"A warning" This isn't so much a review of the knife as it is of the user. If you are not used to using high quality knives like this, you may want to think twice. As the other reviewer has stated 'it's not a knife, it's a big razor blade', I found this to be true the hard way. I was slicing an onion and 'touched' my fingertip with the edge of the blade, and I nearly cut all the way through. Almost no pressure was involved. It scared me terribly and resulted in a trip to the hospital. No stitches, thankfully, but I did get a pressure dressing. Since then my finger has knit together. I can see clearly where it also cut though my fingernail. These knives are simply TOO sharp for the average uninformed consumer. The fault lies with me for not taking the other reviews seriously. I've never encountered something so dire before. So be careful. If you are like my husband, who likes these knives because of their weight and construction, these may be for you. But if you are looking for a shortcut for dicing up onions or other lightweight tasks - get something else. "My wife loves these Knifes" My wife loves these knives, they very light for her to use and she is happy with them. "Extremely sharp and comfortable" My wife wanted these knives for a while. I surprised her with them recently. We both think they are terriific. The blades are as sharp as scalpels and the OZI sharpener we added to the order is a remarkable device. It put a razor sharp edge on all of our older knives much better than the electric sharpener we have been using for a few years. All in all - well work the investment. Be sure to hand wash and dry to avoid any blade wear and potential for rust. Highly recommended! "verry nice, but.." This knifes are great, but as i work with them in the kithen i noticed that are to short..i will probably get the 10 inchi one.. when chopping a lot of stuf at once bigger is better. Never the less nice blade. "Prompt delivery" The knife set was a gift I bought for my daughter. The delivery was fast and it was package very well.

What our customer's say! "perfect", I love these knifes. I don't cook everyday but when I do these make my life a lot easier. I don't need 12 different kinds so I was happy to see this set of two. The grip is very comfortable, it's nice and lightweight. I'm know the other reviewers have talked about the sharpness. I love how sharp they are, thats he whole point right? "Fantastic Knives", These knives are a pleasure. My parents bought me my first 'good' knife about 6 months ago, and finally decided to take the plunge for this pair. The small one is even great for my nine year old daughter. "Good knife set, but watch for mislabeling", I was sent a mislabled Gusto Grip set instead. These are very nice in that they have a rubber grip. I would have prefered the coppertail ones, as they match the decor of our kitchen, but the ones I received are great! "Marvelous Knives", I love these knives. They are exceptionally sharp and will even slice freshly baked bread without mashing it down. Veggies are like butter. I would urge you to put these in your knife collection. But, then again, you may not use the old ones at all!! "Wonderful!", Bought these as a gift and the recipient loves them! They make quick work of chopping up your veggies. 
Read this reviews before You buy... "Excellent knives!", This is my first set of really nice knives, everything else I've bought was a $15 WalMart special. I can't imagine that any of the other top end knives could be better than these though. Potatos, squash and all of the things I used to hate slicing and dicing are an absolute joke now! The knives have a good feel to them, are well balanced, and clean very easily. And there is no problem holding on to the steel handle with wet hands so you don't need Rachael Ray's Gusto grip handles if your not into orange. I bought the Ozitech diamond finger sharpener instead of the techedge pro sharpener, it works great and was MUCH cheaper. "Amazing!!", My husband has been in the kitchen chopping up anything and everything he can since I got him these Knives! They are truly amazing. I would recommend Furi products to anyone who enjoys cooking and can appericate a good quality knife. We plan on expanding our Furi cutlery collection! "Sharp & comfy", I finally got sick of my tired old knives and after reading the reviews I bought these and am very happy with them thus far. I also purchased the Furi Ozitech Diamond Fingers Pro Knife Sharpener which gives these knives a super sharp edge. I'm planning on happily chopping and slicing with these knives for a long time. "Good Knifes for the Price", Love these! They are comfy in my hand, much better than my Global knife. They have a good weight, a nice edge and you can use them for everything. I will say my Global has a finer, sharper edge...but these are better when doing a lot of cutting, since they are so well fitted to the hand. "Fine Cutting Instruments", I selected this product after reviewing other reviews and comparing specifications online. I was very pleased with the quality, and the balance of these knives. The cutting of salad greens, and thin slicing meats, is clean and without tearing the product. The bamboo presentation box is not the quality equal to the knives, but makes a nice place to store them. I also compared the price with other brands and found these knives to be better in quality, and less in price to others of known brands. To have two good knives in your kitchen, will allow the cook to enjoy the process of preparing. |
