"Nice"
I agree, the huge sticker is a pain to take off...I recommend pulling it off very slowly & then removing any excess with an adhesive remover.

Aside from the huge sticker, it works great!

"Great design -- But what's up with the unremovable label?"
The design of this product is great, and I'd really like to start using my napkin holder, but I have not been able to remove the adhesive from the large (4" x 3.5") labels that are on either side of the holder. One of the other reviewers had this same problem -- but her label was only on one side, my labels are on both -- did you ever figure it out? I've tried everything I could think of... Goo Gone, stainless steel cleaner, soaking in hot water. Nothing is removing the remnants of the label. I bought my napkin holder from Amazon a couple weeks ago and I may have to toss it out and get a different product if I cannot get it clean. (I'll update if I ever figure this out. Please post suggestions if you have any.)

"Napkin Troubles Solved"
Perfect solution to an age old problem. All other holders either allowed the napkins to fall in a heap unless full or held the napkins too tight causing several to come out each time. This one solves both problems. The only thing that kept me from giving it five stars was the darn product label. Have tried 3 different kinds of solvent to remove the glue to no avail. OXO use a different glue on your stainless steel products.

"Nice looking but sticker a bear to get off"
On one side, this looks like a lovely napkin holder. The shape is very nice and it holds the napkins in very well, yet they are easy to remove. I love the design. My big gripe is about the giant product sticker they put on the other side. It took a long time to get the sticker off, and I still couldn't get all of the residue cleared from the napkin holder. There are a few small scratches now from trying to dig off the sticker. I'll try some Goo-Gone and update this review if it completely clears the gunk away.

"Serves one at a time as promised"
The design of this item is very, very clever. Indeed, it dispenses only one (or more, if you grab them) napkins at a time. It's stainless steel, however, which means difficulties keeping little fingerprints off. If this were made of something coated, it would be just perfect. As it is, it is a great gift for someone and I don't know how we lived without it.

What our customer's say!

"Doesn't work for us", Okay, I really wanted to like this. I was thrilled when I easily peeled the dreaded sticker (that has given so many others fits) from the side...no sticky mark or residue at all! My problem came when I tried to remove the napkins one at a time which seems to be the redeeming quality of this product. To my extreme disappointment, they didn't come out one at a time. "What am I doing wrong?", I found myself saying. Then I realized, I shouldn't have to figure out how to "correctly" remove a napkin from a holder. After much trial and error, a super quick flick will produce the best results...but not consistently. If it is too full, or too low on napkins, the quick flick method does not work. Last night my husband tried the best method (quick flick of the wrist) to remove a napkin from this holder and actually said, "I can't believe how much I hate this thing." That was my cue to write this review. I really wanted to like this product, but it just wasn't in the cards for us.

"Very Smart Design", This product is the best I have ever seen on the market. The weight of two plates just right to hold the napkin and easy to pull a sheet out.

"Stylish & Functional", This napkin holder not only looks nice, it also works quite well. I have a 4.5 year old and a 2.5 year old pulling napkins out of it during their meals and as long as they only pull on one, that's all that comes out.

The only con is that this is not made out of the stainless steel that my stove or fridge is made of, which resists finger prints. Those show up quite well. That's the only thing holding me back from giving it 5 stars. However, even knowing that, I would have still purchased it.

"Great Napkin Holder!", This is a nice, contemporary looking napkin holder that is very well-made. It can hold a lot of napkins or just a few and does not take up much space on the table/counter since it is upright. I do want to report that the manufacturer sticker now peels off very easily so all the previous complaints about this has now been resolved.

"Not worth it, and it was free", Got this for free as part of a 4-for-3 promotion, and it wasn't worth it. As others have noted, it came with a large sticker on one side that was difficult to remove and left behind an adhesive residue that cannot be removed. Also, the edges are very sharp and I cut myself while trying to remove the sticker. The spring tensioner is very weak, and doesn't hold up the knapkins properly. Finally, because of the sharp edges, you run the risk of scratching whatever surface upon which it rests.

"Serves one at a time as promised", The design of this item is very, very clever. Indeed, it dispenses only one (or more, if you grab them) napkins at a time. It's stainless steel, however, which means difficulties keeping little fingerprints off. If this were made of something coated, it would be just perfect. As it is, it is a great gift for someone and I don't know how we lived without it.

"Well Done!", An effective way to keep a supply of napkins standing tall. The pressure from the sides squeezes the supply gently but effectively, allowing a smaller amount of napkins to be held in place neatly. It's easy to pull out one napking at a time and it's tall enough to prevent the supply from drooping over. The only problem I had was with the manufacturer's sticker which was VERY difficult to completely remove and if one is not careful, it would be easy to mar the brushed (satin) finish.

"This is the one you've been waiting for!", I have been in need of a napkin holder for a while but refused to buy a mediocre one. It took a while for me to find this but I love it! The OXO napkin holder looks good and works really well. It pinches the napkins together so that you can easily pull just one napkin out at a time. Of course if you want to pull out 3 napkins it'll pull out precisely 3 napkins, nothing more, nothing less. The only small complaint I have about this is the base of the holder doesn't have a rubber or silicone grip which I think would be nice on tile or granite surfaces. Other than that, I like this napkin holder a lot, it works really well like all the other OXO products.

"OXO is a great product line", I have many products made by OXO and they are the best quality around. This napkin holder fits the decor of the kitchen and works very well. If you want one napkin that's all that comes out, if you want three or four then that's what you get. I'm pleased with it.

"Works exactly as promised", Allowing you to pull one napkin at a time without disturbing the others. It's sleak stainless steel design looks great in my stainless kitchen.
