"beats all skillet"
Heats evenly, good capacity, lightweight, heat proof handle, cleans up like a dream and is a great buy at this price.

"lighter than other annodized pans and a cheap hollow handle"
I bought this off teh cooks recommendation. I didn't like the handle that much. While it isn't flimsy, its not as strong as I would have liked-its hollowed out with rounded edges but not as nice as say the cooks line from JC Penneys (which I own a 8" annodized nonstick skillet with eclipse nonstick coating that I love!!)

The handle is two pieces riveted to the pan instead of one solid one. I'm not fond of that either...just seems cheaply designed but hey its not all clad!!!
Add to it that when it arrived the pan was out of round but the box didn't look damaged at all. I may look at Penny's or Sears for this as Sears has one for less with no shipping charges.

I'm a pretty avid Cooks fan and follow their recommedations but this one looks like they went for a real value oriented choice on this one.

"Great saute pan."
I chose this pan on the recommendation of Cook's Illustrated. I was pleased to throw away my old Calphalon pan which had seen hard duty. This pan is every inch as good as the Calphalon, at about one fourth the price. It has a nice heft to it and I like the long cool handle. It browns well and evenly, certainly hasn't warped or scratched and with a universal lid I can use it for many kinds of cooking. I might buy a couple more and put them away for when this one gives out.

"Great Non-stick pan....recommended by "Cook's Country""
I bought this pan because it was recommended by "Cook's Country" magazine (sister magazine to "Cook's Illustrated".) I respect their test kitchen immensely...it's like the "Consumer Reports" of cooking. The pan is the perfect size and very light weight. The handle does not get hot when on the stove top and it is very comfortable to hold. I'm going to purchase the 8" pan also.

"Great pan, handle could be better"
This is a great pan. The non-stick coating is the best I've seen so far in a pan. Clean-up is very easy, and the pan heats nice & evenly. Constructions seems very solid.
My only gripe is the handle; it's a bit too narrow and doesn't provide much leverage when trying to tilt the pan sideways. Other than that I really like this pan, and would definitely recommend it to friends/ family.

What our customer's say!

"Excellent product",
This saute pan is excellent, easy to use and I highly recommend it.

"best skillet", I LOVE this skillet. I use it more than any other skillet I own and I absolutely LOVE IT!

"As good as ", This pan is as good as ATK says it is. I have sauteed chicken cutlets, created a pan sauce from the fond, carmelized onions, and made pizza sauce. It accommodated everything nicely and clean up was a breeze. Don't hesitate. Get this pan since it is almost impossible to find in the stores.

"excellent value", I saw saute pans reviewed on a morning news show and this one got high rating despite its price. We really like it! It heats evenly and its no stick surface works wonderfully.

"12 inch non-stick pan", This is a very easy pan to use and clean up. Even making fried Chinese noodles with veggies doesn't stick. The pan has a nice weight and seems hardy. I highly recommend it!

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Insanely Good Product", My wife and I bought this skillet based off of Cooks Illustrated's review, and we're glad we did. It's got the widest bottom I've ever seen in a 12 inch skillet (skillets are measure by the top width, not the bottom) and the non-stick works incredibly well and is incredibly tough. Only downside is that it should be hand-washed (not dishwasher safe), but that's to be expected from any high quality pan, and it's not that big of a deal since stuff rarely sticks to it.

"Unexpectedly impressed", I've used this pan dozens of times in the month I've had it, and unlike pans I've paid many times this price for, this one still looks almost like it did right out of the box. It even fits a lid from a deceased Calphalon! WearEver ought to expand this line beyond the few things they have listed on their website. Cook's Illustrated was right, even if the price went up from when they reviewed it - still a deal, since it actually does what others merely claimed to do. Now let's see how long it continues this way...

"Terrific saute pan!!", I recently bought this product and found to my delight it's everything it's said to be. When I first looked at it I thought 'so what's the big deal, it looks like every other skillet of its type.' But it's not! It's so easy to use. The "non-stick" truly IS. The "easily washable" IS! But the best part is that it conducts heat so very well. The size, by the way, is also perfect. I use it for much more than just sauteing.

"great pan", nonstick surface is great for omelets, but has enough 'stick' to brown meats and creat fond. retains heat well and on med heat (electric stove) am able to sear meats and fish if pan has been preheated. there are some crevices where handle attaches to pan and may get icky in the future, otherwise love it. ordered a second one.
*** UPDATE: it's been a month and it's still a great pan, BUT the nonstick coating over the nubbins that secure the handle to the pan is wearing off all the way to the bare metal. I only use chopsticks and silicone spatulas and wash with a reguar cellulose sponge (not even a scrubber one as you don't need it for this pan). SO... I did order a second pan before noticing this but will reserve these pans for things that won't really reach up to the nubbins. Still does a great job with eggs, fish, and other things that just come out better with a good nonstick.

"Ultimate 12" saute pan", Rated a 'best buy' and highly recommended by Cooks Illustrated, I nevertheless hesitated to buy it sight unseen. But having used it (and its 8" little cousin) I continue to be amazed...handle stays cool; it's easy to clean; good balance; even heating/cooking; seems very durable. I really looked hard before buying this one, but very glad I have it now! I then bought the Wearever 10" covered skillet, in the same style and construction, which I also highly recommend.
