"Very Cool", I just installed this and put my knives on, so I guess I'm not quite the expert. It was very easy to install and seems very sturdy. Before I put my knives on, I really pulled on it and it wouldn't budge. I put a longer screw into a stud on one side, and the other side just has the screw it came with. I was able to fit an 8-inch chef's knife, 10 1/2-inch bread knife, 7-inch santoku knife, cheese knife, my sharpening steel, and my kitchen scissors. I'm ordering another one right now because I have a strong urge to hang all my utensils up!

Cons:
-Actual measurement of the magnetic strip is just a little bit more than 13 inches. You may wish it is 6 inches longer. It can comfortably hold around 5 knives side by side
-I have this only for 3 months. Will it rust? It did not say it is stainless steel.

"great, but not what I ordered", Great kitchen item, magnet is just right strength, but I ordered a wooden one and got shiny metal. I'm happy with the product but would give the seller a much lower rating.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Won't stay on the wall", This thing works ok, strong magnet, not hard to install etc. Once it is up though the little tabs on the side will not stay put so the thing always falls off. Not too safe when you are dealing with a bar covered with knives.

"Prodcuct works really great but mounting was a challenge", Love the item, but I thought it mounted on the refrigerator and was magnetic on both sides.
Unfortunately, no directions were included as to how to put the screws in. It was very interesting to figure out how the mounting works. I found out the end caps slip in, so the screws are hidden. You must carefully set the screws into the wood exactly right. One end cap supports the weight of this product, not both ends. The other end just holds it in place.
The way it is mounted holds the item just fine; it was just trying to figure out how to do it that was the challenge.

"VERY USEFUL", I GOT THIS YESTERDAY AND I PUT IT ON THE WALL, REALLY HOLDS MY 6 HEAVY KNIVES!!!THE ONLY THING IS THAT TOOK MORE TIME TO ARRIVE THAN THE OTHER STUFF I GOT

"Great Item", If you're looking for a cheap and simple knife storage solution this is it. Took all of 10 seconds to put up and it holds my knives perfectly. Not too weak and doesn't take a hard yank to remove.

"A snap to install and works great", This bar was very easy to install on my wall (Actulally and old chimney) with the included hardware. I used a masonary bit in my drill and, poof. it was up. Holds the knives with a strong magnetic grip with no fears of them coming off with out a strong tug.
