"Good Value" For the money, this iron is a good value. My only complaint is that the surface is not very smooth, thereby making ironing a bit more difficult. The shot of steam is great - the best of any iron I have owned. "Great iron, good price" Bought this for my son, who is off to college and has to have pressed uniforms every day. Easy to use and does the job. "Do not, repeat, do not waste your money" What a complete piece of *&^%. It's taking $40 and throwing it in the trash. Water runs, the steam comes through the handle and burns you. The "buttons" pop out. By the time you try and get a refund you might as well forget it. I've been an Amazon customer for years, this is a total disappointment. "Great Iron" I have had nothing but joy of ironing with this iron. Gets hot, great steam features! Makes ironing quick and easy. I had family come into town that used the iron and stated, "This is the best iron I have ever used!". No leaking and love the auto turn off feature. "I guess digital not for me." Iron worked great for 3 days and the the digital display went bonkers the iron stopped producing heat. the base was heating up instead of the plate. I was very disappointed. The iron had every feature except the electric cord internal storage. I shipped it back for free and got my money back in a couple weeks. Then I went out and bought it's sister without the digital display. this one leaks water from the cap for the reservoir, but works great other than that. Good luck with your purchase.

What our customer's say! "Iron Not Holding up", I've owned this iron for about six months. It replaced a T-Fal iron that was failing (but I liked a lot) and decided to try the Sunbeam. for the first five months or so it was a great iron. The temperature was great and so was the burst of steam. I've begun to notice though over the past few weeks that it now longer has that great burst of steam and it just doesn't seem to be getting/staying as hot as it did. Also, like Mande noted in their review, it is now dripping. I've tried several things and it still drips. I could get by with the slightly lower burst of steam and the slightly lower temperature, but the dripping is causing me to go out and shop for another iron that hopefully won't drip all the time like this Sunbeam. "Sunbeam Steam Iron", This is the worse steam iron I have ever owned. From the very beginning it leaked. It was very slow to heat up and very difficult to fill with water. I ended up throwing it out and buying a different brand which I am very satisfied with. "Loved it until it malfunctioned", I purchased this iron about four months ago after reading all the positive reviews. It worked fabulously and exceeded all my expectations until recently. It gave off a burning odor, it burnt the item I was ironing, the settings started jumping around and the iron made a loud popping noise. I immediately unplugged it and called customer service. They said I should not use it again and that I would be receiving a replacement in two to three weeks. "SOLEPLATE NOT SMOOTH", I LIKE THE IRON WITH ONE EXCEPTION. THE SOLEPLATE HAS A COATING THAT KEEPS THE IRON FROM SLIDING SMOOTHLY. A SMOOTH SOLE PLATE WOULD HAVE MADE THE IRON A MUCH BETTER IRON. IT TAKES LONGER TO IRON BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO PUSH A LITTLE HARD TO MAKE IT SLIDE. "Professional Sunbeam iron", I am very pleased with the performance of this iron. It is very easy to learn how to use.Sunbeam 4238 Professional Iron It arrived in a matter of 3 days, which was even a better, since my old iron stopped working. 
Read this reviews before You buy... "Claude R", Sunbeam 4238 Professional Iron Great buy. Performance comparable to much more expensive irons I've owned, and with better durability. This is my second Sunbeam Professional. First one lasted more than 15 months, and likely would have lasted much longer but I dropped that one. Iron drips a bit more than I'd like, but still a very good product. "Best Iron Ever!!", I just have to say that we baught this iron for our Dental office, where we do our laundry ourselves, of uniforms and lab coats. This is the 3rd iron that was baught due to the others leaking and would not get hot enough to get the wrinkles out. After using this iron at work for the past 8 months, I am purchasing one for my home TODAY!! I am sick of my iron not standing up to the quality of the 4238. So as of today, I will be enjoying my very own Sunbeam 4238! "sunbeam 4238, love this iron", I absolutely love this iron. There has been no dripping, it does not drag on the clothes while in use. The steam works great. Clothes ironing goes very quickly. If there was one thing I could however change about it, that would be that when you chose your setting that it would remain there each time it was turned off also rather than each time it is turned on having to set the iron temperature again. Also the digital settings are difficult to see for those of us older. I hate having to put my reading glasses on just to see which setting I have it on. "Best", This is THE best iron - no Rowenta I have ever had (5) is this good! "Great iron", This iron is wonderful. Has a lot of steam and heats quickly. It was a great choice. |
