"LOVE LOVE LOVE my sewing machine"
This was a great machine at a fantastic price, and the shipping was out of this world crazy fast (and free!)!!! Great for beginning and medium knowledge seamstresses.

"ES 2000 sewing machine"
This is a fantastic machine!!! It cost less than if I had bought it locally & it shipped FAST. It has plenty of functions--utility & decorative stitches & 4 built-in buttonholes--and comes with lots of accessories, including special presser feet. It's easy to use (I'm a novice sewer). When you select the different stitches it tells you what presser foot you need, and the most common stitch length & width. It's easy to adjust & you won't go crazy trying to thread the machine. This is an excellent "first sewing machine"--it offers quality & versitility at a low price.

What our customer's say!

"Sew Far, Sew Good", So far, so good with this entry level machine.

This machine replaces an over thirty-years old "boat anchor" that had become quite sluggish in recent years. This machine is sold in big box retail outlets like Target, Kohls, and Costco, so it's a very basic machine good for simple projects and mending. It's perfect for my needs. I finished an apron on this machine and it handled the project quite nicely. The fabric was light weight calico - not overly challenging for the machine.

I will add to this review when I complete my next projects - some stuffed toys for young kinfolk and a PJs and robe set for my husband. The fabrics for these projects are heavier and may be more challenging. I'll come back and update my review.

"DANGEROUS!!!!!!!", DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE, IT IS TOO CHEAP. AND THE COMPUTER IS NOT PROGRAMMMED ACCURATELY.

Everything went well until I sewed the button hole. The computer had a mind of its own, and would go too far to the right. I stopped using it after 2 needles bent. Thank God they did not break off! Try a Janome instead. Remember, we get what we pay for. My life is worth more than this piece of junk.

"Great sewing machine for the price", I just purchased this machine for the little girl I teach sewing to and am jealous of how many features it offers and how nice it sews. I've recommended it to 7 of my friends and family and all love how well it handles thin and thick fabrics alike. This is really a great machine.

"A simple, efficient machine", This machine came with a very easy-to-follow setup instruction. It's been over 10 years since I used a sewing machine last time, yet I was able to start using the machine in no time.

I've been having trouble with getting the thread tension balanced between upper and lower thread, with occasional E-6 error and skipped stitches for the zig-zag pattern. Wondered if it is a machine defect and got a replacement, but same problem on the new one. It appears that this tension problem occurs to me only when I try to sew stretch-able materials, such as cloth from a fitted cotton T-shirt.

The machine has been working fine for a regular cotton and fleece type of cloths. Giving 4 stars overall as a easy entry level machine.

"Who's telling the truth?", It really defeats the purpose of the reviews if they are not from confirmed purchasers of the product, don't you agree? This seems like any easy thing to address. It would certainly be more useful and helpful.

I am very frustrated by the reviews-especially the ones by PLEIN JANE, for example. SHE HAS REVIEWED 3 DIFFERENT MACHINES, and HER STORIES DON'T ADD UP.

How many REVIEWERS are just plants?

I don't own this machine: I am shopping. I really want a new machine, but I don't know where to get reliable info .

"So far, so good", I've had my machine for less than a month, so do not yet have extensive experience with it. However, I have found it to be super-easy to use and I like it a lot so far. For the price, it certainly seems to be a good machine. A couple small criticisms: the light could definitely be brighter--and unless I leave a lot of thread through the needle, it tends to come unthreaded.

"great machine", This is a great machine-very easy to use. I am a beginner and was up and sewing in no time. Very pleased!

"Easiest Sewing in the World", This sewing machine is SOOOO awesome...my 11 year old daughter simply read the manual and she understood it completly!she hasn't had any problems with it yet that she couldnt figure out on her own! It's so easy to use and it comes with many many useful tools and features that most sewing machines that are more expensive than this one don't have...it uses very advanced technology!!!I love this sewing machine and recommend it for anyone who loves sewing!

"Brother ES2000", Just what I asked for - Received on time and in perfect shape.
Thanks
Works like a dream

"Excellent machine - no matter the skill level!", I bought this machine as a substitute for an heirloom Singer. I had some hesitation with a machine that was computerized because I'm very accustomed to the standard knob and dial machines. Overall this is a great piece of equipment.

Advantages: Great manual, it will tell you how to do almost everything you'd like to do with the machine. Numerous accessories, several feet, bobbins, and other standard sewing pieces come courtesy of Brother. The ease of switching feet, the automatic threader (which, not to be misleading, you still have to manually wind the thread through the machine, this model comes with an arm that pulls the thread through the needle for you - hence the name). The drop-in bobbin. Goes through most fabrics readily, including double and triple folded materials. One of the quietest motors I've ever worked with. Easy to trouble shoot.

Disadvantages: You can only use the bobbin model that comes with the machine, it won't accept any other kinds. The dome light is very dim. It takes some getting used to the computerized buttons, and it is overly sensitive to you manually poking around. When I first turned on the machine I was checking out the needle and physically pushed it, to which the LED display immediately flashed an E6 warning. I also didn't fully understand I had to wind the bobbin thread all the way through either, it resulted in terrible tension control during my first project. You may be trouble shooting a lot until you get to used to the machine. But the majority of the time the problems are simple and once fixed you'll never have that problem again.
