Others say...

"Good for little ones, not so for toddlers..."
For a newborn, you can't go wrong. However, once a little one can pull to standing, this pail is a hazard. There's no latching mechanism so interested toddlers can get into the pail (BLECH!!!!) It's also the least stable pail I've used (I'm an Infant Teacher/Caregiver in a preschool) so IF a little one pulls up while nearby, both the child and the pail can topple. I'm really careful, but if I'm changing two babies consecutively, the one NOT on the table will often TRY to get into it... if you have a toddler (or two), go for something more sturdy like the genie, champ or dekor...

"Hands Free!"
Hands free; no bending, stuffing, and twisting AND watching a rolling baby at the same time like when using the Diaper Genie. You can use grocery bags or inexpensive garbage bags instead of pricey refill cartridges, and a stick-up deodorizer helps with the slight odor when the lid is up. So far there's no odor when the lid is closed but baby's not on solids yet.

My only negitive is there's a compartment underneath the lid for a deodorizing disc that fell off into the garbage and was inadvertently thrown away. It's still a great pail, I just now use a stick-up on the inside.

"Great Product!"
Great product :) I specially like its size, it's big enough, but not so big it is the first thing you see when you enter the room. It also keeps the smell inside it, like other very costly models I've seen, for a fraction of the price. I'm thinking about buying another one soon, I recommend it.

"BUY THIS DIAPER PAIL!!!!!"
I took a chance on saving with this 9.99 diaper pail....it is amazing, we had our changing table in our bedroom for a while when our son was first born and I have NEVER ONCE smelled his dirty diapers, and he is a breat fed baby so they are QUITE stinky. I just use VERY CHEAP vanilla scented bags and even when I take it out I smell the vanilla first. What a relief to be able to save a little money!

"The best all-around diaper pail."
I use cloth diapers on all three kids, but still need a diaper pail for dirty wipes and the few disposable diapers that I do use. I've owned and used this diaper pail for the last four years and it is my favorite all-around diaper pail. It's hands free so you don't spread any messes and the large opening makes it easy to get the dirty things inside. I line it with a standard "medium" size store-brand trash bag. Actually I can fit more inside this diaper pail than in my more expensive "no odor" pail. This diaper pail would also work really well if you used it for your dirty cloth diapers (I use cloth diaper pails for that, though). As for the stinky smell coming out when you open the lid, considering what's inside, I think that should be expected, but it's only while the lid is open. Otherwise, when the lid is closed, it contains odors really well. I would definitely buy this again and I recommend it to new mothers.

What our customer's say!

"Perfect Diaper Pail", Don't look any further - and don't waste $$ on expensive diapers pails. This is the BEST!!! It uses regular 8 gallon trashbags, works great...and holds the stink in :-) BUY THIS, you will not regret it!

*I also recommend that you buy the diaper pail deodorizing disks...they smell great. You don't really need them...but they add a little something!

"Love it!", Simple, easy and does the trick. It keeps all the poopy smells inside the pail instead of roaming through the house. :-)

"Overall great", It should say that the deoderizer does not come with it. Other than that it is very handy.

"Handy foot pedal, slightly small", We purchased this diaper pail approx. 3 months ago to soak cloth diapers in. We have not had a problem with bad smells coming from the pail yet. The foot pedal is very convenient. However, we did have problems with the foot pedal always coming off the groove. My husband simply fixed this by using two screws to fasten the foot pedal down - no problems since. It is also slightly small - I end up washing diapers about every other day. It does work well though and I am happy with this purchase.

"Great so far!", With our newborn this is a great (and budget-friendly) pail where we can use non-special trash bags to pitch dirty diapers. The foot pedal is the best -- hands-free was a critical factor in my research -- thanks again to the Amazon community of parents who gave feedback to help us out. I did want to point out the size is just right in that it holds about a day's worth of business. Who needs to store more? One tiny complaint: On hard-wood floors the pail tends to slide a bit when you try to get at it with just your toes, but I think that it just takes a little practice to hit it from the side of the foot. Otherwise will paste a nonstick rubber something to the bottom to solve.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Best Diaper Pail for the Money!", After researching diaper pails for what felt like weeks I finally decided on this one. It is certainly not as fancy as some of the others but those came with a hefty price tag and mixed reviews so I didn't want to spend that much money just to have the dreaded diaper smell.

This diaper pail is simple: step on the lever to open the top and toss in the diaper. Of course there is a smell when the lid is open (there are dirty diapers in there afterall!), but the smell is quickly banished once the top is replaced. We use a scented liner trashbag in the pail and when the bag is taken out the smell is no longer present in the pail itself. So, this product is straight forward . . . low price, easy to use, keep the lid down and you won't have to deal with the smell. You can't ask for much more than that!

"Great for "used" cat litter", This product works great right next to the cat litter pan - simple to lift the lid when cleaning the cat litter box

"Not bad for the money", There is nothing special about this diaper pail. It doesnt control odor any more than what I used before. But it's easy to use--bags are easy to change and the lid opens readily. As small as it is, the dirty diapers are changed frequently to minimize odor. It's a decent diaper pail for the price and have no regrets. I'm glad I made the purchase.

"Easy to use, but STINKY!!!", I've been using this diaper pail for 15 months. The foot pedal makes it so easy to use. And you can use any trash bag. However, it does not contain the stink. The bad odor fills the room, not just when you open it, but whenever there is a smelly diaper in it. I'm in the market for a new diaper pail.

"keeps smells in! ", I have been using this pail for 6 months and love it I use regular small trash bags 4.00 from grocery store and I don't have to empty it every day b/c it holds in odors really well. Only have to caution if your LO get's a lot of poopies in one day. then it may be a problem but for 10 dollars it is the best!!
