Others say...
"Did Not Work!" Made a loud noise when I plugged it in, it got very HOT and the noise did not stop!!! It scared me that it might start a fire so I returned it. Amazon was great, took it back, gave me a full refund plus my shipping expense! "Very good microwave" This is the 3rd Sharp microwave we have owned, it's as good as the others. The stainless steel exterior adds a little more class. "Great buy" This microwave is simple to use with great power & all sorts of features--popcorn setting, melt, soften & other presets. It is definitely worth the money. Quiet & sleek looking as well. Great choice. "Don't pay more" Um, one of the top national electronics retailers has this for 15 dollars less! I won't say which one but it's Careless Checking on those prices by Amazon. "decent for the price" We needed a small stainless steel microwave to fit in the new built-in shelf we had installed with our new cabinets, so our choices were narrowed, but this one fit. It has a nice appearance and works great so far. We use it mostly to heat up leftovers or make popcorn. One thing---we wiped the door "glass" on the outside with a dish towel once. It left scratch marks. The door is not actually glass, it's some kind of plastic. So, be careful when cleaning it. Use a very soft cloth and don't rub too aggressively.

What our customer's say! "It's good", I purchased this microwave after moving into a place that didn't have one. the first one arrived with a broken door. a huge item like that is kind of a pain in the butt to send back, but things happen. The second one arrived in great condition and works great. It's quite a bit more powerful than my last one. Obviously it's a fingerprint magnet because of the finish, but I expected that, just gotta keep it clean and it'll looks nice. I'd buy one of these again... "Great for a handicapped person", I bought this product for my grandson who has CP and has just started college. I wanted him to be able to have a microwave and checked out many brands until I found this one. It had features that make it easier for him to use. "Works well for most things", I purchased this microwave about a year ago and have been pleased with it for the most part. It has consistent heating over the whole food and is quite powerful for the price. The size is also a welcome feature, in that my previous microwave was about 0.7 cubic feet. The stainless steel is easy to clean and adds a contemporary look to the kitchen. My favorite feature is probably the popcorn button which quite literally pops exactly the number of kernels in the bag without burning the popcorn. It is not a feature-filled microwave, but has warm, soften, reheat and defrost options. I only use the defrost beside the cook because I never took the time to determine how they work. Unfortunately the defrost is the only major flaw I can find with the microwave. It is not terribly difficult to use, but as far as I can tell you are unable to "tell" the microwave that you want to cook anything over 2 lbs. Aside from that it is a solid built, good powered, cheap and easy to use. "Works well so far; LCD fogs up", Have only had for a few days, so perhaps a review is premature? Regardless, it arrived in good working condition, and is a microwave. Is there much else to say? On the negative side, from day one, nuke one, the LCD panel fogs up from steam from the inside of the microwave I'd assume. Now, I'm no electronics design guru, but that can't be good sign for the life of the internal components. It replaced my old Amana, which was over 20 years old, working like a champ, but starting to spark a bit. That thing was half microwave, half Russian nuclear sub. Somehow I'm doubting this one will make the 20 year mark. "chinnnie", Clean lines, powerful, & easy to use (& would probably be easier to use if I would read the manual.) No complaints. Easy to clean inside and out. The stainless skin seems to be thin but so far (2 months w/ kids in the house) it has not shown any signs of failure. A great value. ![]()
Read this reviews before You buy... "Works fine --- controls could be a little more convenient", I haven't had any problems with this microwave, but I've only had it for a few weeks. My only beef so far is that it's very inconvenient to select the power level. In order to choose the power level, you have to hit the power level button several times. For instance, if you want the power level at 30%, you have to hit the button 8 times (90%, 80%, 70%, etc.). That is a huge pain in the butt. They should have thought that through better. "sharp microwave", microwave arrived damaged and inoperable. Upon inspection the product and packaging appeared to be of poor quality. I returned for a refund. "sharp stainless microwave", This microwave is exactly as described. Good price and free shipping--what more can you ask for. It was shipped within one week. "Three Month Review", I waited three months to review this oven so I could get to know it first through daily use. It really heats everything up very well, fast and evenly. I haven't really used the special programmed things like the melt feature or different heat levels enough to say anything about them. I mostly reheat leftovers and coffee, and it does a great job with that. I researched ovens thoroughly before choosing this one. I wanted an oven that had a lot of power, and this definitely has it, but I would have preferred a smaller size if I could have found one that just had basic buttons and not all the Popcorn and other programmed fluff settings. The oven itself has a rather cheap hollow feeling to it, like the sound and extra-light feel when closing the door, but the oven itself works well. The only problem I found has been intermittent, and this is that sometimes (probably 1-2 times a month) when I hit the Start button I hear an extra click and the clock blinks out, I lose the programmed heating time and the clock time. I have to reset the clock and re-enter my heat time. This, of course, has never happened to my husband, only me for some reason. A minor inconvenience, and one that had I bought this from a local store I would have taken back and exchanged. Actually, if I hadn't already returned the first oven Amazon sent me, I would have returned this one as well for exchange. The first oven they sent me had a dent in the top surface, and the white enamel was chipped and peeling off the inside. Now that I think about it, I had to return an expensive digital camera recently because after working with it a month it appeared to be a lemon. Personally, any higher priced or bulky products I plan to purchase I think I will get from a local retailer even if they're a little more expensive. A local retailer dealing face to face with customers usually tries to have better quality control, and if I have to return something the process won't be a long drawn out ordeal through the mail. Sometimes less expensive really means cheap. "excellent performance so far", the instruction booklet is a bit confusing, but after reading it a few times I uderstand what to do, I noticed that the suggested cooking times on the TV dinners are still too high, even tho they are based on a 1100 watt machine.. I generally reduce suggested minimum cooking time approx 30-60 seconds less, at least. someone mentioned that it is loud when closing door, True, BUT at least is closed. Its a good buy ![]() |
