"Incredible coffee"
I've had this coffee maker for almost one month now and I absolutely love it. My parents have owned the same machine for years and it's still going strong. The only difference that I could decipher between the E8 and the E9 is that the E9 is painted silver instead of black. Amazon was selling them for the same price, and silver fit better with the rest of my kitchen accessories, so I opted for this model.

The question of whether or not to buy such an expensive machine came down to a number of factors for me: 1) quality of coffee, 2) ease of use, 3) durability & build quality.

As far as quality of coffee goes, I find what this machine produces to be wonderful. I use dark roast Starbucks beans and I've had no issues. I read that the Starbucks beans can be a little too oily and cause jams; I've had no such issues, at least so far. The manual recommends "airing out" the beans for a few hours before putting them in the machine, so I do this.

Ease of use is wonderful. It even comes with a DVD just in case you find reading too laborious. I opted for the DVD and it taught me everything I needed to know to get this thing up and running, and properly maintained.

Build quality & durability remain to be seen, though I know 3 people who have owned these machines without major issues. The most regular complaint of the Jura-Capresso line, at least in my experience reading reviews, is that the service people are very unfriendly. I wonder if this is a function of the ego of the average purchaser of a $1,000 coffee maker, or if the support people truly are a cantankerous bunch. I'll probably find out one way or the other, but snippiness on the phone isn't enough to deter me, if in fact that is the case. I love this machine too much. RECOMMENDED!

"awesome so far!"
Great machine, makes great coffee so far. I have had it for two weeks and it rocks, fast easy and great tasting everytime... product shipped was different then product shown and a bit less fancy but all features are the same, just not as user friendly as the pictured product. I still think it is a great machine.

What our customer's say!

"Jura Capresso E9", Great coffee... fast, surprisingly quiet for a machine that also grinds beans and so easy to use for everything... the coffee, espresso and steamed and frothed milk. We had a Keurig single serve coffeemaker previously and find that this is much less expensive than the k-cups, the coffee is better and you have a choice of strengths and cup size. The Keurig was very limited. The coffee from the Impressa is even more controlled if you use the ground coffee, then you select your own amount to use per cup... although I have not had a problem with strengths in the strong, robust setting with beans (I like my coffee strong).

I would definitely recommend this machine.

"Good coffee, weak espresso", The Jura-Compresso makes a decent cup of coffee but it is far from an espresso machine. I've been making venti size mochas (with 3 shots of espresso) for 15 years between my Starbuck's Barista and my Delongi machine. When I switched to the Jura I was very disappointed in the strength of the coffee. I also found the frother was terrible at frothing. I contacted Jura and they were very helpful in helping me but in conclusion the machine didn't perform as advertised. I returned it and purchased a DeLongi Magnific and I'm very happy. It makes excellent espresso shots and by using the "mild" setting, you can get an excellent cup of coffee. On one good note, Amazon was very helpful.Jura-Capresso 13204 Impressa E9 Automatic Coffee and Espresso Center

"Coffee very weak", Jura-Capresso 13204 Impressa E9 Automatic Coffee and Espresso CenterCannot get a good cup of coffee. Have tried all major brands but the coffee is still weak. Had to return for service after 6months. they replaced the grinder and brewer. Service was very fast and reps are very courteous and helpful.Would not buy an automatic again.

"Outstanding Product!!", We we wondering if we had gone overboard spending about $1,000 on a coffee machine but after 200 cups we are sure we did the right thing. The machine has had a lot of use over the past few weeks with family and friends visiting. The comments have been uniformly outstanding.
The machine is idiot-proof and the result is great.
I figure I will pay for it in 5 years with reduced spending in Starbucks :)

"Very poor at frothing", I have owned cappuccino machines for about 25 years and all of them even at 1/10 this price could produce proper milk froth. (I know how to do it and use skim milk.) I have watched the DVD and called for customer support and practiced for weeks to no avail. The froth produced in either the "up" or "down" position of the frothing wand is too loose and bubbly like dish detergent bubbles not thick and creamy. Unfortunately, I have been trying for too long and having passed the 30 days cannot get a full refund. If you like a nice frothy cappuccino, try another brand.
