Others say...
"Minimal versatility" I was hoping to use this product as an aide for my children in the kitchen...but have found that it is difficult for even myself to use. The holder does work well on certain handles but not at all universal. I have only a few saute pans and the like and two of which are not cool handle. The holder works well on one but not the other in that there is minimal flexibility with the holder thus requiring you to hold in a specific way making it very difficult to adjust for cooking. "How did my kitchen live without this Pothandle Holder?" Silicone has to be the best invention to hit the kitchen in decades! After seasonally replacing my potholders due to stains, burns, and washings, I was quite happy to start using this silicone pothandle holder. It is SO AMAZING and so ergonomically designed that I would not do without it. First off, the pothandle holder completely protects all four of my fingers with my thumb resting on the top. The grooved ridges inside help ensure a tigher fit and non-slip when lifting and gripping handles. The small curvature on both ends also protects fingertips from burns. It washes up like new in either the sink or the dishwasher, it holds its shape, and looks modern in a kitchen. Best of all, since it washes clean should it get dirty, it helps you to keep a more sanitary kitchen. Some people have complained on here that is was small, so I was expecting a smaller pothandle holder, but in fact it's plenty big. If you did want something bigger, just do a searh for MIU France on Amazon and you will see that they do offer the silicone full size potholders at a very affordable price. "Decent product, could have been bigger. Not made in France" Having only used the product a few times yet, my review is more of a first-glance nature. The product is decent in terms of doing what it is advertised to do: holding pots and lids. However, most of our cookware features stay-cool handles and the use I really wanted to get out of this product was to move stuff around the hot oven without having to go through the whole oven mitt routine. Had this thing been a little bit bigger, it would have made for a really versatile product that would have been useful both in the oven and on the stovetop. One other thing you might care about. While I understand some of us in this country want to rename French Fries to Freedom Fries, it is still a fact that some of the best Silicone stuff is made in France. I find it somewhat deceptive that Amazon is not clarifying that this Miu FRANCE product is actually made in, where else?, CHINA!! Call me a snob if you want to, but this changes the value perception of the product in my mind. I suggest Amazon add a clear "MADE IN CHINA" tagline somewhere in the description. "Love these for big soup pots (and others) with "ear" handles and/or lids--or paired with an Orca silicone mitt." No pot holder does it all, but this may well have a place in your kitchen. This design is worth cosidering because of several special features: * non-absorbent material means you never have to worry about stains OR wetness conducting heat * design works especially well with "ear" shaped handles, or the helper handle on a large saute pan * excellent for use as a "pusher/grabber" with an Orca mitt to remove a large item from the oven without burning the "inside" hand--use the Orca mitt on the INSIDE hand, of course... * handy to leave atop the cover of a large pot simmering on the stovetop... This is not only handy, it's cute. Since I received them as gifts, I have several colors. My favorite is the red, because it's hard to lose. "Pothandle holder" Works great, keeps you from getting burned when handling hot pot handles. Would love to see it made a little bit bigger though.

What our customer's say! "Effective, but too small", I find I must be very careful about finger placement before moving any hot things around because the moment I am not paying attention is the one where I burn myself. My hands are rather small, too, so anyone with regular or large hands might want to look around for a bigger set. The concept is great, and they do prevent heat transfer. "Disappointed in silcone pothandle holder", Fully realizing that it's always Buyer Beware---- I was disappointed to see how small the product is. Yes, the dimensions were listed. My bad for not noticing them. My complaint: I have average sized female hands. I couldn't safely lift out a tray of muffins since the pad wouldn't accommodate more than fingers on the pan. And yes, I MIGHT have bought two (suggested) but didn't think I needed two. My suggestions: Put a coin next to the image to make sure the buyer realizes how small they are. If you're a man with larger hands, the pad is definitely too small. If you're a senior citizen and need more support lifting a hot casserole from the oven---- DO NOT BUY THIS PAD. Even having two wouldn't help because by the time you removed the casserole out far enough to use the second pad---- the casserole might be on the floor! "Love These PotHolders!", These work great for everything, especially cast iron frying pans and Le Creuset french Ovens! Store well on my oven handle! (get two) "Great for use in combination with another holder", This holder is very good to get big pans or metal handle pots without the risk or burning yourself or the pot slipping through your hand, but they either should come in pairs or accompanied by a mitt or another holder. By itself is mostly useless as being so thick and small, you cannot get the appropriate grasp to hold a big put or pan in your hand, the way you do with a towel For that I give it four stars, but it is a great product "Great product", I love this thing. Fantastic for lids that have handles (I do not have lids that have knobs) and to pull baking sheets that are not too heavy out of the oven. My mother used it at my house and asked me to get her two for her own kitchen. ![]()
