I love this roaster. I have always used the old "speckled" roaster as my mother did. I got tired of the onions on top of the roast burning when I cooked for over 3 hours and things drying out etc. Now, everything is nice and moist and tender. Nothing burns and even the cheaper cuts of meat end up tender from being able to steam as they should. I am thinking about buying the next bigger size. I have been cooking for a long time. I wish I had found this roaster sooner.

"Some Things Never Change!"
My mother-in-law gave my husband and I our Magnalite Classic Roaster when we got married. She loves her's so much and she is an amazing cook! I've enjoyed mine just as much, so when our daughter got engaged several months ago, I ordered the Magnalite Roaster to give her as a shower gift! Everything I've cooked in my roaster, from roasts to soups to spaghetti sauces turn out wonderful!

"Best cookware on the market!"
My mother always used Guardian Service cookware, bought back in the early 1950's, which was the ultimate in cookware then, also being cast aluminum. I inherited her cookware (which they no longer make) but not until I had already purchased a Magnalite set, which is the closest match to the Guardian Service. It is true waterless cooking. Easy clean up. I never had to "season" mine first (that's usually only done with cast iron cookware) and I've had most of my Magnalite pieces for 30 years. A 15 lb turkey fits in the 15" roaster and I get raves every Thanksgiving . . . the roaster practically makes it's own dark, rich gravy and the turkey meat is so moist! To me, as a devoted family "chef", nothing on the market can beat Magnalite.

Magnalite roasters are the best ones out there. I can't imagine roasting anything from turkey's to hams without these great roasters. Buy one and say good-bye to dry meals!!! I also have the Magnalite Classic 18-Inch Oval Covered Roaster and it's wonderful too. Nice to have both sizes!

Magalite has the best pots/pans and cook very well. This roaster is perfect for turkeys or a couple of roasts.
