless they can improve the quality greatly over what they have been offering for years. With all the Corelle sets I have had in my kitchen, the mugs/cups and saucers were never used.

The fruit pattern on this set with the ecru background coupled with this mold design has classic appeal. The addition of the larger size salad plate makes this set a good choice--even if the cup and saucer get sent to Goodwill.



"Don't hesitate to buy this pattern"
I can't tell you how old these are now but must be at least 15 years old. I was just writing a bad review for the Chutney pattern I replaced these with and was so disappointed and decided to write a good review for these. Wish I would have stuck with the Abundance. I just got tired of looking at them and fell in love with the look of the Chutney. These are so much thicker and have held up great over the years. I would definately buy them again. I am still using them as extras all these years later. The plates are good sized. The newer patterns have smaller plates and also chip and break easily. I don't think I have ever broken one dish from Abundance. The glasses on the other hand didn't last more than 3 months so I would not buy those.
I have owned Corelle for 20 years and this is my favorite of the 3 patterns that I have had. I bought them when they first came out and they are still going strong.
