"Hamilton Beach 47114 BrewStation", Purchased my BrewStation on-line May 4, 2008. It was delivered promptly and in good condition on May 7, 2008. I had experience with the BrewStation previously because two of my relatives had one. The very first coffee made was just like I remembered - very good. The convenience of filling my cup straight from the BrewStation without a carafe or external hotplate is great. However, this one had a defect. The coffee was hot when first made but it did not continue to keep the coffee hot. I contacted Hamilton Beach just like the warranty instructed and for $7.95 they are sending me a new one. My disappointment is that I am out the $7.95 for their defective item because they do not have a repair facility where I live. I still like the BrewStation and am looking forward to the replacement that will stay hot for the full 2 hours.

"Best Coffeemaker out there!!", As someone who has always swore by Bunn coffeemakers, the BrewStation ranks right up there as far as I am concerned!
We use ours at home on a daily basis, several times a day and have had no problems whatsoever!! Granted, as I noted in another review, the logo wore off (it's located right where I tend to grab it to fill with water) from frequent use, but that doesn't really bother me.
My biggest concern, because of being a long time Bunn user, was if it would make and keep hot coffee and THAT IT DOES!! I no longer have to empty my coffee into a thermos to keep it warm, which I love! I do have to remember to turn the station off and on again after I have made coffee, otherwise the auto shut off feature shuts it off (after two hours or so) and the coffee gets cold. Other than that I absolutely love it and coming from a coffeholic, that says a LOT!!

"Nice Concept, Disgusting Coffee", I bought this coffee maker because I really liked the press-to-pour concept. I must say, however, it makes the most disgusting cup of coffee I have ever had. It started out ok but over time and even after filtration cleanings, the coffee came out rank.

I have a hard time throwing things that still work away so I asked my husband to give it to one of his workers and he wouldn't do it so I guess it goes to Good Will.

My suggestion: Don't do it no matter how tempted you are. Keep looking.

"Had drip... easy fix", I use this coffee pot everyday and I love it! It makes the best tasting coffee (even the cheap stuff tastes better) and is superfast! I did notice that after a few months, I had a drip problem. I changed the rubber o-ring in the bucket part and it still dripped. One day, after washing the bucket, I didn't put the little filter over the dispenser hole back in and my drip was gone! It is there just in case grounds get in the coffee bucket, thats all. I also change the water filter every 2 or 3 months for the best tasting coffee. I definately recommend this coffee maker.

"Leaky but fixed", I threw away a $150 Cuisinart Grind and Brew and replaced it with this coffee maker. What I like most was it's large capacity. I drink coffee practically all day, and I always have coffee left in the tank at the end of the day. It also brews quickly. The Cuisinart was painfully slow.

After over a year of trouble-free operation, the caraffe started to leak, not at the valve, but around the metal disc at the bottom of the tank. I googled Hamiltion Beach, sent them a nice e-mail, and even though it was outside the warranty period, they shipped me a new caraffe for free, plus $6.95 S&H.

The leak is a common problem, but I'm satisfied with the customer support I received. You can't fill up a travel mug unless you scoot it to the edge of the counter, but I've read they've redesigned it. Otherwise, I love this coffe maker.

"Brew ha ha ", Very satisfied with the product. Brews faster than any other brewer we've had. No messy drip when pouring coffee like a coffee pot. I like the automatic shut off. We are notorious for leaving the house and not remembering if we turned off the pot. No more concerns. The filter does not fold over like many brewers do causing grounds to make it into the pot. The look is very state of the art. Consumer reports rates it high. Price is reasonable and it didn't take long to receive.

"One year life span", This worked great the first year, with only a few hiccups. If a coffee ground got trapped in the hole, then it leaked. Messy, but easy to fix by flushing with water. Then it began leaking all the time. I expect coffee machines to last longer than this!

I hope Hamilton Beach improves this model. I like how it keeps the coffee fresh and doesn't scorch it for those lazy Saturday mornings. But, I wouldn't buy another one until some improvements are made.

"Great Java", This coffee pot will be your last one to buy! You might have to replace it with another one just like it but you will never go back to the old "pot" kind! It make coffee fast and keeps it hot! Takes up less space and cleans easy! I love this thing!!! Everyone always make a comment about my coffee pot! I love it so much I bought one for my travel trailer because I couldn't do with out it for one day!!
