"Nice looking/thin metal"
This double boiler is fine if you use it occasionally. It looks nice, the price was reasonable, but the metal is somewhat thin. I like the set, but I will purchase something a little more durable for my use. I cook all the time at home and in the workplace, and value my equipment. I definitely need something of a work horse but this is a fine addition to a home that cooks occasionally.

"Great Buy for Restaurant use"
This double boiler is just what we needed at the restaurant to cook and hold our grits in during normal business hours. We're short on space, so this worked out well. Lastly, the price is awesome when considering equipment costs. I'd recommend this product for home, personal, or commercial use.

What our customer's say!

"Double Toiler", I never used a real double-boiler before, always just placing a smaller pot into the boiling water of a larger one. I bought this item to try to cook in a more civilized manner. Well, maybe it's me, but I can't seem to get it to cook at all. I experimented with the lower pot's water low, high, medium, and the same with the flame. But the sauce in the smaller pot remains cold.

The DB spits water all over the stove, even at the lowest water/flame level. Not so civilized after all.

The silver lining is that I now have two saucepans and one lid that I did not have before. I am sure they will come in handy.

"Thin Steel, But Hey, It's Cheap!", The steel on this double boiler is very thin, almost like tin... But for occasional use it's a good value.

"double boiler review", This gets the job done...I use it for soap melting, however it is lighter than I expected. I would have liked it to be a bit more substantial

"You get what you paid", The item arrived in time..no complains about the seller..it is a very good seller but the product!!! Definitly true..you get what you paid...made in china...very thin metal, the double boiler works butr it is made with cheap materials. don't thing is goig to last is very thin.

"Just as advertised", It's a little on the smaller side, depending on what you want to use it for, but that's what is described. I've used this to melt chocolate, create confections for chocolate covered cherries, and even steam broccoli. This is a terrific addition to any kitchen.
