"bodum shot glasses", A bit more resilient than their larger counter parts, these shot glasses are perfect for any cold shot.

"hot's hot; cold's cold", These little glasses work great. Keeps the espresso hot and the vodka cold. I don't dump them in with other dishes to wash them, they appear too fragile, but a little wash and wipe and they're back on the espresso maker.

"Bodum espresso glasses", These glasses are excellent, and elegant, choices for espresso. The double-walled construction keeps your brew warm, and the view of the "crema" through the glass adds a nice visual touch.

"ok but very large for a shot glass", these are great but I was surprised at how they are much larger than standard shot glasses. I should have noticed that it says 6.4 ounces! They are more like a small juice cup, much too big for espresso.

"Stronger than expected!", We love these little insulated espresso glasses. I have three sets, and a three year old toddler! He recently dropped one (he loves them for juice)and it actually survived the drop from the table to a hardwood floor. They insulate our espresso nicely, keeping it warm all the way to the end. Better than I expected.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Clever", These are rather plain glasses, however I chose this variety for two concerns, and have not been disapponted. First, the other bodum double wall products are rife with reviews from people who have broken their glasses. I felt that while the Pavina style was more aesthetically appealing, it also looked as though it might slip from a soapy hand more easily. While that is strictly fancy on my part, I can attest that the Canteen glasses can be handled without undue fear of butterfingers. Somewhere someone mentioned that they wouldn't put this type of glass in a dishwasher, and this is true. It is very light, and I expect it would get blown around like tupperware is wont to do.

The second reason I chose this style was that it was in a 3 oz. capacity, and I intended to use it for tea as well as espresso, and I just couldn't vizualize sipping tea out of a 2 oz. glass.

The insulative properties, while present, are probably not as significant as the hype would suggest. The exterior glass definitely stays cooler; you won't burn your fingers. The beverage temperature, however, does cool noticeably. I would guess these glasses to be about as effective as or slightly less than expanded polystyrene. Definitely nicer to look at than styrofoam glasses, but don't expect performance like an insulated thermos.

Overall, I was pleased enough that I purchased a couple sets of the larger glasses as well.


"great glasses", the canteen shape is not as nice as the 'pavina', but these are still very cool glasses.. who knew thermally insulated glasses could be so lovely?

"fantastic!", I was in NYC earlier this year on business, and I was served an espresso in one of these glasses. It stayed hot for at least 5 times longer than a normal glass and I immediately bought 4 when I returned home. I use these every day; they are utilitarian and beautiful - perfect design in other words.
