"Very good for large knives and for steak knives", I bought this as well as the Henckel one. It is much easier to get the shorter knives out of this one than out of the Henckel because you can grab the knives more easily. Also, the large knives rest better in this model than in the Henckel one because of the gaps (the Henckel one has a solid, triangular block and the knives have a tendency to wiggle left to right a little.) I think both models are good but I would rather buy this one again.

"Does the job", I bought the large and small versions to put in a 25 inch wide drawer for all our knives. Good quality. Good finish. Keeps all knives handy and better than the counter-top knife blocks we were using.

"Works prefectly", The tray I received was much lighter than the tray pictured. However, the one I received compliments the color of the inside of the drawer nicely. It's a nice solid well built knife tray. The only problem I've had with it is that it tends to slide towards the back of the drawer when I close the drawer. I'll need to get some rubber feet or put a piece of rubber drawer liner underneath it to keep it from sliding around.

"spacing wide", The spacing for the large knifes was wider than for the small knifes so they didn't fit as securely. I have a Hinkle holder which I like better. I got this one since it holds a few more knifes. The picture of this knife holder, on website, didn't show from the top, so the spacing didn't appear unusual. The picture is more from the side.

"A pleasant surprise", We had a dedicated knife drawer in the Wood-Mode cabinets at our previous house. The drawer had a beautiful maple slab with slits for each knife and a fitted mat to cushion the handles. Nice, but a waste of space and ridiculously expensive. When we moved to downsize we got the Mundial unit. We were amused to see that the Mundial knife tray stored the same number of knives in less than 1/3 of the space, is just as easy to access and the cost is around 5% of what Wood-Mode charge. The quality and finish are excellent.

"Mundial Solid Wood knife storage tray", All in all - this is a wonderful product which keeps the knifes nicely separated with handles at the ready and fits in a drawer. I don't like anything unnecessary on my countertops or blocks which collect dust...so again - perfect. The wood is smooth and nicely finished...all around great product.

"Fits in drawer", New kitchen drawers are very shallow and this tray was one of a very few that would fit. It also held more knives than most other trays.

"keeping knifes safe and in order", The storage tray keeps the knives in the drawer in tidy and safe manner. They do not bang around and damage one another. In the past I have use a magnetic strip which limits the number of knifes and can be unsafe, and I have had a block which is both unsanitary and hard to see what knife you are accessing. My only complaint is that I wish the tray were slightly larger because I have a couple move knifes but not enough for the super size model.

"Uncooperative drawers", Nice construction and finish. Works as advertised. The only problem is that low height drawers will not permit taller knives like a Santoku to fit. I'm not prepared to sacrifice one of my few deeper drawers for my knives yet so this product may be limited in its applications.

Otherwise it works as intended... keeping my knives away from my cats and keeping the sharp edges away from blindly groping fingers.
