"Mattress Topper Review", After several days on the back porch (airing out & re-expanding from shipping compression), this 2" foam topper made my mattress feel better than it did when new. For a modest cost, I now experience a comfort level every bit as good as our $2,000 mattress. Since I have three degenerated discs in my spine, the contoured support makes for a much more restful sleep and I now wake without pain and numbness in my hands. A definite buy recommendation!!

"Smells funny, but feels great", I'm surprised that there weren't as many comments about how strange the foam smells. I worry sometimes about what chemicals I might be breathing in... but the foam is comfy as advertised so if you aren't too sensitive to funny smells, this is a good buy.

"Pretty Squishy and Absorbant", This is a nice addition to any bed that needs an extra boost toward its comfort level.

"Very Comfortable and Affordable", I own a Tempurpedic mattress, which is my bed at home. I also own the Sleep Better 2-Inch Visco Elastic Memory Foam Mattress Topper, Queen, which I used on top of an Aerobed 18in Raised Queen Premium Guest Bed, Queen and slept on 4 nights per week for a few months to save commuting to San Francisco. I now also own the Sleep Better 3-Inch Visco Elastic Memory Foam Mattress Topper, Queen, which I'm using atop a friend's regular mattress that's otherwise like sleeping on a slab of granite.

First off, the foam for the Sleep Better mattress toppers is not the same as the brand name Tempurpedic foam. The Tempurpedic foam is significantly more dense, meaning: 1) it takes a bit longer to respond to your weight / body heat; 2) it gives you significantly more support; and 3) it takes a bit longer to recover when you move.

I actually slightly prefer the 2" topper on the Aerobed to my $1200 Tempurpedic mattress [boy, do I hate to say that!]. The 3" topper on the granite-like mattress is good, but is my least favored combination.

The 3" topper is too soft and too thick. I sink so deeply into it that it's actually some effort to roll over at night. I got used to it after a few nights, and no longer wake up to roll, but I found it annoying. It's certainly not a bad experience. If I hadn't tried the other 2 options, and was only comparing it to sleeping on the granite mattress from h*ll, I would've been thrilled with it. But knowing what the other options are like, it's my least favored of 3 good choices.

The Tempurpedic is a fantastic mattress, and I'll certainly keep it as my primary bed. My only niggling complaint is that, being temperature sensitive, my sleeping experience is different in summer vs. winter. In the hottest month of summer, the mattress is just a bit too soft, and my back isn't optimally supported. In the coldest month of winter, the mattress is a bit too hard. It does soften up after I've been in it for a few minutes, but it's noticeable when you first get in it.

I really like the combination of the Aerobed and the 2" topper. The Aerobed let me adjust the overall firmness of the mattress and provided all the support. But the tufting of the Aerobed results in deep divots in the surface, which are not comfortable. The 2" topper smoothed out the divots and provided excellent cushioning, without being so deep that I sunk into it and lost the mattress's support.

The brand name Tempurpedic products are definitely superior to all competitors I've tried, so if you can afford them, go for it. If not, the Sleep Better products are good options. I recommend the 2" topper over 3". It's more comfortable, cheaper, and your sheets fit more easily.

"Breaks in to fast", The foam broke in 1-2 months, now that it is broken in and out of it's original form, it is not as comfortable when I first got it.

"Decent Quality for the Price, Some Shortcomings", The mattress still has a smell after airing out for a few hours (couldn't resist trying it after that) and still smells the morning after, but only a little bit.

I have had foam toppers before, and I would say that this memory foam is not the best quality (it is not dense enough) but because of its low density, it is quite soft. That makes it perfect for side and stomach sleepers. It doesn't offer as much support as slightly higher density foam when sleeping on your back, but still is OK in that department, and if soft (not fluffy soft, mind you) is your preference, you will like this. I was not as impressed as some of the other users here, but I would say it was worth my money (but not more!)

I ordered the Queen size for my Full size bed, since other users complained about it being too small (and since my mattress is shorter than average size, I was sure my sheets would still fit). It seems the mattress was two inches smaller than queen size on both dimensions, but that made it two inches too large for my full size bed. I used scissors and a knife to cut it down to size. It was a pain in the butt and also more expensive, but now I have a perfectly sized topper that makes me happier than if I had it two inches short on each side.

"Great Sleep!", I purchased this item for my son's bed at college. he called home after his first night of sleep and said how great his bed was! with all the adjustments of going to college for the first time, i am delighted to know that "sleeping' will not be an issue for him, and, in fact, he loves his bed!

"Great memory foam!", I bought this memory foam to put on top of a futon mattress so it would be more comfortable for sleeping and sitting, and it works great! Additionally, there was no horrible smell as some people have claimed. I'm very happy with my purchase, however, I got it when it was in the $40-$50 range (and now it says it costs $95), so do some price comparisons before you decide to go with this one.

" READ -DID NOT NOTICE MUCH OFA SMELL - WONDERFUL", Two weeks ago I paid 109.00 at amazon. Bought a firm Serta (pERFECT DAY FIRM/ 924 COILS FOR QN - GREAT) but it was a little DIFFICULT GETTING USE TO IT AFTER A 10" FOAM POSTERPEDIC THAT KILLED BY BACK. so I bought this topper. WONDERFUL. I have the full support of my firm mattress, but I don't feel it. I sleep sosososo comfortably. I don't write reviews, but this was too good - had to. I plan to turn it 4 ways as time goes by and when it' time, buy another, etc. DID NOT SMELL TO ME AND I AM SENSITIVE TO ALL CHEMICAL SMELLS. i DON'T WEAR COMMERCIAL PERFUME, ETC.
