"Poor reliability, bad warranty service" This unit made great coffee...for not quite 6 months. Called Hamilton Beach warranty department - to get a replacement you must do the following: Write a snail-mail letter describing the problem, cut off the end of the cord and mail along with a check for $9.95 to their service center. Some warranty...I'm not impressed. "Lasted for only 1 year!" I loved this Brewstation Deluxe and used it daily for about a year with great results, but then it started leaking coffee out of the bottom. I wasn't able to find the source of the leak. Then, it quit brewing a full cycle. I'd fill it to make a full pot, and it would shut off and stop brewing after brewing only 2 cups. And on top of those problems, the clock stopped working! I gave up on it and threw it in the garbage. "LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!" We absolutely love this coffee maker. Haven't had any issues with it yet. I've had it for a few weeks now. No leaking at all. Fairly quick brew (and we only have used it on Flavor+ so far). Plus it's so fun to use! Definitely recommend this coffee maker. "Makes coffee, sometimes leaks" This coffee maker makes good coffee, is attractive sitting on the counter, and conveniently dispenses coffee. However, 1 1/2 years after purchase with daily use it now leaks coffee onto the countertop and will have to be replaced. I have replaced the washer inside, but that did not solve the problem. You may want to look elsewhere and spend your money wisely. "Stands Out Above Similar Priced Machines" I purchased the BrewStation a few weeks ago and have been very impressed with its performance. The biggest difference is the water temperature - this machine gets the water to near perfect temp while brewing which helps bring out the right flavor of coffee. I really like not having a pot to worry about. The delivery mode, a push button style, is hard to get used to but it works just fine. One improvement would be in how water is introduced as it is clumsy filling up the reservoir and pouring it into the basin. This is a great buy. Next step would be a machine from Starbucks at around $100 or so.

What our customer's say! "WONDERFUL", So glad I bought this thing. I have used it daily since I bought it nearly 2 years ago and it is still going strong. I'm a big coffee fan and in my humble opinion, this brews great coffee. I also think it's one of the more stylish out there too. The only (minor) faults might be that the main reservoir for the brewed coffee has a lot of little ridges and corners, making it difficult to clean and is also not able to be put into a dishwasher. Other than that, perfect! "Hamilton Beach Brew Station", I would prefer a regular filter instead of the gold'the pot seams to brew very slowly not as fast as my old Hamilton Brew station would not buy again need to have a replacment filter so you can make a choice.like to use paper filters it is less messy "The concept is cool, but...", We bought one of these for our parents and one for ourselves. The coffee has never quite tasted "great". If you don't use filters over the filter in the coffee maker, then grinds get through. And the coffee comes out super hot...and I mean hot! I usually put an ice cube in before drinking it. Speaking of which, this machine does have an option to make iced coffee. I used it twice. It's not very good. It ends up tasting like watered-down, luke-warm coffee. When you add more ice to the already watered-down, luke-warm coffee, you end up with coffee flavored water. Yuck! You have to hand wash the parts. There's not a carafe that you can just stick in the dishwasher. The top part is not dishwasher safe. If you do stick it in the dishwasher (happened to a friend of ours), it will eventually alter the shape of the "carafe" (or whatever you call that top part) and ruin the heating element in the bottom of this "carafe". Both of the coffee makers had problems with the spout not closing and water spilling out everywhere. My parents had to buy a replacement part for it. I'm just going to buy a new coffeemaker and hope that there is better out there. "Have used for over a year!!", I purchased this at Bed & Bath over a year ago for my office. It has been BEAT UP by myself and colleagues, making some days 3 pots of coffee a day. The dispenser the brew time all of it are great! I wish I could shut off the auto-off feature, but I appreciate the safety mindedness of having it in place. THis is a well-built unit that has certainly been worth the money and has served me well. "hamilton beach coffee pot", This is my second one. I also bought one each for my 4 children I just love the fact , that their is no pot to clean... 
Read this reviews before You buy... "Fabulous Coffee Maker!", I purchased the Hamilton Beach Brewstation Deluxe when our former Brewstation began consistently leaking after several years of daily use. We've always loved how the Brewstation keeps coffee fresh-tasting, even when it has been sitting for hours! The Deluxe is even better than the original. I set it at night so that my coffee is ready when I wake up in the morning, and can program the warmer for 2 hours, 3 hours, or 4 hours. No more microwaving coffee to warm it up! The design is much better on this one too, as it takes up a bit less counter space. Best of all, Amazon had a great price! I highly recommend it. "Not worth it!", We have bought this coffee machine twice now and they both developed the exact same problem. The pots LEAKED within the year. The first time it happened we thought it might have just been a fluke and since we liked it we replaced it with the same model. Unfortunately it was not a fluke but a flaw within the product. A friend of ours also bought the same one after our high recommendation only to have the same thing happen to her in less than a year too. Although we think it produces a good hot cup of coffee it DOES NOT LAST. Now we are in the market again for our third coffee pot in 2 years. Save your money!! "Fantastic", My wife absolutely loves this coffee maker, she broke the carafe on out Black and Decker model so we purchased this one because it has no carafe. We love the flavor of the coffee from 1st cup to last, keeps it just right tempurature wise, does not boil coffee, so no bitter taste. "great coffee maker overall", Coffeemaker is as advertised- I'm very happy with it. Purchased to replace a coffeemaker that took up way too much counter space. This maker is more compact although taller than my older maker. I like the iced coffee capability. Not crazy about the blinding blue light! Also, the permanent basket is a good idea but a pain to clean out. I ended up putting paper filters into the basket anyway to make cleaning easier. Makes good coffee. "No replacement filters", Be careful with your filter. There are absolutely no replacement filters that will fit this model. The filter listed on HB's web site does not fit this model. A call to Hamilton Beach informed us that there are no filters for it at all. Now we have a $70 paperweight. |
