"Poor quality - big disappointment" The first thing that caught my eye was that the box was water-damaged. The outer box was perfectly fine so I can only assume the water came from wherever the pan was stored in the warehouse. Next, I pulled the pan and lid out and noticed immediately that the glass lid had someones fingerprint smudges on it and was covered in dried water stains. Clearly, the product was used and returned. No quality control there! I was quite disappointed with the weight of the pan. I have used this type of pan for years and this one was light-weight and cheaply built. I compared it with my old one that I was replacing and the sides of the pan are shorter than expected. I bought this pan when the price was $19.99 and I could not be induced to keep it, even for that price. This pan is selling now for almost $100! It's not worth $5!!! The one good thing about this experience is that Amazon will let you return the product with free return shipping. As the pan comes in a fairly big box, it was nice to return such a crappy item and not have to pay to get my money back. My account was credited quickly and easily. "Wow" This is definitely worth the original $100.00 price. I actually got it for 19.99 on clearance and I must say it was a winning deal. The heat distribution is superb and the quality of the nonstick surface is unbeatable. I've seen this pot in the stores and even getting it at $100 is a deal. Anything less than $80 is a steal. "Very good product, Finish is excellant" this is a very nice product and the designed exterior finish seems very strong and should not breakdown as on some other lines of cookware "Best pan for the price" This is a best priced pan that I bought. We have an old, 1 year, same pan and it has the same problem that this one has, i.e. the handles become hot during use. Plus the new one that we bought is light in weight and thus to us less in quality. If you can avoid the handle issue, then it's a 5 star pan "Great pan" This is one of my favorite pans, its clean up is a snap, and the size is great for anything from soups to casserole type dishes. I recommend it.

What our customer's say! "Great cookware!", I have been very pleased with my Anolon Cookware! I searched several websites and stores and Amazon offered the lowest price. It arrived on time. I love the way it is easy to wash and I love the way it cooks. The only thing that I don't like is that it takes a while to heat up and you can't use high heat. But, it's very heavy duty quality cookware. I'm sure I will get many years worth of use out of it! "Great until the nonstick surface wears -- about 18 months", I've used this pan almost daily for the past 18 months. Love it for its size, even cooking and ease of cleanup. The past couple months I noticed that things began burning. Probably have to get a new one. Haven't decided between this and the Calphalon. If this were still under $20, I'd get two -- one to use and one to store until I needed another one. At $87.00, I'm not sure I'd get another Analon brand. "Good occasional use pan", I believe this pan was a premium gift for a larger purchase. I was able to purchase it at a good price so I decided it would be worth it. We're a small family so I don't use it that much but I like it for larger recipes when I don't want to use my dutch oven. I don't know how well it will hold up over the years but I plan to wash it by hand and not use it over high heat, so I'm expecting that it will last. I have other Anolon skillets and I've been pleased with them. So far it has been a good addition to my basic cookware - both stainless and non-stick. "Analopn 5 quart 11 inch Saucier with lid", A good product for slow cooking vegetables, with minimum liquid and baking. It is easy to clean. "5Qt Sauteuse Special", Though this Anolon pot is of generally good quality, it is not a "Professional" series add-on. The general heft and feel of this pot is nowhere near the rest of the set. The exterior finish of this pot reminds me of a sloppy auto paint job. In all fairness however, this however does not affect the performance of the pot. 
Read this reviews before You buy... "Product is different from the pictures", I bought this one recently. When I received it, I found it looked different from the picture. The three handles are different from the pictures, which is without beautifully styled curve shape as shown in the pictures and description of the product. In addition the real thin handles is very hot and hard to touch when I cook something. I was so disappointed since I like the beautiful shape of the handles in the pictures very much. "Great buy", I bought this on sale, so am very happy with the buy. The product has lived up to the reviews I read on amazon. This can witstand 500 degrees in the oven too, I baked a full stuffed cornish hen with veggies in this and it cooked beautifully. I prefer glass lids in general because I can see how my stuff is cooking. The reason for a 4 star versus 5 is because unlike advertised, the handles, both for the sauteuse and lid get very hot, so should be handled wearing kitchen gloves. And I don't mean for 500 degree ovens but also just stove top cooking, they get really hot. "Good quality pan - good price", I bought this at the same time I purchased the Analon cookware set, it has been a handy addition. Just like the set the quality is fantastic and they are incredibly easy to clean. A really good buy. "Great Item!", All I can say is wow. Item was packed very well and works great. Very easy to clean and it's nice and big. Handles do get hot but that's ok just use a towel when moving it. "A Wonderful Pan", I have used many brands of nonstick pans over the years and have found Anolon to be one of the best. I have several of these pans and love them. As with any pan, you must care for them properly. I found that seasoning them with oil occasionally keeps the nonstick in prefect condition. I use this pan for various dishes, large and small. I even use it as a frying pan if I use a lot of oil so the oil does not splatter all over the stove. I have had my Anolon pots and pans for years and they are still in excellent condition and work the same now as when they were new. |
