"Pretty good fan for the money"
This is a pretty good fan for the money. I got it to create airflow in an old bathroom that has no electrical outlets. It works pretty well for that purpose. I am not sure how much cooling power it would deliver during a power outage in a hot climate because I don't use it for that purpose. My only complaint about the fan is that, because it requires 8 "D" batteries to operate, it's bulky and heavier than you might imagine. All in all, it works for the purpose for which I bought it.

"BUY THE MODEL WITH THE METAL HINGES!!!!!!!!!"
The hinges broke on mine too. The hinges hold on the base of the fan (which is the stand for the fan too) and is also the battery holder. Now I really can't use the fan unless I tape it shut and hang it from something. Only opened a few times, I think 3 times. Didn't send mine back, I'm going to try to rig it so it will work, don't want to go through all the hassle of returning it, besides I don't have the box's it came in now anyway. Fan does seem to put out a good airflow. I've been looking at other reviews and there's another model that has metal hinges that's much more durable than this one.

"GREAT and NOT SO GREAT"
POSITIVES: Very portable and compact. Pushes as much air as I expected.

NEGATIVES: The fan rattles against the cover which is annoying. Takes 8 D batteries

"Batter Powered Fan Rocks"
I bought this fan to taking on a tent camping trip. I thought I might get a little breeze from a battery operated fan, but not much. I was SO delightfully surprised to find out that it is really as powerful as any electrical fan on the market.
Great job - buy one!!!!

"Convenient"
Bought this for camping. Haven't used it with batteries yet but it worked well plugged in. I like having the ability of using a fan without electricity because we often camp at campgrounds without electric. I'm happy with my purchase but could have probably found it cheaper if I shopped in local stores because it should be a popular summer item.

What our customer's say!

"Save Your Money!", Don't waste your money on this fan, even if they were giving it away for free! You can wave your hand and get a bette breeze then you get from this fan. I read the review and bought two. You get what you pay for. A tissue doesn't move if you put it about 3 feet away from the fan at high speed.

"Way too Big", I was surprised to see how big this fan was and it took 8 "D" Batterys.
I returned it and found a much smaller version with 2 speeds and only takes 2 "D" batterys. I was loking for a fan for my desk at work.

"Cool", I purchased this for my son who is serving in the Marines in Iraq. The power goes out a few times a week and in 100+ degree weather can make life very uncomfortable. He loves this fan and its battery powered capability. He says it works great and makes the weather more tolerable.
He is enjoying it because it is powerful and quiet.

"Closet", Placed in my walk in closet, and works great, big enough to do the job small enough not to take up a lot of space

"Perfect for office.", Very quiet, sturdy, actually has FOUR speeds!
Small enough to put in obscure place.
Good value! Very pleased!

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Ditto most reviews...a Piece of Sh..unk", Down here in Puerto Rico it costs $19.99 at Walgreen's. The very same day I bought it the battery compartment hinges broke with the slightest pressure. I had to return it. Novel idea, though, they should make it stronger.

"Piece of junk", I bought one for use while working in cramped spaces. Opened it up to put the batteries in and the plastic hinges broke. Returned it thinking I had just gotten a bad one and lo and behold the "new" one did the same thing. What an utter sheer waste of time and materials in the manufacture of this product.Save your twenty bucks and look elsewhere.

"Junk", This fan sells for $13 at Wal-Mart without A/C adapter. I bought one. The hinges holding the battery compartment to the rest of the fan broke in half the first time I opened the fan to put batteries in. I returned it to Wal-Mart, got a second fan and the same thing happened on the second fan. I will look elsewhere for something that will actually work.

"Puts out a good breeze", This is a good fan - puts out a good breeze.

"utter piece of garbage", drains batteries like no tomorrow. Doesnt even last the night. Used it once and never bothered again had to buy another fan.
