"Works great, until it breaks", This masher worked great the few times I used it, then the handle came off while I was using it the other day. I don't think I even used it a half dozen times. I guess you get what you pay for. Not recommended.

"Trusty Potato Masher", I really love this potato masher. Its handle size and shape make mashing quick and easy. Also, the metal grate at the bottom is welded, not glued, to the upper section. That's important for a few reasons. 1) This masher won't fall apart. Glue tends to give out after a few years of use. If you take good care of this masher, it could last twenty or thirty years. 2) Glue will leave tiny spaces between the pieces of metal and it'll be impossible to dig all the food out of those tiny cracks.

This masher is basic, but very reliabe. It's also small and compact for easy storage.
